What are the essentials for a truly great meatball sub?
Are additional fillings aside from meatballs, melted cheese and marina sauce permitted?
Pickles and raw onions
>>8260019
Enough vegetables to carry the sub (Cucumber, Tomato, Lettuce)
Soft bread. You don't want the sharp bread to destroy the roof of your mouth.
A good marinara. Still haven't perfected this one but this is the key.
Good meatballs. Obviously.
The cheese will be warm and most taste pretty similar anyway.
Nothing. Else. Matters.
What's are your /ck/ related fears? Anything food or cooking related that terrifies you
>to scared to use a pressure cooker
:(((((((((((((((((((((((((((
I'd be more scared to buy a pressure cooker lol
I made fermented hot sauce. I was scared of dying of botulism. 12+ hours and I'm still alive. The sauce was fucking great too, would recommend.
>>8260077
The first couple times I used a pressure cooker it intimidated me because I know a few people who had fucked up with them and told me blowing the thing up was inevitable. But I got over that six years ago and have been using mine several times a week without incident.
I'll miss you

I knew he couldn't have been too far away.

Now it is truly cooking with dog (meat).
So, I'm supposed to be making the mashed potatoes this year for my family's Thanksgiving and I'm wondering if any of you guys have a tried and true recipe to share. I'm planning on using red potatoes, but any other ingredients are game.

boil potatoes. don't skin them unless ur a bitch
mash em
some milk and mix till they creamy
some butter, proportional to how much fat u wanna gain
salt to taste
pepper to taste

>>8263987
implying the little pug doesn't puke them straight out afterwards.
>>8263991
she doesn't, you just don't have the bowels of said pug, don't hate.
Why don't these threads ever reach bump limit? Edition
What are we brewing? What are we brewing with? What are we drinking it out of?
>>8261471
>Wonder why coffee threads never hit bump limit
>Get reminded exactly why
If you want to hit the bump limit you've got to have the right subject
Coffee is too aromatic for people to actually discuss meaningfully
Thoughts on these beans?
I tried most of common brands available here in Poland and this is the one that i like the most.
I brew it in french press and drink it black no sugar, tastes really good.
Do you use chopsticks when you go to an Asian restaurant?
>>8267592
Of course I do, always, unless it's a restaurant from an Asian country that doesn't use chopsticks. Thai and Burmese use forks and spoons (mainly spoons), and only use chopsticks for noodles.
>>8267592
I take my Asian girlfriend to American restaurants and they always bring her chopsticks, I'm not sure if polite or racist, but I laugh my ass off.
>>8267601
this is hilarious
The food fairy has gifted you some pears. What dish do you make with them?
I'd make a spiced syrup and add some red wine to it, and let the pears boil in it until they turn bright red
Serve it over ice cream or with a dollop of mascarpone, it's good shit
>>8267428
fuck off dude
eat a monomeal
Thinking of going to pick a couple of these up. How are they?
>>8266627
Tastes similar to Pumpkin pie but more, well, sweet-potatoe like.
Best to make it yourself, it's easy as fuck.
>>8266645
Well, of course its best to make one yourself. But I also believe that its good to try other takes on things that you could make yourself.
I've never had pumpkin pie, so perhaps I should pick one of those up as well for comparison.
>>8266648
fuck right off
dont buy niggerpie
Wait, with or against the grain?
Against dummy
>>8266572
Against. It preserves the juices.
against. Search for Alton Brown's garden hose prop and you'll never forget again.
Heard that B12 is what the 5hour energy uses to wake up people. Also heard the right fruit could also do that. What fruits would be good for a blender-made drink?
5hr energy uses caffeine to wake people up. fruit has lots of sugar. Don't eat it regularly or else your teeth will rot.
>>8266560
Well, any suggestions besides that?
Too much fruit also destroy the enamel on your teeth because of the citric acid in them.
>tfw I have to eat less fruit because my dentist says it's fucking up my teeth
This is true suffering
lets make a bread thread
>leavened master race.
>bake a dry-ass heavy as fuck loaf of plain round white bread
>clumsily slice across the top before you bake it
>cover it in a shit ton of flour for no reason
>"Artisan"
Well?
