advice on improving mspaint mouse drawings?
Hi /ic/
I started recently to consider working in comics or animated movies but idk where to start.
There's a top tier animation school in my town but you need to have studied at least 2 years in the topic to apply.
So I looked for the art schools with a decent reputation and relevant specialties.
I didn't expected any of them to still accept inscriptions for this year but one of them still does (I have an interview Wednesday).
Should I go there if they accept me or wait next year to have more options?
Also it costs a lot for most of the private schools so idk if it's worth.
The thing is I had terrible grades in high school and didn't do much the previous years either so I highly doubt to get a chance in the public ones anyway.
Maybe I don't need a school and just git gud but is it really possible without the motivation, environment and network it provides?
What are you thoughts /ic/?

Don't think just because you enlist in an expensive school you'll suddenly get motivation out of nowhere.
If you don't have the drive to make it through a school get a real job and make art on the side.
You'll just get jewed out of time AND money.

>it really possible without the motivation, environment and network it provides
Spend the motivation, environment, and network money on eating right and exercise. You'll see the gains increase.

As someone who used to be a unfit piece of shit, I can actually say that going to the gym frequently every week has dramatically made me into a better person. I have more energy, I look better, I don't feel as depressed and I got to meet cool bros and chicks. Going to the gym to keep in shape and relentlessly practicing is much better than wasting your time in college.
Hey /ic/

Where do you go for references for your nude paintings (especially if you want to sell it)?
There's not a lot of good copyright free photos out there.
Tried taking screens of softcore porn but it's hard to find moments where the girl isn't touching her pussy, ass, tits etc. The model's almost always too close to the camera too.
>>3033737
If you were a real g you'd get your girl friends to pose nude for you. I'm swimming in girls who won't take their clothes off. Be better than me
>>3033739
Obviously that would be great but not an option at the moment :(
I asked an artist friend nudes for artistic purposes and she actually did it
How do you draw a good looking vagina? It's easy to draw penises but vaginas are a bit tough to do
Like an appetizing vagina, or a just a friendly neighbourhood vagina?
>>3032703
Um both, I guess
Have doxy tutorials. Also he generally has quite a lot of them on the porn/explicit topics, I remember he even had one about how to draw sperm digitally.
Choose the artwork that will hang in my room /ic/

I think it looks cute in a weird way
I think you have real potential, please work harderived on how light casts on a 3 dimensional objects and I think that will improve the shading a lot. It is indeed weirdly cute. :^)

"You can develop your style easier, if you learn from millage without tutorials"
Discuss
That's true to some extent. Tutorials make things infinitely easier because someone already found the design and broke it down in a way that's understandable. You just need to practice a lot, it's not a one time thing with tutorials like most people think. It's not meant for copying. Also, mileage without tutorials would mean you're always figuring things out on your own. Good luck with that, that's called reinventing the wheel. However, since you're talking about your style, you would have to define what that even means since you're always drawing in your own style. The instant you use tutorials, you're being influenced by others, is that still your style or is it someone else's style?

My friend and I both started Scott Robinsons tutorials(book and videos that have same content), our drawings look the same as Scotts, because the way he teaches how to draw is very mechanical and methodical.
I've been drawing for a year now and feel like I have less ideas now than I had when I started

what is millage?
You know what really ticks me off? How come I can't make money off my art, yet this fucker, gets paid 20$ to make this disgusting shit. People these days don't appreciate real art.
What kind of work are you doing that you aren't even getting 5$? Even low tier anime gets that.

Since I was 3 years old I have been an apprentice of a master in Nepal. I grew up living and breathing art. I remember being forced to sit outside our cottage on the cold mountains and if any thought filled my mind I would be beaten. My master would take my hands and just stare at them for hours saying not one word. Now that you know some of your background I would like to show you something special I have been researching for nearly 7 years. In my latest creation (see in the picture) I have expressed the theme of "Military glass Meridia's trench." It shows the fallen drifting down to the darkest depths, the last breath snuffed out of their lungs. I wanted to share this with you so my master's soul can rest knowing his disciple is spreading his knowledge.

Hey all,
I seldom ever come here. I am here not actually to learn to draw, but to learn to improve my handwriting. I figured this would be the best board for advice on this.
My handwriting has always been a crummy mess and I never mastered cursive in grade school. I actually want to improve my signature because it is quite amateurish (as in a bunch of scribbles).
What do you all recommend? Just drilling the alphabet constantly?
Go to briem dot net and download the book about fixing your hand writing
>>3033867
Huh! Interesting
Also if anyone wants to show off their handwriting feel free to. Many of my artistic friends have very expressive signatures.
i came out to my family that i wanted to build up a career being a 'creative' and have been honing my art skills everyday
but recently i realized i harbor self resentment or something like an inferiority complex because of it.
Do you just deal with being considered a joke or is that just a meme forced by the older generation? I post my art on social media and my irl friends who are working towards STEM/Biz shit have been liking them. I see that as support, far from being the butt of the joke.
And it affects my home life too, I feel like I lost entitlement to food or an opinion. I still have to ask them for money for supplies and food. They're not hurting for cash, and give it to me without question, but I can't get over the feeling of not deserving it. I go out of my way to help out around the house, which I think everyone should do, but sometimes I do it just to hear my parents thank me, to let myself know that I am not hated around here.
If I get a job, will this just magically make everything feel better?
>>3032833
also a big problem is that the shame affects my work output
parents tell me to sleep early, i obey without question. if i stay up i do so quietly and painfully, and prepare breakfast + coffee in the morning before they leave for work.
parents come to me to ask for a favor, i immediately put away any work im doing and just hide it. i hide it and focus on their task at hand
mostly a shut in. no confidence to go outside. bad because i need real life practice and there are figure drawing sessions around here that im missing out on
>being a 'creative'
Doesn't this mean more of designer than Illustrator nowadays?
>If I get a job, will this just magically make everything feel better?
Yes.
>>3032854
what job should i do? i still want my time to git gud, so something part time maybe?
