Yes, what you missed is the fact that these are values that are good as a first shot, not definitive answers. You should adjust if you don't see any progress over the course of 2-3 weeks.

Also, you will lose fat yes, but the muscles you will build are less than you would if you were at a calorie surplus. you will only build muscle while losing fat because you're obviously a novice. Later in your training, you won't be able to put on muscle while at a calorie deficit. But I don't think this is your concern right now.
So yeah, go do that but keep in mind that you also have to adjust based on your own observations (over the course of at least 2-3 weeks between each adjustment)

What was your physical education (PE) like at high school?

In my school, in one of the richest counties I'll add, they became a bit too accepting of fat people in that it affected everyone else's workout. People were even exempt from doing certain exercises to save them from embarrassment and they still passed with an A like everyone else. I was never exempt because I wasn't blubber made flesh.

It keeps changing for me. When i first starting lifting i thought a 300 pound squat was really impressive.
I think if you can bench 315 squat 450 and deadlift 500 you are moving some pretty decent weight.

Currently i have cut out all bread/sugar out of my diet, i am decreasing my meals and adding more cooked eggs and salad to them. I vary my workout between running for 3 kilometers in the woods with my dog and going to the gym and doing 5x5 stronglifts with the squats, deadlifts, benchpress, overhead and trying to figure out how to do decent barbell rows. I now work out at least 5 days a week with rest days varying depending on what i need to do that day. Is there anything else i should add or will that do for now?
