Let's imagine an alternate world. Don't mind the logistics of it, just humour me for a second.
In this world all humans:
- Are completely rational
- Will always prioritize the well being of the human race over their own.
- All work under the same framework so all humans will reach the same conclusion if given the same information.
With all these conditions in place, could you construct a scenario in which a war between two groups of these humans is inevitable or possible?
You can make up or change anything you want as long as those rules aren't broken.

>All work under the same framework so all humans will reach the same conclusion if given the same information.
what
And yes, feed them false or flawed information.

Blacks are exterminated because they offer no logical benefits whatsoever.

How did the Swiss manage to maintain a democratic confederation in the age of absolute kings and get away with it? How was this possible with a clusterfuck of mini nations that look like pic related?
>lick French boots long enough and have small strategic value for anyone to bother

You have to understand that Switzerland was not really democratic, it was more of a confederation of mini states with local oligarchs, at least in the early stage, where peasants had more freedoms and rights than the average european pleb
The montainous terrain, and the fact they held the passes between north and south of the Alps ever since the conception of the confederation, made for very easy defense
The defense of Switzerland was however also brought by the fact that basically every man was part of the army. You try and be tyrannical in a state where you depend on your armed serfs to protect your own land

Why is the improtance of the portugueses empire só underated
The portugueses had massive acomplishments, they basicly created colonialism and modern sea trading networks and their Explorers discover the world by sea and yet most history books overshadow these facts with spain

trade and diplomacy isn't as "epic" as conquest
>After the conquest of Antioch in 541, Khosrau I built a new city near Ctesiphon for the inhabitants he captured. He called this new city Weh Antiok Khusrau, or literally, "better than Antioch Khosrau built this."[11] Local inhabitants of the area called the new city Rumagan, meaning "town of the Romans" and Arabs called the city al-Rumiyya. Along with Weh Antiok, Khosrau built a number of fortified cities.[12] Khosrau I deported 292,000 citizens, slaves, and conquered people to the new city of Ctesiphon in 542.[13]
pretty fucking hilarious tbqh
According to folklore, when Napoleon took over the Netherlands, he made people claim last name so he could more efficiently set up a population and tax recording system. A bunch of Dutch people, thinking last names were a ridiculous idea and wanting to fuck with Napoleon, decided to give themselves nonsensical and joke names. Those names stuck, and now tons of Dutch people are stuck with weird names because their ancestors decided to prank tax collectors.

I remember something like about a Roman soldier who mooned a crowd of Jews during and that helped cause the Roman-Jewish wars.
The Hadith tells us that the end of the world will come when the armies meet up at Dabiq
>Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) assaying: The Last Hour would not come until the Romans would land in DABIQ. An army consisting of the best soldiers of the people of the earth at that time will come from Medina to fight them....
>and they would be conquerors of Constantinople.
Turks are 3 miles from Dabiq right now. Muslim apocalypse?

What made Tito's cult of personality so succesful?
>>1781350
He didn't need a cult of personality, his accomplishments and charisma were enough. The love of his people was genuine, even his funeral was the largest in modern history, where everyone but the American president came to attend it.

Is it delusional to think humanity can overcome tribalism?
>>1781071
Fun fact: it already did.
There are very few true nations in the planet. Most states """"""""""""""Nation""""""""""""""" States, and none of the big powers are actually Nations.
>>1781076
>none of the big powers are actually Nations
can you elaborate
>>1781071
The only way to do this is to make everyone fuck eachother so that the only race left is the human race.
What was gender like for the non-european world before western colonialization?
I just got off the phone with my girlfriend who went to a university presentation where they talked about gender being more fluid in pre-colonial times.
To me it seemed like another example of what an anon here once said as "cultural narcissism", which means to forget that cultures have existed independantly for thousands of years before contact.
So is there any truth to this?
Pic non related, couldnt think of anything relative to topic

South Asia had three genders: male, female, and a middle (trans)gender.
Even today, Pakistan recognizes three genders; they even have three genders listed on their drivers licenses and passports.
Even though there is a ton of discrimination against homosexuals and homosexuality in modern day Pakistan, the middle gender/transgender population is left alone by the conservatives, Islamists, leftists, everyone really.

the west tried to convert femboys into men because they are biologically the same except for their behavior and in theory that would increase the proportion of the population suitable for hard labor, expeditions and war, but in reality it just became quid pro quo
Why does if feel like more men have wanted to be women than women wanting to be men?
There's seems to be a history of men wanting to be women but not the other way around. Why is that so? Or am I wrong about this assumption?

Only counting the West and the Near East because China and India might as well have their own list(s).

You can add Seleucia-Ctesiphon, for almost 200 years it was more populated and even wealthier then Constantinople when both the Byzantine and Sassanid Empires were at their height. Also Baghdad and Babylon.

I have no idea which Near East cities were important at which times.
