Hi f 5'2 143 lbs I really want to lose this fat and gain muscle but I'm just too lazy all the time and I find it extremely difficult to get up and do it. I spend a lot of my time on my computer playing video games.

I have come to the conclusion that being more upright in the pull up puts you in a position where its harder to pull which I think is because there is less back involvement which puts more stress on the biceps.
So how would one do a pull up to use their back the most?

So knowing this wouldn't staying upright and going to a deadhang each time put more stress on the biceps? From my experience at least whenever I do pull ups while keeping my spine vertical I feel like the limiting muscles are my biceps not my back. Also the best way to do this would be to stay in an L-sit position while doing your pull ups because it will force you to keep your body vertical.

I had the exactly same problem last year and I'll repeat the advice they gave me that really worked. Just keep doing the pull ups and the biceps will catch up.
I know you are asking how to use most of the back but anyway if you have a problem with your biceps keep doing L-pulls and one day the biceps will stop lagging. Today I can do the 5x5 L-pulls.
