Used to be at novice stats in October, went through some real shit and was out of action for a long time, only just returning to the gym now

Planning to bulk at 110% TDEE (400g carbs, 135g protons, 47g fat) for 98 days, then cut for 85 until September

Will be following balconybrah's meme routine, will post next

Aiming to add around 3.5kg of lean mass and drop to 13% bodyfat for september

Now, please tell me why i'm a deluded DYEL who will make no gains (not being sarcastic)

also my arms are stuck bent like that because i went back to the gym for the first time a couple of days ago and now theyre stiff as fuck

0.4kg not in muscle mass, unless youre a real real starter and go hardcore.
0.4kg fat is only 3600kcal, so 500kcal a day. quite easy.
if you lift and only eat protein, about grams twice your weight in kilo, you might gain.
cut for summerbody, bulk for maximasing gains. But if you watch your diet, both can happen

Opinions on the T-bar row? It is meme? I finally left Planet Fitness for a real gym and I want to incorporate all the barbell lifts that we denied me for two years. Is this essential, an okay accessory, or worthless?

If it's loose skin you're fucked unless surgery

Otherwise work your core consistently, build enough muscle so your tummy looks small by comparison, and most importantly drop bodyfat to 12% or less til you can see your abs.

would never work in a practical real world scenario unless:

Fighting with clothes on is:

1. tuck your chin
2. break the clinch and punch out, circle backwards, avoid getting blindsided
3. turn around and run if there are too many people


If you're a big guy just troll the instructor and ask how he would handle someone who rushed in, changed levels, drove through him with their hips, picked him up and dropped him on his head. Then offer to demonstrate.

They teach zero floor grappling or defense off your back, if you outweigh the guy by 20lbs he is completely fucked when on the ground, you can just trap his arms, pass his guard and headbutt and elbow him until he dies.

My hair has thinned out heaps which a hairdresser I saw recently commented on.

"You're hair is very weird, it's very thick but very fine". I'm not receding at the hairline but it's thinned massively. When I shampoo hair often comes out and when I wake there's hairs on my pillow.

But, and this is what confuses me, it's accompanied by horrible itching (which a lot of guys seem to experience) and sometimes bumps and stuff. Also, at the same time this really kicked in, my eyebrows receded from the outside in heaps, eyebrows started falling out. I got my thyroid test (only TSH1 and TSH2) and they were apparently normal but I've started supplementing kelp.

Plus my forehead itches something wicked too when this is going on. Any /fit/izens have any idea what's going on?

Bros I've made it to my goal body. Perfect bodyweight, perfect bf%, perfect muscle mass; perfect. How do I stay at this point? I know all my PRs and have my routine, do I just need to eat at maintenance while doing those? Still eating the same amount of protein (1g per lbs)? What if I miss a gym day and just eat at sedentary levels? Will I retain my gains forever now?

Being brutally honest here I lift because getting fit does help some with social anxiety, I tend to avoid any interaction with strangers, I tend to avoid eye contact but now instead of looking down the ground I fixed my posture and simply look forward over everyone.

What about you?

I lift because it feels good, gives me goals and I like the pump. I got sick of muscle strains and injuries over the last couple years so I'm thinking of taking up rowing or something instead though
