So. I'm well aware you guys are not nutritionists. But I've been thinking... Is burning or slightly charring foods a good short term way to reduce the food's calories? For example, I love lamb/bison. But it's very fatty and high in calories. So does burning the meat a bit (not completely burnt to a crisp) help reduce some of the calories? Usually the outside burns quickest, and I'm assuming that's where a lot of the fat is? So would burning off the fat and getting it crisp, or ' super well done" be less calories than cooking it medium?

no, because the mass of the food is still there. when you cook something you're just altering the state/conformation of the molecules in it, not removing them.

think about it. calories are energy (or rather, the energy that is digestible to us). the energy is contained in the mass of the food. how are you gonna remove energy from the food without removing any mass?

foods with higher fat content like meat might melt some off when you cook them, but it's largely negligible. if you don't like the fat you might as well just cut it off instead of overcooking it. it's more efficient and you won't completely ruin what would have otherwise been a decent meal.

How many of you guys went from FAT 2 FIT (sub 15% fb) and stayed there? What did you do that helped you? I'm tired of losing fat and gaining it back. I've always had muscle but I can never truly appreciate it because I'm always around 20% body fat. If I try to diet and eat healthy I can always do well as long as my routine isn't fucked up by work or getting sick because it's really easy to get out of those habits you've built up for yourself and stay out. There has to be something I'm missing. I know how to lose the fat but not keep it off permanently.

Please help.

Diets are bullshit, getting fit is a lifestyle change. You don't just cut calories for a little while then go back to eating too much. You change the way you eat. Maybe you eat needless snacks now, cut that out, maybe you're drinking completely unnecessary calories, learn to love water, maybe your meals are just unnecessarily big, get used to smaller portions.

It takes some time to change your habits, but once you've changed them you'll wonder why the hell you had those bad habits in the first place.

I only drink water, tea, and coffee. I'm not much of a sugar person but it's the fast food that gets me. When I have the option to eat it I always go for the fast food first because it doesn't take much effort to get it and it's readily available on every street so If I'm at work and didn't have time to cook for myself I usually end up eating fast food and a meal is easily 1000 cals.

My roommate's cat jumped off the second floor balcony onto my shoulder and slid down my back with its claws. It drew blood and ruined my thin shirt.

I filled the bathtub with water, put the cat in the water, then out an upside down laundry basket on top of the cat making a cage. I left only 2 inches of air at the top of the basket and put some college books on top of it so it couldn't get out. I left it there for 3 hours.

The cat hasn't fucked with me since.

Am I mentally ill?

I have protein isolate 90%+
I have micronized creatine
I have daily A-Z vitamin pill
I have magnesium direkt powder instant
I have Omega-3 pills

In what order would you take them if your work out starts at 9 in the morning.

Also take in consideration breakfast.
