>Starving hungry
>Don't feel like anything in particular
> Despite hunger every suggestion sounds terrible
How is this even a thing? Am I the first human being to experience this?
>>8232685
I've been feeling like this for the past few days.
I'm just eating dry oats right out of the bag now.
>>8232689
I don't get it. How can we be so hungry without a single particular craving?
>>8232698
I'm not sure.
On one hand, I think it may be a symptom of my special brand of retardation, but on the other hand, I feel like it might be something that most people go through sometimes, even if only in small amounts.
I had an eating disorder at one point when I was like, 11-12, and I basically went 3-4 days without eating, and would only eat half-meals at a time, usually once or twice a day.
It wasn't because I didn't want to eat, it was just that all of the food was unappealing to me. I found at this point, and at other points in my life when I've starved myself, it was actually really hard to eat things. I always felt full after the first bite.
Oh, eventually I found out that the reason I found none of the food appealing was just that my mother was that fucking bad of a cook.
These dry oats are the only thing I've had to eat in two days.
Food myth? That you can lick the cream off these and other similar cookies....you can't, you can peel it off, but it isn't cream to be simply licked, it is a hard cream

Next time you want to start a thread just post, "I'm an idiot. Please respond."

Try being original, you mentally vacant sap.
so who here has been picking mushrooms lately? It's shaggy mane season, and theyve been cropping up everywhere. Surely I cant be the only one.
>>8232433
It would be cool, but I'm smart enough to know I'm too dumb to forage my own.
Too dry here for mushrooms, and even if I could pick mushrooms I'd be too fucking stupid and would ruin my liver/die.
>>8232442
Good man.
How do I make a great burger patty? Just mash up some ground beef and salt and pepper? Nothing else?
>>8232353
Grind your own chuck roast. I like to add about half as much lamb as I have beef. Form the patties GENTLY. Don't overcook them. That's about it. You're grilling these, right?
>>8232356
I don't have a meat grinder, is there an alternative?
>You're grilling these, right?
Yes
>>8232353
Avoid common mistakes like using egg/breadcrumbs as a binder or adding vegetables. If you want, add spices and/or herbs. Cayenne, paprika, ground thyme, ground coriander, garlic powder, salt, pepper, it all works. I wouldn't recommend adding fresh herbs/vegetables. If nothing else they can/will burn if any piece is exposed.
Wet your hands when shaping the patty, the meat will stick less to your hands. Don't make the patty retard thick either. Just. Just be reasonable. That cow didnt do nothing wrong. Traet it right.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this on a cast iron?
It looks like an fine layer of rust but I can't remove it with stool wool - even after letting it sit in water and vinegar.
is stool wool clumps of ass hair with poo stuck in them?
not when you don't have a higterian flamnapler.
suppose to use Himalayan pink salt
What is the simplest meal I can cook for every meal and still meet most nutritional requirements of my body?
Boiled chicken, steamed vegetables
Rice and beans
whole milk with protein powder
>>8232259
I'm looking to get a cast iron skillet, I've been considering the ones from solidteknics but was just wondering if there is any real difference between cheap or expensive cast iron?
Also what are people's opinions on size for a general use skillet, is 26cm (about 10") going to be big enough or should I opt for something like 30-32(11-12")?
Depends on what you are going to do in it. Mostly used to sear meats, get a sear on veggies then go into oven or deep fry in. If you are going to keep a seasoning on it it's best not to mix sweet things and savory things.
I'd say a larger pan for savory and a small pan for cobblers and little pies would be best. Not sure about price difference but I found mine by a dumpster, deep cleaned and re seasoned it and use it all the time. Fry bacon and eggs in it most mornings and use it to fry chicken and potatoes all the time. I think price has something to do with the quality of the metals used.

