Hey pals, so I have a problem with my abs.
I can't squat or diddly lift due to very serious back problems.
I'm barely dyel but would look better if I had more sculpted abs

How do I fix this? I know that the stabilization on squat and DLs improve abs, but I obviously can't go that route.

Workouts shouldn't go for too long anyways, otherwise you start seeing higher spikes in cortisol which is damaging to your testosterone.
Try to get your times down to 45 minutes

>how does /fit/ sleep to minimize shoulder discomfort?

I have no idea where else to post this so I thought I would try here. I have slept like pic related for my whole life (27 years), about 2 years ago it got uncomfortable for me to sleep that way. Not a stinging pain or anything, but a general discomfort in my shoulder joint area. I started lifting about 8 months ago and I do alot of shoulder lifts (Clean and Jerk and Snatch mostly) and it has just made the discomfort worse. Again, not painful, just uncomfortable. What causes this? Sleeping on my side results in the same discomfort as sleeping like pic related.

Holy fuck I am the most inflexible person on the planet I swear.

So I have a good half of my life spent being active and the other half being the extreme end of inactive. But never in any of that time did I stretch and I am a stiff fuck. I notice it especially now that I am lifting again with more knowledge of what I'm supposed to be doing and feeling. So I want to make stretching a part of my week, dedicate an hour to yoga or some shit on my off days.
Problem, like most things there is a saturation of misguided info, I'm not so comfortable with experimenting because of the injury risk. Yoga classes are expensive and I sure as hell ain't trusting some liberal hipster to teach me, I want the Indian yogi or bust.
So is there an equivalent of SS or something for becoming more flexible in a "practical" sense. I don't need to be able to suck my own dick but for goodness sake I can't touch my fucking toes without bending my knees, or bring my leg up too high. Lots of workouts I do are much harder than they need to be because of how stiff I am (like squats).
Don't get me started in my back and neck.

Im also looking for a stretch routine. I did p90x not too long ago and it had a yoga day and a stretch day and those were great for me. I felt good as hell after following those videos

I go to the gym and lift for 1-3hrs a day plus 20min biking there and 20min biking back (about 8 miles round trip)


I know I need to do more of everything especially lats and traps.
