I'm thinking about writing a story about a tank and its five man crew. But I have no idea about tank warfare, tank commands, things that the commander, gunner, loader and others say to each other. You know, military talk.

I've noticed a lot outside of the US the police/military have their handguns attached to cables.
Why do they do this?
It seems like only more to go wrong.
Like getting the cable wrapped around your neck or your trigger finger in a dispute.

Recently won a standard Russian SKS off gunbroker in excellent condition. Is there any kind of tension mount that exists that won't damage the gun so I can mount a PU scope on it? I really don't want to drill into the gun but I'd like a scope on it if possible

Regardless, the SKS doesn't really have much in terms of solid platforms to put optics on. I've seen aftermarket dust-covers and gas blocks with scope mounts on them but those tend to not be steady enough to hold a zero worth a shit.

Hey! The 64 was my first rifle too, well first modern rifle that is.
It's great, pretty bare bones but it's quite accurate, even compared to everyone's favorite, the 10/22.
I will say this, mags are kind of ridiculous when it comes to price, and they're heavy and kind of shitty too. However they do work.
Make sure you give it a really good cleaning when you pick it up. The factory Grease is alright but if you shoot it out the box it gunks up pretty fast.
