I saw Gordon Ramsay at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

How important is lime with Mexican food?
>>8235673
A very nice addition.
>>8235673
Essential in some recipes, in others it gives it a really good flavor.

Get yourself a McGriddle and hash Brown and get the doggos some hotcakes.
I feed my dog hotcakes in syrup every Sunday morning as a ritual and he loves it.

Thanks! Will post results if the thread is still alive tonight.
why would it not be alright?
>Boil water
>Water evaporates
>Pot is dry, left on burner for a bit
>Pot seems fine
>Clean it
>Next day wipe the inside with damp paper towel
>Paper towel comes off orange, there's rust
What are you supposed to do in this situation?
Do you chuck the pot and buy a new one, or can you "fix" them?
If you can fix them, how good can they be restored? Will the rust be a problem forever going forward or is that something that can be entirely fixed?
The burn wasn't so bad. Was on for less than 30 minutes total from the start with the water in it. The burner was on high and there were a few water droplets still in the pot as it was cooking itself so I think I caught it in time to prevent RUINING it. But it's definitely damaged.
Prior to this it was in like new condition, no spots whatsoever on the bottom. The ones in pic are all new.
did you forget it on or something?
as long as it's not non-stick just scrub the rust off with some steel wool, clean it well in the sink and dry it, maybe rub a little oil on it afterwards if you're so inclined
there's nothing really wrong with it as is though as less sightly as it may be
>>8235517
>did you forget it on or something?
What I forgot was to fill the pot.
I wanted to boil a lot of water but there was only about 10oz of water in it when I put it on so that shit evaporated way quicker than expected.
>as long as it's not non-stick just scrub the rust off with some steel wool, clean it well in the sink and dry it
I did use a scrubby sponge to clean it originally once it cooled off but then it rusted a little overnight. I let it air dry, guess I'll try again and towel dry it immediately after the cleaning.
>maybe rub a little oil on it afterwards if you're so inclined
What would the oil help with?
When the oil eventually goes away, wouldn't the pot resume rusting or will it form some kind of coating or layer on it preventing rust from happening again?
I'm looking for some basic advice for cooking cheap steak. I acknowledge I am retarded.
I have little experience cooking 'real' steak but I have bought some cheap beef in the past. My attempts to cook them at medium have left them a lot chewier than if I had put them to well done. It's probably obvious, but is this because some quality and cuts of meats will just be chewy (like difficult to bite through) unless cooked through?
My question is basically: am I doing something wrong, or should I be satisfied with cooking it more thoroughly? It's just going to be thrown on a sandwich with some gravy and onions. I'm not going to complain if I can't get something I paid 4 dollars for juicy and medium rare, but I also want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong.
I just salt and put it in a very hot pan for a minute or two each side, but this has previously left it chewy
pic related (i'll prolly slice it thinner)
please don't yell at me
just get your pan hot as fuck and brown it well all over
>>8235462
salt it on both sides. let it sit for a bit, then wipe salt& accumulated moisture off with a paper towel. makes it easier to get it nice and crispy
>>8235462
Buy a meat tenderizer and pound it thin.
Have you ever been served a tainted food item at a restaurant?
Probably.
Yeah. Took a bite of rice at a hole-in-the-wall place I always used to go to. Friends with the chinese immigrant owner, brought her bread and produce from the farm when I had extra and she'd give me pickled broccoli and scallion pancakes and shit.
Turns out the rice had maggots. all dead from the cooking, and it didn't taste bad, but still pretty gross. Owner insisted it was a mixup between "unmarked bag of rice to be thrown out" and "unmarked bag of rice to be used" but I haven't eaten there since.

Last nights curry nearly came spewing out of my arse when I opened this image

Why would you add sugar to gravy? Can you give me the recipe?
Also are you Southern? I am from the south and this sounds like something a southern person would do

Bread is kinda cool when you think about it
If I start thinking about anything im going to become suicidal again.
Bread is fucking awesome, but it bloats me like crazy.
I like my bread in the form of beer.
Is there even 1 (one) (一) hot sauce brand that's both tasty and spicy?
Obviously it's subjective, but Tabasco makes one which is their standard sauce mixed with habanero sauce. Same taste but more heat

Tapatio
