I don't come here often, but I need real advice. I'm currently 18 and I'll be leaving for Army basic in June. I've always been the indoors type but I'm excited about joining up, I passed all the physical tests until this point, and I'm at a good bmi, but the Army requires a minimum 8 minute mile just to get into basic, and my best mile is just below 10 minutes. I'm terrible at running. I can't run more than a quarter mile without a huge heart rate spike, leg pains, and lightheadedness. It's not general unfitness, I can lift and swim fine, but specifically when running I get a huge amount of pain. What am I doing wrong? Is it form? Some kind of disease?

I started a regime of going to the gym everyday during the week, instead of just 3 times. My days consist of eating, drinking copious amounts of water to stave off muscle cramps and sleeping 10 hours without the time or energy to play videogames or jack off.
The gains are amazing though.

Used to be db overhead tri extensions but i went to heavy and something felt like it tore on my left tri where it meets the elbow. So now I just do cable pushdowns and over head extensions with the rope attachment left tri still causes grief occasionally with the overhead even using cables but pushdowns are sweet

What game do you play OP? Lets say you're a casual who plays dota, lol or CS. It doesn't matter, you're a gamer. You live to game, what you need to do is incorporate that into your real life. Lets say you're running around in CS and everytime you die. That's 2 pushups or situps or something. Make it so you can't game without getting something out of it physically. And yeah just taking a break and going for a walk outside works wonders, yes even if its fucking freezing out you pussy. Look man idk how serious you are about this but don't go too hardcore too fast or you will say fuck it and stop. Just start easy and work your way towards your goal. Oh and food man? Just eat lean, you can google that shit. Frozen chicken is based though.

Use a TDEE calculator online. The one at IIFYM is a good one.

Buy some Jasmine or Basmati rice. Buy a rice cooker. Buy chicken breast and season it. Pan fry it or grill it if you can. Steam some broccoli as well and that to your meals. Eat 200 calories of broccoli, rice, and chicken under your TDEE until you're a normal weight.

Oh and this is significantly cheaper than buying outside, so don't use that excuse. Takes about an hour to make enough food for the entire week too. Refrigerate your meals in Tupperware containers and then repeat every Sunday.
