Jews saw that the History Channel gave Hitler and the NSDAP attention in the 90s so they decided to make a show about some guy running a pawn shop and how aliens created ancient civilizations.
>>1790268
Same thing that happened to Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and a bunch of other educational tv channels: they wanted that sweet, sweet reality tv money.
>There are hundreds of smug little shits out htere who believe they are very smart because they saw this image and no longer believe in god.
I don't even understand this?
1. There are many stars in large groups at that are organized by scientists
2. Jesus is very large
3. You shouldn't masterbate
conclusion: there is no god
I'm not sure i can follow the 'logic and reason' they say they used to make this.
What did they mean by this?
>>1790249
It's a joke not a theological argument.
Chill you fucking autist.
>>1790249
it doesnt disprove god
it just makes fun of the notion that, of all the things in the universe and how small humanity is in the grand scheme of things, christians are worried about people doing "small sins"

Is religion unique to humans?
Are there any animals that portray any traditions or practices that cannot be trivialized to a mechanical purpose?
is faggotry unique to OP?
>>1790223
Elephants and chimpanzees have some forms of proto religion, I think. I forget what the evidence was for chimpanzees, but elephants have funeral rituals.
>>1790240
Don't orcas have some form of culture?

>"To be attached, to say 'I am a Buddhist', gets us not to see others and only ourselves, and we become boxed into a certain way of thinking."
Certainly, when Christians and Atheists hold on too tightly to their identity, they cannot see the other side objectively.
>"There seems to be conflict of religion, but really it is about the economy."
Understanding that throughout history, religious wars are about economic and terrestrial reasons, usually never about God.
>"We must respect the lives of humans beings"
We all fall asleep, we all do our best to "figure it out", so we can't just deny someone as less than a human being immediately, because they are Atheist, Muslim, Christian, etc. and instead we need to cultivate understanding of the beliefs of others
"Different people have different faith and we must respect that."

>>1791086
Wait, was that seriously the flag of France at some point?
>you will never be a neolithic farmer
>you will always be oppressed and marginalized in modern society
>you are isolated from nature and fellow man
>you toil endlessly and never see the end product of your work
>you are only a replaceable cog in a giant machine
>The modern world is slowly crushing your spirit
you could live like that, though. people still do. there are hippie communes that function almost indistinctly from such societies.
alternatively, you could become a machine operator of the modern world and realize why the machine exists in the first place. it wasn't built for mere cogs such as yourself, worm.

Joke's on you, fag. I never had a spirit to crush. I was born into the machine and it is my world.
Plants and open spaces are horrifyingly alien.
Is bluegrass American folk music?
Sure, why not
>>1789879
Yes, it has strong connections to the 'old-time' music of Appalachia which in turn derives from the folk music of immigrants from Britain.
>>1789879
No, it's the popular commercialization of Appalachian folk, commonly called Old Time country music
Really makes ya think.

>prehistory doesn't belong on /his/
guess we can't discuss any groups of humans that didn't leave a written record or were written about by others
About what?
why didn't the anglos breed with the natives like the spanish and portos did? i mean think about it mexico and central/south america are continents of euro/native muts, but american colonists had a completely different outlook. what was the attitude behind this and would today be different if the anglos had just bred with the natives instead of being all semi-genocidal about it?
>>1789783
But they did. There were just too few of them.
puritanism and sexual repression
Mesoamerican agriculture was far more productive than agriculture further north, higher native populations meant more racemixing.
Does anyone have a map of what Germany was supposed to look like, say circa 1965 had they won WWII? Such as what European and Soviet territories were supposed to become part of the German Reich?
What would have been considered part of "GrossDeutschland" and what would have been set up as puppet states?
>pic not really related, but it's a start
We need a alt-history /ahis/ general or something, this shit is getting is ridiculous
>what if X did Y?
>what if A actually B, and C?

Sorry, should I post this on another board?
What is your opinion on David Irving?
He seems to have been an actual respected historian prior to going off the deep end and going full stormfront in the 1960s.
And now he's completely vilified by everybody.
I'm not a Holocaust denier by any means, but it is rather silly that nobody can express their opinion on it without being taken to court and slandered and blacklisted. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Historian X says he believes the Holocaust is exaggerated. Subsequently, he's ridiculed and blacklisted by all major historical publishers. So when he goes to get a book on the topic published (hard enough to do since it's very hard to ask any kind of probing questions about the Holocaust in the areas it took place), the publisher declines and he has to go to a less-than-reputable publisher. And so when the book hits the market, all the historians scoff at it and point out that no reasonable publisher would take it, despite the fact that they were the ones that ensured that.
Again, not a Holocaust denier. But you'd be stupid if you thought that the Holocaust wasn't overplayed to hell for propaganda purposes following the war. There's a reason we don't hear some of the more ridiculous stories that were all the rave right after the war, like the lampshades made of skin or the hilariously infamous Holocaust-rollercoaster that led into an oven.
>What is your opinion on David Irving?
I think David Irving should stop shilling himself on /his/
>>1789673
