Are the French not the most civilized and noble of Europeans?
Compared to others who have diluted their blood (Greeks), or have proven their ineptitude (Germans), the French have remained relatively solid throughout the years. They are basically one of the only European people who can look back at their history and be proud of themselves.

French are pretty diluted considering it's a Celto-Roman-Germanic bukkake.
Oh and blacks, don't forget.
this thread will end well

What?
What country are you from? Describe the history of your countre in a sentence.
Country that has a stupendous number of people and punches way below in weight in all matters that matter in today's world.

When people are facing death they always cry unto God ?
Even atheists.
Desperation. In times of trouble you look to your leaders. In times of catastrophe, you look to someone even stronger.

No, not really.
You are welcome.

Wrote the atheist. I'm sure if you're on the verge of dying, let's say if you were to become am hostage you'll beg God to save you : " Please God if you exist, save me and I'll do good deeds".

Obligatory
When the Picts send their people, they're not sending their best. They're bringing thieves, they're sending their barbarians, rapists, pillagers. And some, I assume, are good people. I will build a great wall -and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me- I will build a great wall on our northern border, and I will make Caledonia pay for it

was it a coup d´etat?

First off how can such a morbid soul leave so soon with an ass like that posing at his side. I swear its the main ingredient in the recipe to resurrect the dead.
>>1798671
this photo is fake right? cuz who THE FUCK would have been able to take a picture like this at that time at that angle?
and yeah it was probably a coup by the bushes

Probably had a small dick and couldn't hit it doggy.
Might as well be a sacrilege when you have the keys and title to an ass like that.
>you mean they couldn't even invent the wheel? ha! what a bunch of idiots
When will this meme die?
>>1796031
When people figure out that simplicity does not equate to practicality in every circumstance; never.
>>1796034
>the wheel wasn't practical for some people
Bullshit. It makes moving things over land much easier in almost every scenario.
Nobody in the West invented the wheel, they just meme'd it from the East.
Why were the Nazi's such embarrassing failures?

The USSR were true National Socialists. Fascism didn't work in Germany because Germans are a bunch of pussy fagbois.

Because you're a stupid American commieboo who has never had to actually live under socialism.

How did the American founding fathers justify the idea of all men being equal but supporting racially based slavery?

blacks aren't people
The Constitution literally says that blacks are only 3/5 human
>>1794596
But that contradicts the idea of all men being equal
ITT: Just Russian Things
>In 1904, the Russian fleet almost accidentally invaded Yorkshire. It entered the North Sea and got lost in the fog on the Dogger Bank. It opened fire on a trawler, 'beheading two fishermen'. In due course, the Tsar paid compensation of £65,000 'to the bereaved of Hull' - but what's more astonishing is that the fleet believed it was steaming towards Japan.
>Peter the Great was a keen amateur doctor and dentist. He once saw a tooth being pulled out of a person's mouth and became obsessed with carrying out random dental checks on his subjects. His 250 courtiers were unwilling victims, having any suspect tooth whipped out at a moments notice. Sections of gum would often accompany the extracted chomper as the tsar did not know his own strength or the minimum force required to undergo such a process. He carried a small bag of the pulled teeth around with him wherever he went as proof of his 'ability'.
>Peter the Great's willingness to act as an untrained dentist was proved when a courtier came to him and asked him for his help. The courtier said that his wife had a terrible ongoing toothache, but that she was afraid of dentists.
>He asked the tsar to trick the woman into getting close enough to the wannabe dentist so that she could have her tooth removed. Peter the Great complied, valiantly fighting against the screaming and panicked woman, eventually getting the offensive tooth. Later it was learnt that there had been nothing wrong with the tooth at all; the courtier had been fighting with his wife and wanted to teach her a lesson. The tsar was pleased with his efforts nonetheless.
>As well as being an incompetent dentist, the tsar was a budding anatomist. After eating a huge meal while visiting Holland he watched the dissection of a human cadaver. Intrigued, he was outraged when his two attendants didn't share his love of all things medical, and forced them to take a bite of the dead person's flesh.

Come on they couldn't have been that bad

After going through several seminars on uni during my first year - yes. The most overrated topic there is I believe.

They were just raiders, I dont really understand why they are expected to be impressive in the first place.
Why did it take so long for people to finally figure out how to draw realistically? Did ancient people just see each other as flat featureless cartoons?
Drawing realistically is hard yo. Pick up one of those books that teach you to do it step by step and take a look how realistic your picture will be. Unless you're talented it will still look like shit after your first 50 attempts.
>>1797733
Why can't they just draw what they see?
It did not take people long at all to figure out how to draw realistically. The reason they didn't draw realistically at first was because they didn't want to. I don't know why people always treat realism like it's some necessary milestone to artistic integrity, because it isn't. The Egyptians didn't make realistic looking hieroglyphs because that's not what their art was trying to convey. Picasso didn't pioneer cubism because he lacked the ability to draw realistically, he drew that way because he wanted to. Artistic realism is the result of the philosophies of the artists and the worlds they lived in, changing. Artists in these eras felt that realism was the prime thing to be captured, so they developed and honed techniques in order to do just that.
>ᛏᚠᚹ Runes didn't survive as a modern script for Germanic languages
Feels bad man.
Runes were used in the same way Latin is used in the Catholic Church, as a language for religious matters. They weren't use as a daily script
>>1796941
Runes were used for important things, simple as that
Had they not been replaced by Latin script via the church by the time literacy was widespread, we'd see it today.
Considering how intelligent the Chinese and Japanese are and their huge leaps in medicine, as well as their rich culture, why did they never reach the level of technological advancement and civilization as Western Europe? Was it the slow unification of Japan or constantly evolving dynasties of China?
I'm very new to Asian history and know only the basics and this has always puzzled me.

That isn't what I'm asking.
Also if you think France, Germany and Sweden still aren't incredibly successful, you're a fucking retard.
