I've looked around the different options in my area for gyms and I was wondering your input on what I should look for in deciding on a gym.

Yes, but I weigh myself before going to any doctor, and TELL them what I weigh, and refuse to get on the scale. They can't force you to. You explain to them that you weigh yourself nude and that your scale is accurate. They have to accept it.

I was fat for the most part of my life. When I was 18 I hit my biggest at roughly 340 lbs. Over the course of 18 months, I changed my lifestyle. Got a physical job and wasn't eating as much. I went down to 200 lbs. However I moved, binge ate, still had the same issues I had before and have put most of it back on in 18 months. I was 324 lbs a month ago but have gone down to 299 through diet and exercise.
However I am shit scared now that I will have loose skin. At 200 lbs, I still had some chubbiness on me but was happy where I was. Clothes looked flat etc. No noticeable loose skin. However I heard that putting the weight back on very quick and then losing it again can really cause loose skin. Does anyone know or have any experience with this at all? I am 6'1 by the way. Should I be scared? My goal is to be back down to 200 by next August, but preferably before that.

That's the problem with doing only pushups. Adding those 'resistance bands' just makes it even more vague.
Do your 'band push ups' all you like. But also do bench press, which you can easily and accurately track the progress of by merely tracking the amount of weight you're pressing. Otherwise you're just wasting your time, playing around, and fooling yourself that you're getting stronger, when you have no basis to claim that.
