Light showing through back of ear lobe? You know what I mean, can't seem to find it just by typing. Preferably front view. Much appreciated.

much obliged.

So I'm planning to get back to my art crafts,

I've been good in sketching using charcoal but now would like to have some colors in my arts.

Can you suggest what are the best paints/brands I could use?

Mainly, for painting shoes, paint that suits paper arts also.

Some please?

Hi anon,

For shoes, particularly canvas shoes, I think fabric paints or inks would be suitable. My first thought was to suggest screen printing inks as an alternative to typical acrylics. A quick google search yielded this, I'm sure you could shop around on Amazon, Blick, etc for better prices. Remember you can mix different mediums into acrylic or screenprinting inks for different consistencies and effects. Some inks you can heat set into the fabric to make them more permanent, or add a fabric fixative to skip the heat curing process. Good luck!

I use Marabu Textil fabric paint for shoes, these you iron when you are finished and they set into the fabric.
I do not get why you would want to use the same paint for paper as you would for things like fabrics?
Fabric paints mean someone can wear the shoes and wash them.

Is making shit like this just knowing basic 1-3pt perspective, lots of time and the line tool? Can't find any video/blog post talking about the complete process in making stuff like this. Is it just raw grind?

Eh, it's all very straight-forward but technical. The clue is to pre-plan before to have clear idea about the room, but generally besides few details/assets all is ade of simple primitives.

When I look at the cupboard I see boxes. When I look at the bed I see wireframe of a box. When I look at the table with a book and a cabinet near it I see boxes. When I look at the constructed altar I see 3 cylinders stacked upon each other and circular pattern of boxes. When I look at the railing - yeah, I see box and inside it evenly spaced boxes. When I look at protrusions from a wall I see boxes, when I see furnance in the back I see box...

Seeing that it is FZD Viscom, it was probably prior made in Sketchup or similar simple 3D program, I could even do it in CAD, I could even list to you from a head: Rectangle -> Extrude -> Edge Fillet x2 -> Shell -> Sketch -> Project -> Line -> Extrude -> Edge Fillet x2 -> do it again from another sketch -> Sketch on the wall -> copy -> shell/remove material...

Then it was imported to photoshop after render with single light source was done, grid was applied, boxes drawn, then filled with detail and simple objects constructed.

The knight's armor was drawn 2 times, probably taken from previous "draw through" exercise, copied 2 times. Cannon looks like something from ame Cossacks, but could also be easily constructed with Scott Robertson's principles/via CAD.

Idk, there are some hours spent on this piece, but yeah, it's nothing really fancy, just grind and following workflow, from abstraction to detail.

And yeah, it's 3 point perspective, outline is simple box, grid was 100% constructed for it because FZD work with grids and 3D.
>>
Yes, it is just "basic perspective", but just those two words are misleading to how hard it is to actually imagine and draw stuff like that.

I would do an underlay in sketchup and build from there

Is there a thread for posting designs of characters or environments? I notice that we have an animation thread, but no concept design thread. Most of the threads on /ic/ seem to be focused on drawing and illustration.

I'm trying my hardest to fight procastination and do all these projects in my head, one at the time

So I got this webcomic thing, more like a series of short stories between a few characters, been sketching, soon gonna upload to my pc and add the text on photoshop and do basic cleanup since I am a traditional pleb

And I don't expect it to blow up because its very shitty, but at the same time the thought of someone else stealing my characters or their designs and making money outta them makes me sick

What do we need to know about preserving our intelectual property or something?

You can copyright your artwork, and basically the contents of your website for about 50 bucks online. I am a US citizen so I went to a gov website, uploaded the webpages to their site for review, and in a handful of weeks they approved it and sent me a certificate in the mail. I will say that either I communicated with the wrong parties or the right ones didn't understand "webcomic",but agreed the art and other img based files were copyrightable, which was good enough for me. I really couldn't picture myself tossing every image from it as jpegs, since this entailed hundreds of files and a lifetime of work, and my ISP at the time was cobbled together from my smartphone and its limited monthly data allowance. Others may help you more. I tried asking this at the Order of the Stick website forums, but got BANNED for being "political",believe it or not. So hopefully others are willing to explain such arcana to you.

Semi-interested in drawing porn on the side with a Patreon for a living but also don't wanna to be basically blacklisted in the art and animation industry. COULD an artist lose job opportunities for having a well known porn stash?

I've seen all these professional grade animators who are only known for dirty shit like Zonkpunch and Dieselbrain who have all this talent and make big bank on Patreon but haven't put their foot in the industry. It's most likely choice but is it also cause their known for dick and tiddy and are afraid to try getting hired?

Nobody really cares. Rebecca Sugar posted a lot of cartoon porn on her LiveJournal years back and nobody in the industry bats an eye. Plenty of weirdos and perverts work in animation. As long as you don't attach your actual name to it, it probably won't affect your professional life much if at all.

The artwork is decent sure, but I don't exactly know the purpose of the collage. The drawings don't tell me a story together, exactly. I guess maybe the guy is upset the girl is walking away from him, etc. but I don't actually know if this is for a comic or something, or if its just a few drawings you through together to show us on here.

Maybe if you give us a context.
>>
>>3032399
It's just a collage of shit I find browsing through. For example the guy is from Akira and the girl is from some Tumblr bull shit
