Do you salt your watermelon? Is there anything else I can put on this stuff?

>Weigh the pieces down and set in a body of water..
>Watch niggers flock to the treat and drown.
I mean, the thing is a multi tasking marvel.
>>8326391
you know why negros eat watermelon? Because it is delicious.
/ck/, I'm in a tough place right now. sort of hard to describe. what do you guys eat when you're nervous, anxious, sad, etc.?
>pic unrelated
>inb4 for me, it is the McChicken
>>8326195
>what do you guys eat when you're nervous, anxious, sad, etc.?
Normal meals.
Nigga, "comfort food" is a one way trip to fat town.
>>8326202
ehh, that's if you do it all the time
Fried chicken/ice cream
But what really helps is eating something fulfilling and nutritious like ramen with bone broth or avocado salad. If i eat junk I feel even worse but if I'm feeling down and eat something nutritious, I actually feel pretty good afterwards.
I'm going to receive some ground venison from my aunt-in-law. I've never eaten it or cooked with it before; do you anons have any idea what to make? Any help with cooking venison would also be very appreciated.
>inb4 burgers, meatballs, meatloaf
burgers
meatballs
meatloaf
>>8326081
My best guess is burgers, meatloaf and meatballs.
Seriously, you have some good meat there. But you have to mix it with at least 20% pork fat to make it palatable. After that, make whatever ground meat dish you're hungry for.
So I wanted to try out metal chopsticks. Looked on ebay and found a seller in South Korea who sold stainless steel ones they claimed were produced in Korea.
I ordered. Later on I saw that many chinese vendors sold something that like identical ones at a much lower price.
I'm a little worried this dude just repackaged chinese cutlery and called it korean. And products from China fucking worries me. Seems to me like they do anything to cut corners. Some of their practices don't even make any sense, some years ago there was a scandal where they found lead in babyfood. Like wtf how do you even save money by adding lead to babyfood?
How do I know these chopsticks are safe to eat with?
>>8325904
>how do you even save money by adding lead to babyfood
It wasn't that they added lead into babyfood to save money, it was that they cut corners and added a filler into the milk powder and it was the filler that happened to contain lead.
>>8325904
Koreans are almost as shitty when it comes to food safety as the chinese. You're probably ok, but consider it a lesson well learned. They'll fuck you over if they can. If you want to be confident, buy Japanese.
>>8325915
Well, anyhow, China and their products scare me. Especially when it comes to anything going into my mouth.
Is there any saving my pans? I loved my stainless steel. I bought them when I lived alone and cooked only for myself and took good care of them. I've since gotten married and my wife is a great lady but she only understands teflon and ruined all of my pans. It wouldn't be terrible but we hang our pans in the open because I cook multiple times a day and I don't want this to be hanging in the open in my kitchen. I've tried vinegar, baking soda, boiling with lime, everything I can think of. Are they fucked?
>>8325878
>I've tried vinegar, baking soda, boiling with lime, everything I can think of.
All that and they still look like the pic? Scary shit m8. I wish I knew what to recommend. How much did you pay for em?
Fwiw, I think good maintenance over a long period of time will eventually restore them. Every time wifey scorches them it'll counteract your progress though.
>>8325903
I didn't pay a ton. Probably 40 for the two smaller ones and 30 for the big one with the copper bottom. They are the kohl's special. We just bought a set of ceramic which is great for non stick but takes for fucking ever to heat up. I just wanted to save my pans because to me they represent the time in my life where I learned to cook like an adult. But she would just drop frozen hash browns in there with absolutely no fat because somehow cooking with fat is the reason people are fat. Yet our cast iron is pristine so who the fuck knows.
>>8325878
soap, water, and a stainless steel scrubbie pad
it's fine
My girlfriend really like taco belle nachos. I'm like baby, I can make you nachos that are better and way cheaper, you can have nachos everyday! ..ok, I have no girlfriend, but can you still help me to make better-than taco belle nachos /ck/ in case I get a girlfriend who really likes taco belle nachos?
euthanize thineself
>>8325764
>You starting your thread off like that
That's definitely why you're single.
>>8325767
Don't you like nachos, talking about nachos, eating nachos? Nachos is the #1 snackfood in the world, it would not be surprising if I find girlfriend who like nachos. So blow me.
So, it's my first time attempting to brew some beer myself and im pretty sure i might have fucked up before i ever really started. I got a brewing kit for xmas last year and i only recently (this thanksgiving to be exact) began to start brewing it. (I know, i know, super long wait period...)
