Grilled onions suck on burgers/sandwiches, raw or bust

>Grilled onions suck
thats why you caramelize them.
Like it takes 2hrs to caramelize, caramelize.
Having only the outside caramelized sucks also.

Post your best and easiest dishes.
It doesnt have to look good, all that matters is how it tastes.
Bonus points for fewer ingredients.

what is that? an egg?
Just got myself a new 14 litre stock pot, pic related.
Other than making huge batches of soup, chicken/beef stock, chilli con carne etc., what can I do with it?
It says it can fit a whole leg of lamb or a whole chicken but I don't know why you'd want to do that.
>>8330525
can it fit a whole camel hump
Good for brining chicken/turkeys, also making big batches of Glögg

>>8330515
I eat a fuck ton of tofu. I like baking it and then using it in stir fry, or even just sauteing it in a pan with some spices and sauces. It's easy and versatile.
Do you agree with this view, /ck/?
Also, general /ck/ philosophy thread, I guess.

Does anyone have this book? If so, is it good?
Or is it like every other lucky peach product... a meme?
>>8330070
I own it and like it but it's def. a meme. The problem with this book is that while everything in has been pretty good (so far, i've only made the miso hummus, the roasted vegetables with fish sauce vinegarette and the mushroom mapo tofu), the ironically bad photography doesn't make much of the food look appetizing enough to cook. Also, much of it seems like it'd be decent on top of pasta or as part of a "grain bowl", but very little of it seems like it'd be good as a meal on its own, so you kind of have to think of it that way (to their credit, they do mention this in the introduction)
I consider 101 easy asian recipes to be a better beginner/intermediate cookbook. But in terms of vegetarian dishes, I'd put it in the same categroy as april bloomfield "a girl and her greens" and ottelnghi's plenty/plenty more (slightly easier preparations than both, however). However, America's Test Kitchen vegetarian cookbook is a better "all purpose" veg cookbook (even if you're not a vegetarian).
>>8330084
yeah, I was looking at the videos on Lucky Peach's youtube and it was mostly complimentary parts of dishes rather than whole dishes. Which didn't seem so bad if you could pull it off and have it as a side dish with dinner.
But yeah, I was just looking for information on it, as the only way I have access to it, is to order it and I'm not really up for paying 50 dollarydoos for something that may not be sooo fantastic.
>>8330109
I assume it's $50 because you live somewhere weird and the shipping is exorbinant? Just buy the ebook.
How carcinogenic are fries?
What's the maximum amount and frequency you should eat them at?
hi op, take a frenchie fry and eat one per minute every minute for twelve years, then come back and report. keep a diary
love you,
mom
4.8 fries per day. That's for classic french fries, not curly.

What happened to Wendy's? never seen a restaurant hit rock bottom like this before.
I started going back to Wendy's recently. They're they currently have the best service hands down! and their food is better than Mcdonald's but maybe equal to Burger king. Problem with Burger King is the service. They have the absolute worst service. Usually useless tatted up niggers running shit over there and give me stale food (if they don't completely fuck up my order). Wendy's usually has more competent people with less of an attitude problem.
Wedys sucks lmao

>Make popcorn
>Pour on melted butter
>Gets all soggy
Am I stupid? I don't have a microwave, how to I get the flavor and keep the CRUNCH
>>8329346
Put your melted butter in a bowl and dip each piece of popcorn in as you eat them.
Use butter flavored PAM.
>>8329348
That sounds autistic enough that someone probably does it.
What do you think of expiry dates?
they're okay, i give them a 6/10
>>8328835
I like how they tell you when something expires.
It's nice to see that my herbs expire in 2020. I have plenty of thyme left.
Is this stuff as healthy as its made up to be?
its pretty much the only green veg (assuming it even is a 'green veg') I eat on a consistent basis anymore cause its the only one that really suits what I eat mostly these days and I'd like to think its giving me at least a reasonable amount of my weekly rec'd greenery as its routinely touted as some sort of magic food
>>8328805

How does /ck/ feel about rally's/checkers food now? I tried one of their 2 dollar boxes and it had some pretty poor mouth feel. The chicken felt fairly rubbery and chewy, and the fries were heavily salted and had TERRIBLE mouth feel.
I came back a couple days later and tried a rallyburger (no onions because I HATE the way they feel in my mouth) and it looked like it had been set in a puddle of oil. The grease made it hard to even keep in my mouth, which may have been fortunate since it had terrible mouth feel overall. The burger was charred and the bun was cracked, with oil dripping from the sides. I'm pretty sure I will never go to rallys again.
You're a cuck I eat Rallys/Checkers every day most times I get a Bif Buford and fries combo meal. pic related
Other times I get two Chili Cheeseburgers, a Spicy Chicken sandwich, and fries
It's always delicious and their fries are amazing you cuckaroo
Grew up on the stuff.
Favorite burger joint next to In-n-Out and Canada Steak Burger.
