I want to write an UI.
Should I do it in C or C++ or some other language?
38 posts and 9 images submitted.
>>
nigga, nobody writes native UIs anymore. Just use HTML and target all platforms in one fell swoop.
>>
>>57149954
use C++ and QtCreator. believe me, it's so stupidly easy...
>>
C. It's a UI, so it has to be fast and responsive.

Also it shouldn't use any more resources than the equivalent from the past.

Why would anyone buy a pi instead of a laptop for a home server?

>built in display that can be turned off
>built in UPS
>SATA
>Significantly better performance
>built in wireless
>cpu can be throttled down if power consumption is an issue

You can literally buy old junkers as cheap as a pi that'll destroy the ARM SoC.

Want to use a laptop as a server ? just do it, no need to get online aproval for that.
>>
>>57149723
Just curious why others use a pi instead when this is clearly the better option
>>
Power consumption. Size.

Why is better performance necessarily needed? It's dishing out data, not crunching numbers.
