Everything important exists in at least two different places, yes. But my giant pile of media doesn't. you reminded me I should probably make that read-only when accessed over the network from windows machines.
what is some easy to use backup solution ?

Hello /g/ I'm working in a quiet office and I hate the cheap keyboard.
What is the BEST keyboard for a quiet to moderate office. No key switch preference.
>>57152847
well having to be quiet limits your options. Prolly want something with Cherry Browns. But a lot of boards can be had with those.
can't really narrow it down since you aren't more specific. You want a full board with a numpad? tenkeyless? something smaller? Any special features? Budget?
I have a Ducky Zero and I'm happy with it, for what it's worth.
>>57152912
I want the full thing. No Ten Keyless but no special features. Just Keys and no lights
>>57152953
"Full-size board with browns" still leaves you at least a dozen choices. idk if /mkg/ is still around but you should ask in there if it is

Are RFID blocking wallets a meme or do they actually work?
your rfid aint gonna do shit when i snatch that shit from your pocket nigga
>>57152746
This.
>>57152668
they work in the sense that they block RFID signals, and stopo people from reading any RFID devices kept in your wallet
They don't work in that that's not a threat most people need to defend against
I'm going to be renting my first linux server that I plan on using for personal projects.
I will be working with a LAMP stack on Cent OS, and am mainly interested in learning how to properly install/configure/secure it.
What is a decent tutorial for this purpose?
Marco is a cuck
Also, use a search engine/read the wiki, you fucking retard
>>57152503
>Centos
Just use ubuntu server, works much better and better repository. I'd only recommend if you only want to run a few things you know how to configure with little bullshit. Yum is great and all but it's a piece of shit. If you must use centos, then beware. If you don't like ubuntu then fedora is a better alternative with dnf. Of course you could just say fuck it and go that route, check out the ars technica guide they have and have fun.

it's not a bad distro it's just like not interesting at all outside of the OBS platform

How so?
I always saw distros as tools, and the main defining thing to be the package management. I think yast is pretty neat. Better than dnf which is slow as balls
What are you waiting on /g/?
this is taking too long, too bad it didn't have 2 day prime shipping, I just hope it ends up well when it gets here.

Why does foobar do this? It's not duplicate tracks, and when I right click one of the two tracks, it can't open the containing folder because it's greyed out, while the other song is the actual song that I put in the folder.
Usually it's because you still have the album in a .zip file somewhere

I was thinking about ordering a couple HGST Deskstars but a common complaint was about how loud they are. Do any of you notice the drives make loud noise and run extremely hot? I really don't want to order a seagate and have it fail in 2 months
>>57152218
About 2/3 of my hdds are HGST and I've never had any of those problems.
I've had a few that got hot but not much more than a WD or Toshiba drive.
As for noise? Nothing, but I keep my tower pretty far away, so if there is any noise I can't really notice it.
Oh, mine aren't the deskstar line but the ultrastar, but I'm not sure if that's a huge factor.
>>57152218
ultrastar owner checking in. Quiet for a hdd I guess. No regrats. I also have an old Seagate drive from 05 that still works but chirps at me, its loud af.
>>57152218
