>he treats grilling like it's an olympic sport and not glorified monkey burger flipping
Is there anything more disgraceful in the culinary world than bragging about backyard grilling?
Who even grills anyway besides unaccomplished dads who need validation because their jobs are meaningless and they are entirely expendable?
Everything tastes better when it was grilled.
ITT: Weaboo NEET complains about having to be in the sun to grill so he shitposts about it instead.

I really like the grill that the guy in this article has, does anybody here know what make/model it is?
http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2015/07/grilling_feminism_and_masculinity_a_grand_unified_theory.html
>>8324144
It looks like a Weber kettle.
Fuck Slate.
>>8324144
it is a kettle grill. why would you want the exact model when there's many alike? memes?
I've got some duck breast given to me recently from my buddy who hunts birds. I was thinking of making a curry using pic related but was wondering what else I should put in it. Heres what I'm thinking so far. Please feel free to add any suggestions or to call me a faggot.
>Curry
>coconut milk
>chili basil sauce
>oyster mushrooms
>onion/leek/shallot
>thai basil
>keffir lime
>lime juice
>pineapple chunks
>diced red pepper
The duck itself will be in strips and panko'd and added on top of the curry dish.
Also, Rice or noodles?
Everyone must be in a fast food thread

INDEED. COME HANG OUT IN THE TACO BELL THREAD WITH US.
>>8324136
I think rice would be nice.
Hey /ck/ !
I'm brewing my pruno right now, do you have any question on it, or the recipe in using ?
> pic related
It will be ready in 2 days.
Jenkem
Have fun with that bottle o botulism
Will big pale onions taste significantly blander than the small organic, colorful dark onions?
it takes fucking forever to cut a sizable amount of it.
>>8323877
Depends entirely on the individual onion. The flavor of raw ingredients like this varies, you can't make generalizations like you are asking about.
>>it takes fucking forever
Sharpen your knife.
>>8323878
It's not my knife, I have very weak hands due to disease, my joints get sore and my precision is bad.
Being organic does not make things taste different
Why are there not more breakfast food trucks?
We've got fifteen million viet/mexi fusion trucks, yet the most DELICIOUS and CHEAP TO MAKE meal of the day is going largely ignored.
- people like breakfast any time of day
- slap bacon on everything and charge $3 extra dollars for it
- most things can be made quickly to order with no adjustment
- lots of room for fusion and reinvention
C'mon you fuckos.

Hi guys. Today we're going to make a meal like they did in 1212. I think. No idea what I am doing
>3.6mb image of a carrot and a parsnip
fuck off
>>8323597
Alright m8, let's see what you can do
>>8323597
there was no way anyone could open a 3.6 MB image in 1212
Is there anything on earth that tastes worse?
>>8323523
>be black
>go to historically black college
>cunts constantly harping on and on about "muh hennessy"
>cave and buy a bottle
it's alright, considering i usually drink Evan Williams, Old Granddad or Sailor Jerry's
But it's honestly just overhyped and WAY overpriced in my opinion
Besides, I don't drink for the taste
>>8323523
Rémy Martin.
>>8323523
HENNESY IS OK.NOT GREAT BUT ALSO NOT BAD. ANY CHEAP VODKA IS WORSE BY FAR.
/ck/ im trying to remember a pizza from the past.
Around 10 years ago maybe a little longer I had a pizza with a kind of flavored sauce in the middle, does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about? Almost certain it was from a main chain and pic related is a similar consistency but not it..
>flavored sauce
It was a bacon mushroom ranch pizza
>>8323101
>flavored sauce in the middle
That really narrows it down.
Anyone with food allergy or other related experience know what might cause this? I'm foggy, slow, my speech is strange. It's happened a few times but I've realized this is not normal. I've been trying low carb/gluten free a bit and have felt great, but after trying this a few times I'm wondering if I should see a doctor. Only a packet of oatmeal and I'm feeling right and stupid.
>>8323025
you got the gluten thing man
If it's only oatmeal, just don't eat it.
Google says gluten sensitivity can cause sluggishness/tiredness after gluten consumption but who fuckin' knows
why the fuck didn't anyone tell me port wine was so delicious?
it's not, it's way too sweet and syrupy
>port wine
That shit gives me a stomach ache every time I drink it. I don't really see the appeal unless you're trying to be a frugal alcoholic.
Port is one of three boozes I keep in the cooking cabinet. Marsala and cheap dry vermouth are the other two.
Been working at a Hickory Farms stall for almost a month now, ask me anything
The shopping mall seems to represent the most recent incarnation of an agora. Do you think the declining traffic in shopping malls speaks to represents a broader decline in civic life? How do you think citizenship is affected when you have less interaction with other members of your community?
Do you like the taste of the hot pepper bacon jam?
>>8322915
Actually I'm an Alberta fag and our economy is in the shitter right now, so I attribute the decline in mall foot traffic to that. And yeah, it's ok
>>8322874
What is the Award Winning Tradition of Hickory Farms?
What do you think is the best rum to add to eggnog?
meyers.
>>8322861
Brandy. Brandy AND rum.
>rum
be a man and add whiskey
nog and drambuie is absolutely god tier.
How do I cook this stuff tonight? I have a fair amount of seasoning avaliable and access to an oven, frying pans, and a stove.
Cast iron skillet
Salt liberally
Vegetables around
In oven at 500f for 40 minutes.
>>8321884
Seasoned, cooked medium high in a pan
Remove skin, put in pot with seasoning and stew on medium low for a few hours, throw in potatoes, carrots, etc for the last hour
Get the bones and boil into stock for other dishes
How do you pick good wine when you're shopping? Do you look at some place for reviews? Do you just grab one off the shelf by label? How do you do it?
>>8321563
I have a general idea of what I like and try some in that style. Like I wanted a nice French pinot noir to bring home for thanksgiving and took a chance on a 2015 that everyone liked.
Unless you have some helpful wine people or know your grapes/regions really well, its a bit of a guessing game. Rarely do I buy a wine I simply cant drink because I know I don't prefer heavier wines like Cab or really dry Champange.
>>8321563
Taste enough that you know of a varietal you like. Pick a price range. Try all of the wines in that category until you find your favorite.... or don't. Trying different wines all the time is an a-okay way to go. Is there a /wrong/ way to drink?
Vivino and a lot of luck whenever I go for the cheap stuff. For more expensive I just ask the expert in the liquor store for advice
