The Republic's first order of business: should /rome/ cover both the western and eastern (byzantine) Roman Empire, or should we allow Byzantine to be is own general?
>board exists for literally less than an hour
>it already has generals
Pure cancer. Stop this.
>>663
Just had to make a fucking general.
>>663
Byzantine is a creation of the Germans to pretend like their Holy "Roman" Empire was one and undermine the real Romans. At no point in their history have the Western Romans called themselves Byzantines. The fact that modern Greek called hemselves Ellenes again instead of Romans is also a relatively recent thing. Where Ellene(Greek) had a pagan connotation but Roman had a Christian one.
So who was the best pope in history, and why?
Papaj nasz.

I like him, but he was basically a tyrant with good intentions.

Ignoring the court saved a lot of lives
Based injun remover

All nigger infested shitholes.
Daily reminder that using flags based on IP is a great mistake. Just add the historical flags we made on /qa/ and make them selectable, there will be less shitposting.
This is actually a good idea.

This is the OFFICIAL new board rules discussion.
In order to better let An Hiro know what we want from this board, let's discuss and see if we can come to a consensus on what we want.
Thread rules: No /pol/ level autism, go meme elsewhere, srs discussion only (I mean it my dad works for An Hiro)
So, what do you guys think /his/ should be?
This board is literally /int/ and /pol/ put together
good fucking job hiro
It's Hiroshimoot.
Limit to 3 Holocaust threads. One standard, one revisionist, and one for debate between the two camps.
Limit to one Hitler thread.
Max of 10 WWII threads, not including the Hitler and Holocaust threads.
No trying to make up source rules. Too much strictness about what sources are valid will stifle discussion.
>day one people are bitching about /pol/
OY VEY
Has Africa always struggled with poverty, throughout history? If yes, why? It's the opposite of what I would expect from a continent that is so rich in natural resources.
>>24855
Great Zimbabwe
The Dogon culture
pretty much everything on the Nile
Carthage
all the shit you've never bothered to learn about
Whereas of course the Nordic races have revelled in untold riches from day one
see >>24832 and sick a dick, /pol/tard
>>24899
I would believe you, but I'm going to need written sources here. Oral history is great, but only when it is backed up by written sources. North Africa is different, of course, and isolated from Africa-proper.
>>24690
corruption, tribal mentality, lack of educaion, low morals, plus a whole tonne of geographical shit - like crops not growing, or the seeds not actually being there (i.e. it's hard to feed a stable population when weat wont grow in a desert
I'd say it's a mix of africans being (on average) genetically/biologically shit (including intelligence) and the actual area not having ports, etc
I mean yeah there are resorces but it's no good when you live in some desert 234567590432km away
plus there isn't much water in a lot of it
also a lot of tribal religion, and colonialism didn't really do that much good
Thread for creating /his/-tan (with a possible companion) to represent the board to all of 4chan.
Ignore all shitposts and feel free to contribute.
Old statue man for /hum/ because Greek philosophers and Egyptian female for /his/ because Egyptian history is a commonly explored subject.
