I understand a beginner should start with a ~5x5 strength program for foundation. At what point should a natural switch to higher reps if their goal is hypertrophy? Should I wait until I hit 225 bench etc. with a strength program? Thanks for any advice.

Ok guys I got a serious question, I was never into fitness all my life just tried not to get too fat, but when i reached 215 lbs and got my blood pressure tested and it was in the high end of pre hypertension low end of type 1 hypertension i decided I needed a change.
I cut meat and cheese almost entirely out of my diet except fish or poultry once a week. I cut my calorie intake in half and mostly only eat raw foods. Some veggie patties and bread.
I run over 2 miles 3 times a week and on the off days I do yoga or some light lifting. Nothing incredible but before I used to be a mess out of breath running to my car from my apartment.
I lost over 30 pounds and I am now sitting right around 178-179 pounds. My blood pressure is now in the totally safe range and even though my physique isn't perfect its still better than the horrible shape I was in.

anyways ever since i lost over 30 lbs my erections have been extremely hard and thats good but sometimes it actually hurts like the skin is too tight and it actually turns a slightly dark color versus the light pink color of a normal cock. which i dont think women will like.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you have any mental tricks to keep you wieght under control. To cut a long story short: I was 16 st (managed to retain a lot of flexibility from doing gymnastics as a kid, can still squat with heels down for hours on end despite being english), managed to get down to 12 with regular running (can now run for an hour and breathe through nose still) but I can't stop eating. I also work 12 hours in a store (Wal Mart owned) sheft stacking on weekends, and my legs, torso and arms hurt like hell, kind of a bruised sensation and I can't stop eating. Monster, Salami, Pizza, chicken, cheese, I'm ravenous 24/7 and my belly is not going down. How do I cut? I just can't stop eating and its negating any exercise I do. Even as I type this, images of garlic sausage and parma ham are flashing through my mind.