>I'm looking to get a cast iron skillet
Don't.
Go with carbon steel.
Lighter than cast iron, but can be tossed in an oven / open flame and take stupid high heats just like cast iron.
Carbon steel is what you want.
>>8232246
I'm listening, I will have a look into carbon steel if that's the case
Does anyone here have any experience using lard as a butter replacement? Butter is expensive as hell in my country. The normal alternative would be using margarine, but wouldn't lard be a lot healthier?
What does /ck/ think?
Lard is indeed much healthier than margarine. I would recommend it over margarine any day.
They say something with the fat structure actually makes it healthy but I can't google that now.
lard is fine. Hydrogenated lard isn't
>>8232129
recently I bought a pound of it for experimentation, here's what I noticed:
>baking
I made some biscuits with lard instead of butter, I found the consistency of the biscuits to be about the same, the flavor was different and not in a completely pleasant way, but I found it highly edible.
>cooking
I cut up some potatoes patted them dry and salted them, threw in pan with some lard and good fucking god it was the most golden brown deliciously crunchy batch of homefries I have thus experienced. I also cooked an egg with some lard and found it to be about the same as butter for that.
>lubrication for a Colt model of 1858 replica cap and ball revolver
Pretty similar to bore butter in consistency but it will go rancid and start to stink, I'd say stick to bore butter.
When I make fried rice i use vegetable oil but does anyone use butter? I would think it's a bit unconventional.
sesame oil and butter
nooo, don't do that. Blech.
>>8231892
do you use butter and sesame oil at the same time or just w/e you feel like at the time?
Do you eat these when they come in your chinese food?
>>8231825
You bet your fucking ass I do! I love them.
only if i want to be shortly thereafter digging my fingernails into my thighs as a shit lava-laced razor blades
>>8231825
Fuck no those things taste like how firecrackers smell
I made rice and bean soup for dinnner.
I'm sorry to hear that
>>8231593
I'm low on cash and food
>>8231591
You bulkin bro? Should add some chicken.
I have a disgusting, shameful habit of going on sugar binges. I'll literally eat an entire box of fruit chews in one sitting, maybe even add some cookies.
If I do this during the day, I fall asleep shortly after. I assume this is true at night but it's not a noticeable symptom because I'm about to go to bed anyway.
Can someone tell me what about the sugar is causing me to fall asleep - and what other things might it be doing to my body besides making me a lardass and increasing my risk for diabetes.
Maybe this will help me say no once and for all. I'm thinking about never buying sugar again.
When I was a kid my mom would only give me so much candy, but now that I'm an adult I give myself all the candy I want and it's fucking repulsive. I need an intervention.
>>8231521
Replace candy with fruit, particularly high-fiber ones like berries. Then start to lower amount of fruit until you feel sane again. Ban sugary drinks.
I don't believe in keto for most people but you'd be one of the people to benefit by doing it and becoming fat adapted just so you can get out of the sweet habit.
>>8231521
>Can someone tell me what about the sugar is causing me to fall asleep
google.com
>>8231529
lol I tried the ketogenic diet and it made me feel worse than all the sugary binges I've had in my entire life put together.
Thanks for trying though. I'm not a big fan of berries unfortunately. I do like fruity baby food though so maybe I'll just stick with those if I get a sweet tooth.
Gotta say, Talenti's Pumpkin Pie blew me away recently
I like vanilla.

Milk. Is it true that it fucks up your hormonal balance?
I love it, but i think i should stop drinking it if it's true. My moobs are big enough.
drink soy fuckin yeahhh
>consuming diary products past the age of six
>>8231353
i've read somewhere online that it's almost the same situation with soy milk, apparently it also has estrogen.
Typical cheese day at Nando's.
This is what cheese lovers eat.
God you better not be that idiot who made the terrible thread about a French guy getting pissed that his friends didn't let him know it was cheese day
>>8231244
I remember that thread. Frenchbro was completely right to be angry, his friends were assholes. Would it have been that hard to let him know it was cheese day?
>>8231244
OP never made it clear why he got so pissed, but I assume it was because non-French cheese can't even begin to compare to legit French cheese
