To preempt any shitposters. I have clad SS as well as smooth vintage cast iron pans. Nothing is better than nonstick for scrambled eggs. Don't post if you want to shitpost and argue because you're retarded and wrong.

Here's some additional preferences.
-It's to be strictly used for scrambled eggs and nothing else. Durability shouldn't be a big deal.
-No rivets.
-Can be cleaned easily to look new.
-Can be bought on Amazon or any big brick and mortar stores.

Asking for a friend.

Forgot to add. If the point is scrambled eggs. Would a pot work better than a pan?
>>
A foodservice brand, like Tramontina or Alegacy (Eagleware).

>>no rivets
Why? It's like you want the handle to fall off.
>>
A cheap one. When the coating starts to go, just throw it out and get another

Oh boy, it's a thread where OP pretends to ignore everyone telling him they're poisonous and listens to people telling him to cook them, then tells us he's feeling symptoms of poison and says he's going to lay down then doesn't post again, leaving us to assume he's died.

nothing wrong with tv dinners
sometimes you just don't feel like cooking, but stil want to eat something cheap other than burgers
this is the better one tho
>>
I'll eat them sometimes.
They're good for nuking for like five minutes or whatever it says when you're not in the mood to cook. I wouldn't put them in the oven. You're eating a fucking frozen dinner. No point in wasting forty-five minutes of your time "cooking" a frozen dinner.

Has anyone made Gnocchi before? Is it worth it or do they taste the same as the fresh ones you can buy? Is it difficult to make them (ie do they fall apart if you dont get the exact right balance of ingredients or something)?
21 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>8236016

I've made them a few times. I found it quite easy, never had any of them fall apart on me. Mine weren't as consistent in shape as the store-bought ones but they tasted a lot better.

>>(ie do they fall apart if you dont get the exact right balance of ingredients

Not in my experience. I "winged it" based on what I saw people do on Iron Chef and they didn't fall apart.

also: potato gnocchi or ricotta gnocchi?
>>
>>8236029
Gnocchi by definition contains potato. So even "ricotta gnocchi" will be potato-based. The ricotta is just an added flavor.

I'm a beginner and can only make microwave meals and toast. Is there a resource which can help me learn how to cook proper meals and maybe for others?
12 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>8236000
Sure, plenty of them.

1) Cookbooks
2) Google recipe + follow directions. If the recipe contains a word in it that you don't know, just google it to learn what it means.
3) Youtube. There are countless cooking programs.
>>
yeah, it's called a cook book or any of the millions and millions of google results for "recipe" you fucking retard
>>
Gordon Ramsay's home cooking series on his youtube.

Honestly, he is the best teacher of natural cooking technique I've seen. You don't even have to follow his recipes if they are too complicated for you, but he describes the very basics of cooking really well.

A friend brought me these, I assume those are furikake rice seasonings, but what flavours are those?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>8235880

no idea about the one on the left
the one in the middle contains Katsuo (dried skipjack tuna)
One on the right is some kind of veggie whose name I don't know in English + sesame.
>>
>>8235896
Thanks anon, I know that most furikake contains katsobushi and nori, but are also flavored, maybe someone else knows for sure.
>>
Left one is a mix of plums and an herb called Perilla, or shiso in japanese. That's why it has the plum blossoms and the leaf in the background for design.
Right one says literally "young leaves and sesame". That could refer to any type of mixture of young greens or herbs though, so not sure what's in there exactly.

How do you recommend cooking sausages? I normally just cook them in a pan with a little water to keep them from burning until I see the casing start to pop open, or cut them open to see once they're cooked through.
How do you do it? Any recommendations?

The Wisconsin way (bratwurst): boil in cheap lager and onions, grill to crisp up the casing. Serve with grilled/sautéed onions, and/or sauerkraut, mustard.
