What's that confusing? If you believe the general history bent of Judges (not always a good idea) you have a Caananite chief/king, who was causing problems for the Israelites, who eventually gathered up enough force to beat his troops, and Jael killed him after the battle.


It's significance is primarily in the form of the Kenites aligning with the Israelites, which wasn't always a 100% thing. They weren't enemies, and of course you have guys like Jethro being very important, but their support was hardly a given.

In Jeremiah it is mentioned that Kenites don't drink alcohol because their ancestor, Jehonadab, told his family not to, so they were literally sandniggers

The author arrives as a convincing conclusion and then their strawman God dismisses it, for some reason. Not quite sure what they were getting at there. The Bible is a book of many different genres, history being one of them.

To be fair, very little of ancient history is equivalent to history in a modern sense. I mean, Plutarch is far more interested in showing how the various personality traits of people affect policy rather than a detailed modern analysis; and you get lots and lots of superstition, jingoistic propaganda, and just bizarre folk tales wrapped up into just about anything for thousands of years.

Because Jesus fulfilled almost none of the messianic prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament, and the very notion of the Messiah being God as well is heresy of the highest order.


Plus, there's the little problem that you're supposed to kill anyone who tells you not to keep following the Mosiatic Law, even if they "bring signs and wonders", which doesn't exactly help the Christian position.

The very first one listed isn't even a Messianic prophecy. It's part of the curse to the serpent (which, by the way isn't Satan in Jewish understanding) about enmity between humankind and snakekind. You have citations to Psalms, which isn't even prophetic.
