Hi /ck/ my work is having a dessert contest (fall theme) in a week and I was wondering what are some great dessert recipes that are I guess fall themed? i want to impress everyone.
Bread pudding, baked in a pumpkin shell.
It's time for seasonal foods /ck/, which means its time for the release of the best ice cream- peppermint ice cream. Why is it so good?
>>8266064
its not
>implying mint ice cream with chocolate bits isn't better

mah nigga
do you ever look at a salt packet and wonder how they find enough people with hands tiny enough to fill and seal each packet?
No because I am aware that it's done by machines not humans.
>>8266155
>done by machines not humans.
Not in Trump's America.
dubs thread?
Semi related
One time, unironically, my grandmother asked hiw they got the peanuts in the shells, and why they sold whole bags of shelled ones not just the peanut itself
I was confused but laughed hysterically when i understood
Any of you know of an energy drink with no sugar or sweeteners that's cheaper than Hiball? I like this stuff, but I really wish it wasn't $2+ a damn can.
>>8265996
Caffeine pills + water
>>8265996
alot of energy drinks are $2 a can
>>8266005
I was getting this organic Rockstar energy drink before that was ~$1.50 a can, sometimes on sale for as low as $1. Noticeably cheaper, but had like 50g of sugar a can.
>>8266003
I think I oughtta just look into this. Go and buy like club soda, pop that open, and toss a caffeine pill in there. I knew caffeine pills were cheap, but goddamn they're even cheaper than I thought. 100 200mg pills for $8 on Amazon. I imagine a can of club soda would be like $.20, so total would be ~$.30 or so.
Best gas station food?
AMPM chocolate chip cookies are FUCKING BEYOND. Ridiculous ratio of chocolate chips to cookie. Amazing warmed up in the microwave for 10 seconds with a big glass of cold milk.
sheetz

A few personal favorites:
Broccoli cheddar soup.
Buffalo chicken macaroni & cheese.
Pork & vegetable egg rolls.
Fresh hot prepared foods are the best quality.
Typically available for meal times.
Very good for commuters.
Sorry, but it's better than In N Out.
In N Out's main appeal is its pig disgusting orange slop sauce that gets everyone's salty tooth in an uproar.
FG has more toppings, thicker patties (imo), and do I even need to mention the cajun fries?
If we are going to be in a Donald Trump presidency I feel it's time to cut the shit and just say the truth.
The only proponents of in-n-out are poor uneducated stoners from the west coast. Everyone else knows it's mediocre.
>cut the shit and just say the truth
Steak N Shake is honestly almost as good as 5 fags if you find a good staffed location, and costs a quarter of the price. They're fucking streets ahead of McD's or any other chain in that price range. If you go there during happy hour (which is 2-5pm but also 2-5 am) the shakes are half price if you're into those. (They're pretty gud)
>>8265821
they're really not to be compared
five guys is a $10+ meal for when you're hungry as fuck, and would like to treat yourself
in-n-out is a $5.50 meal for when you're in the mood for something substantial but not huge
both taste very different while still belonging to burger-foods
quit like... "Sorry, but" honestly what does this accomplish
What are some easy to cook "snacks"? Lately, I've been making some tuna dips for sandwiches because they're fast, cheap and easy to make.
I just moved from parents home into renting with a friend, and I've started cooking my own shit. I usually cook for the next 3-4 days and always got some complete meals lying around (protein+rice+lentils) but I can't just eat all at once because I'd have no food for lunch at work.
Also I hate buying instant microwaveable food because its bad for your health.
I buy trail mix, sardines, nuts, or bring a peanut butter sandwich to work for a snack. Also, Greek yogurt and granola is GOAT
Garlic roasted broccoli is always a good option. You can get broccoli on the cheap and it takes all of 15 minutes to prepare and cook.
Olive oil + broccoli crowns.
Toss salt + pepper.
Oven 400 for 8-10 minutes.
If you're up to it, a garlic butter emulsion can be created by sauteing a few cloves of garlic in butter.
Brush butter on garlic.
Enjoy.
I had steamed brussel sprouts as a kid and absolutely despised them. I stopped by the store on the way home and on a whim got a dozen of them. What's the best recipe for them?
fry them in bacon
add a bit of maple syrup at the end
Cut them in half. Fry them in oil in either cast iron or steel pan, flat side down so they caramelise. Deglaze with some balsamic or red wine vinegar. Bacon won't hurt.
>>8265268
Roast those fuckers in bacon fat with some parsnips.

Ever add toppings to Ellio's?
>>8264510
Bump
>>8264510
I like to put an entirely different pizza on top of mine. Most of the time I don't even bother with the Ellio.
Always, even if I only have extra cheese on hand. Makes it 100x better. I fucking love Ellio's.
Holy fuck. I just ate food for the first time and why the fuck didn't any of you cunts tell me about this? It's so fucking good. Hold me bros because I'm about to cum.

Ok Guys brace yourselves for some full on stomach-porn. I just needed to tell someone what I've done. Vegans look away. My dinner this evening may well have been the greatest shit I've ever consumed not in order of deliciousness I have had. Venison meatballs, lamb chops, Real Quality Pork sausages served with a side of red potatoes and caramelized onion followed by a passionfruit sorbet. ITT Meals that make you want to weep.
Very nice OP.
Last night I did myself up 2lb roast, stuffed with sauteed and chopped onion, arugala, spinach, mixed greens.
On a bed of veggies and glazed with a mustard soy marinade, 275 degrees for 15 minutes and then 3 hours at 170.
It was the best roast I've ever made and the balance between crisped outer layer and tenderness is something I've never achieved in a roast that didn't involve searing.
Was consumed with a bottle Pinot Noir while vegetarian girlfriend was horrified at the sheer out of meat.
I had three medallions left from last night left over, very rare. Those were seared and then had for breakfast .
Last night I had vodka and boiled noodles with butter. Made me want to weep.
