My mother found this old rifle in the basement.
The writing identifies it as a "Gardone V.T" from beretta.
I can't seem to find much about it on the internet.
I'm currently in another country so I can't check it myself.
I guess this is a basement, attic ecc. ecc. find thread.
I'm interested, bump.
the writing here says "fucile rinforzato brevetto"
Reinforced rifle patent

So I guess "gardone V.T" is the manufacture plant then.
Thanks a lot

I'm actually American but the rifle is in Italy.
My mother intends to keep it and use it herself

Apparently my grandfather won it playing cards with a hunter but never used.
I'm pretty sure Italians are allowed to own shotguns.

we are allowed to own almost anything that's not automatic.
Also the rules are not enforced very well, I've heard several times full auto fire from hunters while in the woods.

>Italians hunting with automatics
I'm now imagining some Italian dude named Luigi, wearing a chefs outfit, with a thick, bushy mustache, hunting with pic related.

What an amusing thought

Looks like the fun from the lupara wiki article before being cut down

Gardone V.T. stands for Gardone Val Trompia, Beretta's main plant location and HQ

Until the EU decides to fuck up with our gun rights again, we can own any non full auto weapon as long as it is in a different caliber from the official NATO ones.
Here a Mauser k98 is classified as a hunting gun, btw.
