4.7 inch fags stay out. This thread is for discussion of the Plus model of the iPhone 7, which has a 1080p IPS display, 3GB of RAM and a telephoto lens.

This thread is for shit like:

OP Here. I have the 128GB Jet Black model of the 7 Plus. I'm using it with a Speck Presidio Clear Case and a Zagg Glass+ Screen protector. The phone is gorgeous, fast, and I've had literally zero problems with it since I've gotten it.

I updated to the iOS 10.1 public beta and the DOF effect where it mimics a DSLR has a few small imperfections, but it's amazing to be able to take pictures like that at all with a smartphone. Whenever I show other people the pictures it can take they always ask "Is there a way for my phone to do that?"

The water resistance is also amazing for peace of mind. My dipshit brother called me yesterday saying he'd dropped his phone in the toilet and was out $500. Pixelfags BTFO

Lmao my $150 chinkphone is 1080p too and has 3GB ram.

Also slays the iPhone in battery life and doesn't lag at all for web browsing, shitposting, light gaming, calls and texts.

>inb4 poorfag
No, I was tired of phones with horrible battery life when in the end with my use case the performance would have been the same.

But if it works for you then that's cool man. If you're on a budget chinkphones are the way to go. When'd you buy it?

as someone who doesn't use windows at all, I have no problem with it
>>

Nope. It's been working great for me, even though all I use it for is web browsing and video games.

Also have a HTPC running Solus which hasn't had any issues and a laptop running Fedora with mate, only issue with that was the stupid ass shit broadcom drivers

My ISP supports this. I enabled it, and configured my connection to use only IPv6, and could access a few major sites, mostly google domains. But 4chan wasn't accessible, because it doesn't support IPv6.

So is there any point in enabling IPv6 if you have to use IPv4 regardless? And how do the two coincide - is one preferred over another to resolve domains?

i have noticed routes to destinations using ipv6 are typically faster than ipv4
>>
>>57155416
>is there any point in enabling IPv6 if you have to use IPv4 regardless?
Not really. Any site that supports IPv6 almost always also supports IPv4. However, there's also no reason *not* to enable it, and it's what everything is going to move to in the future, so you might as well start now.
>is one preferred over another to resolve domains?
Generally things will use IPv6 if it's available

We're currently in the transition from IPv4 to IPv6. Over the next several years as IPv6 adoption goes up, we'll probably start seeing some IPv6-only sites, but for now everything still supports IPv4 for compatibility

I thought that was dependent on the mobo manufacturer. They were required to put out bios updates to disable the method.

Which do you think is the best approach to operating systems, /g/? Microsoft's approach is obviously the most ambitious and (in my opinion) the way of the future as mobile computing becomes more powerful, even though it isn't all there yet.

>>
I'd call Microsoft's approach "adaptable" rather than universal. The idea behind UWP is that you have an application that can take on additional functionality depending on the capabilities of the platform it's currently running on. The problem with UWP is that a lot of developers will just shit out an application that runs the same everywhere because it's easy. This leads to the impression that UWP is a platform for "mobile" applications and useless for anything else.
>>
>>57155253
>highly modular mobile platform
>universal computing platform
Google's mobile platform is not that much different from Microsoft's universal computing platform except for the fact that vendors of former sometimes lock their bootloaders.
>>
>>57155318
Good comment, thanks for the clarification. I think it's a shame that folks aren't being more forward looking with something like UWP, but I imagine that in five years or so UWP or a similar product will be what's seen as the new norm going forward. It just makes too much sense to not happen eventually I feel.

hey /g/

If you use UEFI you probably have to set the boot order to a new "ubuntu" entry before windows.
