So yeah... Actually sounds interesting.

But yeah, about that story...

What's that confusing? If you believe the general history bent of Judges (not always a good idea) you have a Caananite chief/king, who was causing problems for the Israelites, who eventually gathered up enough force to beat his troops, and Jael killed him after the battle.

It's significance is primarily in the form of the Kenites aligning with the Israelites, which wasn't always a 100% thing. They weren't enemies, and of course you have guys like Jethro being very important, but their support was hardly a given.
>>
>>1783933
Far from the worst thing a Kenite has done:

>2 Kings 10:18-28

>18 Then Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, Jehu will serve him much. 19 Now therefore, call to me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests. Let no one be missing, for I have a great sacrifice for Baal. Whoever is missing shall not live.” But Jehu acted deceptively, with the intent of destroying the worshipers of Baal. 20 And Jehu said, “Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they proclaimed it. 21 Then Jehu sent throughout all Israel; and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left who did not come. So they came into the temple[a] of Baal, and the temple of Baal was full from one end to the other. 22 And he said to the one in charge of the wardrobe, “Bring out vestments for all the worshipers of Baal.” So he brought out vestments for them. 23 Then Jehu and Jehonadab the son of Rechab went into the temple of Baal, and said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search and see that no servants of the Lord are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.” 24 So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men on the outside, and had said, “If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escapes, whoever lets him escape, it shall be his life for the life of the other.”

In Jeremiah it is mentioned that Kenites don't drink alcohol because their ancestor, Jehonadab, told his family not to, so they were literally sandniggers

The author arrives as a convincing conclusion and then their strawman God dismisses it, for some reason. Not quite sure what they were getting at there. The Bible is a book of many different genres, history being one of them.

Not sure if /his/ or /lit/ related because it's a bit of both, but decided to post here because /lit/ is typically full of idiots.

Does the West have an equivalent to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms era in China?

Either history wise or literature wise?

I think of the War of the Roses or the Hundred Years War but they just don't seem to have the scale or the drama that this era had.

Or if you're looking for larger than life figures, you can't go wrong with the Greek and Persian Wars, all the way down to Alexander

Why the Jewish diaspora hates their host populations so much? I can understand them hating Russians in 1917 and wanting to take revenge at them through Bolshevism, but even in countries where Jews were not mistreated, they always work to undermine and enslave their hosts.

Jews in the German Empire had full civil rights and recognition, many reached the upper echelon of politics and economy, like Walter Rathenau, and yet Jews still conspired with Allied powers to destroy Germany and attempted to establish a communist dictatorship that the German people didn't want.

Jews in Austria-Hungary were a cultural powerhouse: Sigmund Freud, Gustav Mahler, Karl Kraus, they were fully integrated into Viennese high society, and yet they worked against the Habsburg Monarchy and contributed to its dissolution.

Poland had open its borders to Jews during the Middle Ages, and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth era was considered the "Golden Age" of Jewish culture. That only ended when Poland itself disappeared from the map of Europe, and yet when Poland regained its independence, Polish Jews collaborated with the Red Army to let their Russian cousins conquer it and enslave its people to communism.

Now, in the United States, we have no other place in human history where Jews have been so much accepted, have risen so much to the top. And what do we see? Pic related. Do these guys really think that a "multiracial" America would be better to the Jews than a America ethnically composed by the guys who saved their asses during World War II?

Why so much ingratitude? I try not to be Anti-Semitic, but when I see shit like this, I really can't.

Was Sparta really as based as people say they were?

All I ever hear about them is about the battle Thermopole and the

300 spartans and how cool they were, but I feel like some of the

other information, like the compulsory homosex is people

projecting their political agenda onto them.

What's the real story behind Sparta?

They were pretty based.

They biggest flaw however was their over reliance on the helots.
>>

>Was Sparta really as based as people say they were?

No. It's true they had the most "warrior culture" in Greece and were feared and respected, but ultimately they lost about as much as they won. Other Greek cities could go toe to toe with them.

The "deal" with Sparta is that they had a warrior class that was greatly outnumbered by the slave population, which is both what made the dedicated warrior class possible (since others did all the work) and what made it nevessary, to protect against revolts.

How can people still take Christianity seriously when it's been so thoroughly BTFO? 99% of the bible has been reduced from fact to mere metaphor in just a few hundred years. What's more likely the bible is true and we're just now figuring out it isn't supposed to be taken literally or the authors were full of shit like all other unscientific ancient people.

>>Cagots were shunned and hated. While restrictions varied by time and place, they were typically required to live in separate quarters in towns, called cagoteries, which were often on the far outskirts of the villages. Cagots were excluded from all political and social rights. They were not allowed to marry non-Cagots, enter taverns, hold cabarets, use public fountains, sell food or wine, touch food in the market, work with livestock, or enter the mill.[2] They were allowed to enter a church only by a special door, and during the service, a rail separated them from the other worshippers. Either they were altogether forbidden to partake of the sacrament, or the Eucharist was given to them on the end of a wooden spoon, while a holy water stoup was reserved for their exclusive use. They were compelled to wear a distinctive dress, to which, in some places, was attached the foot of a goose or duck (whence they were sometimes called "Canards"). So pestilential was their touch considered that it was a crime for them to walk the common road barefooted or to drink from the same cup as non-Cagots. The Cagots were often restricted to the trades of carpenter, butcher, and rope-maker.[3][4]

>>The Cagots were not an ethnic group, nor a religious group. They spoke the same language as the people in an area and generally kept the same religion as well. Their only distinguishing feature was their descent from families identified as Cagots. Few consistent reasons were given as to why they should be hated; accusations varied from Cagots being cretins, lepers, heretics, cannibals, to simply being intrinsically evil. The Cagots did have a culture of their own, but very little of it was written down or preserved; as a result, almost everything that is known about them relates to their persecution.[5] Their cruel treatment lasted through the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Industrial Revolution, with the prejudice fading only in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Why have the French -- ever since first immigrating into Europe from the steps of Asia -- repeatedly helped the spread of Islam?

Why is it that the great Frankish invasions that partly caused the fall of Rome coincide with the early conquest of Islam? In almost mirrored assaults, both tribes poured into the weakened Roman world. Are we supposed to believe it's just a coincidence?

I would be tempted to believe if it wasn't for the fact that French history is filled with an obsession to bring more Muslims into Europe.

Just a hundred years ago they were already using their best science to devise a way to bring as many Muslims into Europe as fast as possible using the power of the steam engine. Pic related. They were also formal allies with Islam during the Crimean War.

Or he can forget how the French-caused Great Turkish War was essentially an anti-Hapsburg, the Hapsburg who just so happen to be the mortal enemy of the Ottoman caliphate. The latter even financed the French and used to opportunity to try to defeat their other mortal enemy the Poles. Can it really be a coincidence that French just so happen to divide Christendom, the only bastion against the armed spread of Islam?

Or what about the fact Napoleon, the French leader, just so happens to openly praise Islam, while arming the Muslim militias in the Balkans to kill Christian Italians and while also trying to liberate Muslim Holy land from Anglo rule during the revolutionary war?

And now in our current era, why are French obsessed with bringing as many Muslim so-called refugee into Europe by the million?

It just seems to me that at every noticeable moment of French history, the main benefactor of whatever they are doing is the faith of Islam...
