So this Thanksgiving i was going to try my hand at making dinner rolls. The recipe seems pretty easy, but i want to know would a stand mixer be necessary for making them? I don't want to have to shell out $100 for something i'm not going to use that much, if i could just hand mix, or just mix it myself in a bowl.
Anyone have a recipe for The Best Hamburger Buns I'll Ever Taste?

Nah you don't need a stand mixer. Just use your hands.

This makes a light fluffy bun.
1 cup warm water
2 tsp yeast
1 lb AP flour @ 3 1/3 cups
1 tsp salt
3 TBS melted butter
3 TBS sugar
Combine yeast and water and let proof. Mix dry ingredients. Mix egg and butter. Add proofed yeast and butter egg to dry ingredients and mix until forms ball. Knead 8 minutes. Let rise 1-1.5 hours. Punch down and shape into the size buns you want. Place on cookie sheet cover and let rise 45 minutes or so. Preheat oven to 375F. Brush tops of risen buns with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds. Bake for 15-17 minutes.
