Does alcohol relieve anxiety?
>>8227725
Temporarily. But then it's back with a vengeance. Anxiety is a common symptom of alcoholism.
>>8227731
Fuck.
>>8227735
Just stay drunk, dumdum, eventually you'll kill that anxiety.
White Castle thread. How many sliders can you eat? What is your normal order?
I can eat probably like 6-7 regular sliders
My normal order is two double jalapeno cheese sliders, two double bacon cheese sliders, and a medium fry
>>8228878
a ?
I'm north of Seattle and we don't have those here. But I would love to try! I bet I could eat about 5 or 6.
Last time i had white castle i split a crave crate with a few friends. I had a lot of leftover sliders that i froze. Usually just get a crave case though. I guess i eat ten at a time dont really keep count
What are some of /ck/'s favorite food related movies?

bump. turned 26 today so I am going to go home and drink all day alone like I always do on my birthday.
>>8218007
Currently on day 3 of not drinking having drunk at least half a bottle of gin a night for well over a year.
Sleep is better, motivation is better, I generally feel better, but the "brain fog" or whatever you call it is still there and I am finding concentration difficult. Hopefully this will pass.
what is the sense of buying water in bottle if you have water in house
you live in a third world country.
So no reason. My tap water is far more clean than bottled crap.

>>8234066
Okay where are the rest of the pic's???
Real talk, fellas.
I've been a Scotch guy all my life. I never had Bourbon (aside from trash like Jack Daniels and Jim Beam at parties) before and want to get into it.
Please recommend me your favourite Bourbon and tell me why you like it above any other brand the most.
Price is not an issue.
>>8234011
Jack Beam.
>>8234011
Jim Beam is Tennessee whiskey. Bourbon can only be made in Bourbon co. Kentucky.
I recommend trying the stalwarts first: Maker's Mark and Wild Turkey 101. They're just about the only bourbons I'll buy consistently.
They won't break the bank and it'll give you a good impression of the fundamental style. That being said, my favorite is Van Winkle Special Reserve 12yo Lot "B". Sadly, it's virtually impossible to find where I live, you mileage may vary if you live in the US.
It represents the peak of flavor between boldness and complexity better than most. It represents what lesser bourbons strive for, and what some overpriced brands feel or think a ridiculous price and marketable prestige can replace.
ok children, I have a hotplate, a grill, a mini-fridge, and a misguided desire to teach you faggots how to cook. I have access to great local produce, scores of small farms raising livestock, and probably the best dairy products in the US. I don't have much in the way of kitchen gadgets or even really pots and pans here, but I have to start stocking up on that shit anyways, so this is a good opportunity for both of us.
What kind of stuff do you want to see me cook?
>>8233985
Sketti
what is the most versatile cheese?
Cheddar
>>8233690
Cream cheese
Kraft singles of course
So, cooks, what is your GOAT food when you are drunk?
Mine is, in no particular order:
- sloppy burger from any chain fast food ;McCrap is fav, I have to admit
- kebab from local turkish peddlers
- nachos with chili con carne and jalapenos and sour cream and guacamole and salsa
Reason why I ask is I wan't to put something new on night meny at place I work but my ideas are not very creative because my drunk taste is pretty basic.
Pic unrelated, just some porchetta I did when I was working in Italy.
>>8233464
A pigslug, huh? Looks tasty.
Pizza
Taco bell
Lay's smothered in Frank's hot sauce
In no particular order.
>>8233470
Actually replace taco bell with bratwurst with sauerkraut.
I'm British and going to be in Boston next week.
I haven't been to the states before so can anyone recommend some food to try?
Ideally some decent snacks and fast food.
Stay away from tourist traps like Faneuil Hall or the Union Oyster house but try to get a lobster roll somewhere in the south end.
Try to get some pizza from Regina's and some cannoli from Mike's Pastry or Modern.
Parish Cafe has some of the best sandwiches in the city.
Saus has amazing belgian style fries, poutine, and kebab.
Mr. Bartley's has really good hamburgers.
And then of course you have the bottom tier fast food like Raising Cane's, Tasty Burger, or the Yard House.
>>8233368
Adding on to that
Super 88 Market for authentic Asian food
Sofra for Mediterranean food
Rincon Mexicano for authentic tacos
JP Licks for good ice cream
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll put them on a list and see what I can get.
You all white faggots don't know bout some of the best tastin food on erth. You don't deserve to know.
>>8233317
Great post, Nigel.
>be white guy from europe
>date black american southern nigress for seven years
>learn the culinary secrets of the 'groids
>break up
>still know 'groid secrets
Nah, I'm good, thanks.
>>8233317
I do know. Best soul food place around me was in unnamed ala carte restaurant in a rural highway gas station near a black blue collar town. I'd ask for 3 oxtails, green beans, mac and cheese, and a biscuit for $8. Everything perfectly seasoned. Only $6 if I wanted chicken instead which was usually some sort of marinated "bay chicken". Fuck it was good. Now it's been replaced by a shitty fried chicken chain and it's 10x busier than it used to be. So apparently even fucking black people don't like real soul food that much if they let this happen
What's the best meal you can prepare with Olive Oil?
>>8233258
I drink it straight. I drink 5 or 6 tall glasses of the stuff a day
>>8233263
r u ok
cold penne you cooked the night before and put in the fridge, which has stuck together a bit, with black pepper and salt, while a little hungover, for lunch.
your thoughts on coconut oil in replacement of butter and olive oil?
>>8233257
Before you use it in a dish microwave it for 5 mins and then add cumin to it
>>8233262
It works better in dishes once you do this first
Fries
Hotdog
Burgers
Steak
Fried egg
Pasta dishes
Meatloaf, meatballs
Sauces, marinades
Bonus: for polishing copper.
It really is the king of condiments.
>>8233220
God I hate americans.
>>8233220
people say salsa was getting more popular, but salsa is really just unblended ketchup.
So is ketchup a sauce? Technically speaking.
