Hey /fit/ I'm in a pretty fucked up situation. I'm 24 and this is the first time I fell in love. We were seeing each other for some time, then I got really sick, stopped working out, couldn't eat, vomited a lot and lost 20+ lbs. This was more than half a year ago. She decided we should just be friends. Now, I'm finally over the sickness, but I'm not over her at all, even banged other chicks but it doesn't help. I love her and think about her every day. Dropping all calf exercises from my routine after 4 years lifting.
Always felt like training them has never done anything.....I was successful with dropping shrugs 1.5 years ago and thus far seen continuous development of traps from deadlift/press.

I actually find calves to be important for overall balance. But as I said, I feel like lifting has done nothing for me.
I always do 30minutes of cardio everyday for health purposes ( after lifting ) and even with that, my calves don't seem to have grown.
But then again I might have muscle dismorphia. I honestly don't remember the size of my calves pre-lifting. All I know is that I've progressively overloaded them like every other muscle, tried all different rep ranges, training them everyday etc. Nothing seems to change their appearance.
What bugs me is that when I make PR's on other lifts, the muscles associated with them seem to mature/develop/grow. For example if I gained 10kg on my squat, I notice a difference on my quads,hamstrings, glutes......but with calf-exercise and making PRs on them ??

Okay, folks. I'm a fat fuck. I'm working on the whole CICO thing, trying to eat about 1500 calories a day at 6' and 210 pounds and walking 3-4 miles. Ideally I'd like to cut that down to around 1200, but I'm fucking hungry as shit all the time anyway.
Now, the obvious choice here is to change my diet so that it's mostly protein. Great! I love meat and beans. But the shit's fucking expensive, and I'm a complete poorfag.
I already eat a lot of chicken and beans. My farts can wilt flowers. What else is cheap as hell and will fill me up all day?

I can squat 500 raw high bar. I havemt maxed at low bar but its probably around 550. Put some knee wraps on me and a low bar squat and im probably at 600. Though im not really interested in wraps.

Its slightly less taxing on the knees and, in tradeoff, slightly more taxing on either the hips or lower back depending on how you set up.
Unless you're competing in either PL or OL, that's about all the difference it makes.
