Do you use chopsticks when you go to an Asian restaurant?

Of course I do, always, unless it's a restaurant from an Asian country that doesn't use chopsticks. Thai and Burmese use forks and spoons (mainly spoons), and only use chopsticks for noodles.

I take my Asian girlfriend to American restaurants and they always bring her chopsticks, I'm not sure if polite or racist, but I laugh my ass off.

Is this Asian restaurant in Asia?

If the answer is no, then no, I do not use chopsticks.

However, when I was in Beijing and Shanghai for a few months, I got used to using chopsticks very quickly because they were more widely used and available.

I certainly used them to handle Chef Dong's Braised Sea Cucumber, and this made me happy due to a juvenile sense of humor.
