Hey! The 64 was my first rifle too, well first modern rifle that is.
It's great, pretty bare bones but it's quite accurate, even compared to everyone's favorite, the 10/22.
I will say this, mags are kind of ridiculous when it comes to price, and they're heavy and kind of shitty too. However they do work.
Make sure you give it a really good cleaning when you pick it up. The factory Grease is alright but if you shoot it out the box it gunks up pretty fast.

I've got the bolt-action equivalent of that rifle, and it's fairly accurate with a scope even though the irons are cruddy
It'll be fine for squirrels and rabbits if that's what you plan on hunting
