I've done it! I created a masterpiece that could only be expressed in the deep bowels of my mind.

What is best to choose - commissions or webcomics for making money online, i managed to find a job that will allow me 8+ hr of free time do draw, i wish to polish my art into a real skill. I like the idea of making webcomics but i don't know if it's worth it.

Commissions. 95% of webcomics are just ignored.

Also this would depend on your skill level with art/.
>>
>>3035946
commissions that aren't porn are ignored too

so i must get good at porn then

I've had a blog for 2 years, in the beginning, i was making progress but I've stagnated this whole year. Now I feel embarrassed every time I post something.

So about PayPal, is there any reason they'd get suspicious if I regularly received payments into one account and then sent that money to my real account? I want to just add an extra layer of security.

Pic unrelated.

Any opinions about (learning) sketching with a chink tablet with an active stylus?

Any recommended devices? I pref Chinese devices as it's difficult to obtain mid or high end devices here.

I'm a student so I don't have much time but I'd like to learn drawing in the little free time I have and portability would help me a lot.

Most of day time I spend in places not suited for writing not to mention drawing. Like metro or university classes.

I'm living in 2rd world where the only space we have are chairs with an a5 pad attached on right side (I'm left handed I so usually put a backpack on knees and my own pad to be able to note at all).

I'm selling a Monoprice display tablet cheap, if you want it senpai. Small scratch on the internal screen from a repair, but works just fine.

Ok, if you guys had candid (anonymous app) there's a possibility that you've seen me in "The (bad) artist's corner". I asked for help and received help, followed along with the tips but then procrastinated on it for months. Candid has recently passed away and I have come to 4chan to seek help. Please help. I hate it so much, I just need constructive criticism and ways to improve it. Before anyone comments it I am not willing to trash it, I've spent too long on it.

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies, however, all forms of stylization is welcome here. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.

Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, having fun is important!

Tell me about colored pencils /ic/. I'd like some that are above Crayola but aren't Prisma "Made in Mexico" Colors, and nothing too pricey. Can it be done? Thoughts?

Just go on Dick Blick and get some student artist pencils, my niqqa. I used to use Prisma scholars in school, but I switched to the premier line a while back. Imo, you only need the 24 or the 48 if you're starting out, which is relatively cheap. Good colour selecton too.

Recently got some Faber Castell polychromos, they're lightyears ahead of Prismacolor.

My dad's friend died, he was an artist. He had no artist children/friends/family so his art supplies ended up with me. I got a huge crate of faber castelles, prismacolors, some european brands I have no idea the name of. Along with some other stuff like pastels, markers, and two drafting tables.
I want to use the colored pencils but I don't know where to start. Firstly, what kind of paper should I be using?
>>
>>2975482
Depends on what your drawing skill is.

You want something smooth that doesn't have a lot of tooth and is mid to heavy stock, (like bristol or illustration paper. I recommend Strathmore Bristol board) because you'll be layering like crazy and pressing down really hard. Since you have some really good coloured pencils, understanding the small things that make them different will help you in the long run. People have different ways of using them and figuring out how /you/ want to use them is key to which ones you use the most.

Some points:
1) Pressure < Layers
Layering is more effective and wastes less pencil. Prisma colours wax bloom like crazy, so laying them on thick is a no go.

2) Technique is more or equally important to the brand you use.

3) Research and experiment. The best way to figure out how to use them is to look at how others use them and then go do that. Take a whole blank page and just colour randomly, try different shit, mess around.

Have fun.
