Why aren't you carrying the best type of pistol in the best caliber /k/?
>>

While I'm a .45 fanboy, in a revolver .357 is king.
>>
>>32366685
Cause 8 is more than 6 and 15 is more than those two combined.

And that's why you should stick to .45 LC if you're using a lightweight snub
>>
Gee I wonder why they made a cartridge called Colt AUTOMATIC Pistol and then didn't use it in revolvers... Almost like better revolver cartridges exist and a workable automatic cartridge was needed. Probably not though I'm, just an idiot. Sorry for posting.

If you limp wrist a semi-auto you're a pansy ass anyway.
>>
>>32366685
very comfy setup, OP. how much did it cost you?

I don't know why this is a thing but I'm glad it is.
>>
>>32366883

I'm curious why they don't make a 10mm Rhino. 10mm operates at similar pressures to .40S&W and is hardly any longer.
>>
>>32366685
i really like that knife, wheres it from?
>>
>>32366922
the cylinder is actually oversized for .40s&w. it is definitely large enough to fit 10mm, but there is a "ledge" that keeps the case from going in any deeper so you'd have to machine that down for 10mm to fit.

>>
>>32366717
This. .45 ACP is awesome, but might as well go with some .357 JHP.

>>32366719
Yeah, because 15 rounds is needed when the vast majority of self-defense instances involve either no shots fired, or between 1-3. The issue of capacity is essentially moot.

>>32366732
I wouldn't forget about the Webley Mk.VI so quickly. Yeah .45 ACP is more potent than .455 Webley, but that DA/SA Webley trigger is sex, and auto-ejecting is like brass fireworks going off erry time you reload.

Limp wristing isn't much of an issue with all-steel firearms. It's mostly pistols with polymer frames you have to watch out for.

why would you go out of your way to get a niche revolver chambered in .45acp when there's an abundance of good revolvers in .357/.38special, .44mag, and .45 colt as well as great semi-auto pistols in .45acp with a much higher capacity?
>>
>>32369509
To be fair, that DOES look badass and comfy as fuck. I was about to ask if that really was an M1917, but it would appear to be so. A shame that it can only be properly reloaded when using moon clips. I definitely understand the advantage of using 3-rnd clips though. If you fire a couple rounds but want to top up, just eject the 3-rnd clip that has 1 round left and put in a fresh one. If you could find a way to make the clips yourself, and make them easily/quickly enough to where they're disposable, then I really like the idea of not caring about any half-moon clips or moon clips that are dropped with no live rounds left. Normally with reloading, you want to retain your mags, unless you're pants-on-head retarded (or if you're in the Military). As for clips, even those are best to retain unless you SERIOUSLY buy a fuckton in bulk for cheap. So the idea of being able to reload without having to worry about retaining is, as stated earlier, comfy as fuck.

>>32369710
This, pretty much. I love .45 ACP, but really might as well go for .357/.38 or .44 Mag.
>>
>>32367501
>not liking the cheapest guvnah food option.

What is wrong with ya?
Nice bit about 625s and guvnahs is the moonclip acts as it's own speedloader, and helps eject the block of casings too.

This does make it an all or nothing deal. Cheaper materials, especially like tulammo steel casings can jam the whole cylinder if a casing splits. No aluminum issues so far.

Even on high quality brass any casemouth ding will prevent all 6 from loading. Always good to inspect as you load.

Moonclips eat fingers, bewarned. Load pressing into a table. Unload with shoestrings.
>>
>>32367501
Can you use 45 colt+p in governors or judges? Seems like a very cool revolver
>>
>>32371055
You can use 45 auto +p in smith tevolvers of governor or 625 flavor. Issue is 45 colt (or 45lc) lacks a standardized +p SAAMI rating.

Short answer yes, long yes as long as it doesn't exceed 45 auto +p pressure, which how do you know if any given +p 45colt does?
>>
>>32367230
First off, ACP stands for "Automatic Colt Pistol". Second of all, revolvers are not semiautomatic - they are their own type of pistol. Thirdly, you're retarded.
>>
How is the Chiapa Rhino?

How ignorant you are.
>>
>>32366685
short barrel 45 acp ballistics arent great. you need to pick the right hollowpoint and even then your expansion is never reliable.

i think revolvers are classy and great but a snubby 45ACP is not the right one.

well if i cant look as cool as you at least i can seduce your woman pretty easily, being a badboy and all
>>

It's a snub. Snubs are better with thick and slow rounds.
>>
>>32371818
I wonder what happens if one of these is used in self defense.
>>
>>32371829
Probably something by EAA, Charter Arms, or Taurus/Rossi. I would not recommend buying one from any of those companies if you can help it though.

EAAs are generally mediocre shooters that are finished EXTREMELY roughly (much worse than even Taurus).

Charter Arms has changed ownership a large number of times, and the current iteration has issues with QC/parts breakage; however, they are generally quite good about honoring their warranty. Their revolvers are also extremely unaesthetic and have things like plastic trigger guards/grip frames depending on model.

Taurus's revolvers are hit or miss. Sometimes they can actually be alright, but just as often you'll end up with one that shoots itself loose very quickly or has something break.

When you consider that you can get a SP101 or GP100 for ~$100 to $150 more than any of these and that the SP101 and GP100 are both infinitely better than any of these, there is little reason NOT to either spend slightly more or save a little longer to get a gun that will be far superior in function, fit, and finish.