Anyways, i did all of the steps as described but my main concern is if i was too late and the ingredients have expired. The date on the yeast actually stated 11/16, so its a push.
So right now its supposed to be fermenting, but what troubles me is that its been bubbling for only about two days. Now its dead silent and i have no idea whats going on. I've tried looking it up but keep getting mixed answers.
Is it worth it to try and wait it out a week or so? Or should i just dump it and start over with fresh ingredients.
>pic related. just took a hydrometer reading today but i really have no clue what this means
>supposed to be block party amber ale if it matters
>>8325649
If the yeast was expired, that COULD be it. Let it sit around and see what happens, though. The lack of bubbles could be due to a lot, like colder temperatures, different barometric pressure, or what have you.
What SG did you pitch at? What SG is it now?
>>8325649
Your hydrometer reading should have been taken before you pitched your yeast to get your original gravity
Then you could take readings and be able to know when you're done fermenting
But in this case I'd say your yeast was dead
Go to your local home brew store and buy another packet and re-pitch and aerate your wort before re-pitching and you should be OK OP
He's doing it badly. I would do like 10 things differently. Has anyone else become a total asshole about food?
>love making beef stew
>imagine future son shit talking me whilst i make it
>punch balls to punish future son
>>8325565
Why don't you just tell him? he'll respect you for having some balls. right now he is ashamed of you, you know. he lies about you to his friends.
>>8325565
Are you sure you're just a total asshole about food?
My dad left when I was one and has had a string of unfortunate incidents related to being an alchoholic so we don't talk to him.
Mfw wish could cook stew with my dad
Plz help me out you co/ck/s, I'm invited to a potluck with some friends this weekend that I haven't seen in a while.
I'm pretty handy in the kitchen so what's something I can prepare to absolutely knock their socks off? (About 10 people)
>>8325164
>potluck
there's a copypasta for that!
>>8325169
What is it?
I was thinking about making corn pone or upside down cake
Location?
Different places in the world have different tastes.
Never see enough appreciation for fruit here, decided to make this thread.
What are your top 3 fruit?
What is the objectively worst fruit?
Why is watermelon the best fruit?
Anything fruit related.
raisins,
pears,
apples.
coconuts are worst
watermelon blows fat chodes in back alleyways
>>8324997
>What are your top 3 fruit?
banana
strawberries
apple
>What is the objectively worst fruit?
watermelon lol
>Why is watermelon the best fruit?
Bad taste fampai
I have the best taste in fruits. Hands down.
>>8324997
Top 3
Apples
Bananas
Watermelon
Worst is probably astringent persimmons.
>dat feel when you buy an expensive monkfish and its full of worms
would you guys remove them and eat the fish anyways or toss it?
>>8324627
Worms are food too, eat it.
>>8324627
are you fucking serious?
You would have to grill it to charcoal just to make sure and where is the point in eating that?. Even if one of the eggs survies. have fun getting your asshole tickled from then on to an occassional "hi there how you doin?"
>>8324627
how "full of worms" are we talking? if there are just a few and you can remove them before cooking, you're good. assuming you cook the fish properly, you should be fine. if there are more than a few, i'd probably take the fish back to the store.
For me it's the 7 days chocolate croissantâ„¢
I ate that thing today. It was truely horrible tbqh
>>8324493
kurwa
I've never had one of these before, what's wrong with them?
Alright cu/ck/s, let's talk glutinous rice.
What is the best variety? Long grain, short grain? Korean, Thai,...?
Best use? Brewing mijiu/huangjiu/choujiu? Eating as food?
I've only ever tried pic related (good for eating, choujiu smelled of cantaloupe but I let it sit for too long in the heat and it turned), and some cheap bulk Gorean shit from Asian market that was okay but not as good (for eating mostly, also tried to brew makgeolli but it was bland and boring, let it sit and started to get some lacto in it, but now it's too old and kinda gross).
>>8324113
Also, where the fuck can I find screw pine/pandan leaves?
Asian market only has "pandan syrup" but it's entirely artificial with no actual pandan in it.
>>8324113
Pic related is the cheap Korean rice I tried, pretty meh 2bh.
>>8324123
That's because it's sweet rice, which is used mainly for confections. Next time look for calrose or jasmine, newchild.
>where you live
>average price per one full meal in USD

I'll start
>West Sumatra, Indonesia
>approximately $1 per full meal
>Dogfruit and salted clam
>>8324083
>Washington (state), USA
>$12
>Garbanzo beans
>>8324083

depends what you mean by a meal. I can eat for 1 for $0.16 USD by just having some sphaghetti for dinner.
I liek pumpernigel
>>8322118
Did you know pumpernickel roughly translates to "fart devil", or "wind sprite"?
>>8322970
Accurate name.
That's not a pumpernickel, this is.
