Found this 7.62x25 at my LGS for half the cost of the regular surplus. Is this stuff safe to shoot out of my Tokarev and P762? Some people tell me it is, some tell me it's PPSH ammo that's way too hot.
>>32366889
seems to be made in 53, so I see no problem
>>32366889
It's fine go ahead and use it.
It's fine; there's no 7.62 Tokarev surplus you can't fire from a TT33.
>>32366900
Oh, is that what that means? Can you understand the rest of it?
>>32366905
I figure it's safe, just want to confirm. I'm pretty sure the PPSH thing is fuddlore anyway-didn't it just use regular 7.62x25?
I have some of the same stuff squirreled away. Shits hot. Its loaded to ppsh specs but it shouldn't glock your tok.
Its like using that ZQI 9mm in your pistol which is also loaded to smg specs

I can't speak Czech, so no, sorry
>>32366937
Don't know, don't care. I just hate Canadians and was hoping it would KB and kill you.
>>32366948
I thought PPSH ammo was just regular Tok ammo.
I'm more concerned about pic related, though.
>>32366987
Its a modern pistol is should be able to handle hot ammo if it can't then its obviously a peice of shit
>>32366889
I have a chronometer if you want to test it
>>32367070
We should. I''mm interested if it really is much hotter.
>>32366937
Russians were extremely big on standardization so I'd think it's fuddlore.
>>32366987
Ppsh ammo is tok ammo. They're both 7.62x25
Its just loaded with a faster burning powder than whats needed to cycle a pistol.
Ppsh being a blowback open bolt needs more oomph to press the bolt back. It probably increased its cyclic rate also.
Its not enough to kaboom your pistol, i don't think they changed the bullet grain, just faster powder.

Its czech so i not sure what your point is
Where the fuck did you find $6 7.62x25 in Canada? That's a great price
>>32366889
I shoot that shit all the time.
>>32367687
So should I use a heavier recoil spring?>>32368431
At my LGS. $6 for 40 rounds on clips.
>>32366889
It will be fine.
>>32366889
I've shot a bunch of it out of my tok, same year and no problems.
>>32367687
>They're both 7.62x25
that sounds awfully much like someone talking about the WWII -era Finnish SMG ammo and regular 9x19mm Para and saying "they are both 9x19mm Para"
>>32367687
>Ppsh being a blowback open bolt needs more oomph to press the bolt back
Germans apparently used their WWI -era stockpiles of 7.63x25mm Mauser in captured PPSHs and apparently they worked just fine despite the fact that 7.62x25mm Tokarev is apparently much hotter than its parent cartridge.

>calls himself a STALKER
>doesn't use a mak
CHEEKI
BREEKI
you might have issues with it cycling properly and having the slide stay back
>>32369285
Tokarev is actually downloaded compared to Mauser.
>>32371724
wrong
>>32368889
Who is your LGS fuckface
>>32371724
Nope
