McDonalds: Progressively awful
>>8395170
Yeah, but where else do you get your daily allowance of salt and saturated fats for just a dollar?
Where else do you see landwhales feasting on budget burgers?
the more they try to make things "healthy" the worse the brand becomes
you are cheap shitty food for old people and irresponsible parents that want their kids to shut up and eat something
stop pretending you are something else
My boss is letting me chose between one of these Japanese knives, which one should I choose?

>Japanese knives
He's telling you to commit sudoku, that's what makes the knives Japanese.

Which one feels better in your hand?
I have no fucking clue what I'm doing when I am in the apple section Walmart.
Can one of you fags rate the different varieties of apples from God Tier to Shit Tier (for eating, not cooking)?
Red Delicious
McIntosh
Golden Delicious
Gala
Granny Smith
Fuji
Braeburn
Pink Lady
Honeycrisp
We don't get McIntosh here in Bongistan, but depending on what you want:
Tart:
Granny Smith
Mellow:
Golden Delicious
Red Delicious
Gala
Pink Lady
Good balance of tart and sweet:
Braeburn
Fuji
Honeycrisp
I find a good crisp braeburn to be absolute god tier, but if they're old they can have a really shit texture. If they feel very firm you should be good to go, but why the fuck don't you just buy a couple apples from a few varieties when you go shopping and make the decision yourself?
>>8394565
>for eating
Pink Lady
Fuji
Honeycrisp
Braeburn
McIntosh
Gala
Granny Smith
Golden Delicious
Red Delicious
If you have to put "delicious" in the name, you know it's going to be shit.

God Tier: Granny Smith
Shit Tier:Everything else
How do millennials fall into the mind trap of thinking that home-cooked meals are more expensive than microwavable trash and fast food?
Nobody my age seems to know how to cook their own meals, nor do they want to, they honestly believe it's too expensive and not worth their time.
Where the fuck do they get these beliefs?
How do millennials fall into the trap of thinking they're special compared to other millennials?
Clearly it's the right wing neck beards you are associating with. I'm a successful as fuck, high test, bernie/hillary supporter, who pulls plenty of library up front, supports themselves, real business in the bedroom/in the rear grills lime scented punanies, and half of my god tier cooking inspiration comes from Chinese cartoons.
It's 2016. Even your president is a fucking inn keeper. Cooking is a man's game.
It's morning in Europe OP, keep the thread alive for 6 hours and you'll get som replies
You have some lunch tips for a guy with a rather nasty cold though?
Have a funny picture too faggot
Haven't had a drink all year. Currently leaning on buying a bottle of Stoli. I don't know much about alcohol. Is this a good choice? Am I boring and gey for wanting to drink vodka neat instead of whiskey? What would you recommend in the $35 area?
People I know dont like Stoli because they feel its too harsh for them. But fuck em. Thats what I like about Stoli, its got a nice kick. Tito's vodka is good for a smooth corn vodka, a liter here is $27
>>8394112
get sobieski instead
better than pidor rus swill
Nothing wrong with drinking straight vodka unless it comes out of a plastic handle and you're doing it in front of guests. I prefer Kettle One for the price range. Seagram's is highly drinkable if you want to go less expensive.
>detoxing and tonight is supposed to be a no booze night but currently on my third mug vodka
So I recently tried tilapia and flounder and really liked both of them (cooked in the pan, seasoned with lemon pepper), and would like to incorporate fish into my diet.
What are some things I can eat with fish to make it a full meal, also what other seasonings that are good to use? And what are some other mild fish I can try?
>>8393838
Vegetables and carbohydrates are a good start. Try some swordfish, but grill it if you can.
>>8393838
shrimp and scallops, if frozen, can be economical. look to pasta to accompany it.
Eat it with plain rice. Sub it as chicken in stews.
I made brownies.
325-350F for 30-40 minutes. (used a glass dish so it took a long time)
1 pack instant hot cocoa
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 handfuls of chocolate chips
A palmful of coarsely ground coffee
2 pinches of table salt
2 pinches of baking soda
1.25 sticks of butter
2 eggs
A splash of milk
3/4 cups of sugar
1/2 cups of flower
1 tsp nilla extract
>>8393553
I would add that you need the butter to be slightly warmed and very soft/near liquid.
>>8393553
>used a glass dish so it took a long time
What?
>>8393577
using glass slows baking by 5-10 minutes b/c of worse heat transfer properties.
What's the verdict on this? I got served it in a coffee once and told it had various health benefits. I've been putting it in my morning coffee for around the past 2-3 weeks, mainly because I like the taste, but haven't noticed anything physically different. Is it just another magical health meme food, or is there a genuine benefit to including it into your diet?
>>8392031
imho have used on dog's dry paws in winter
It's only beneficial if you're fat-adapted. Otherwise it's just extra calories.
>>8392031
I only use it on my skin and hair
ask a nigga who just bought a 550 dollar blender anything
How much did it cost?
What did you just buy?
>>8390187
Wow, that's a lot of money, what did you buy?
Is it bad to fry with olive oil, /ck/?
>>8387790

Yes idiot, your oil will burn and set off fire alarms
Lard and butter are the only types of grease that should be used in cooking
Olive oil for salass and shit
It's time to settle this once and for all.

So /ck/, Christmas is nearly here. Does /ck/ have anything planned with family or having christmas by yourself? What dish are you looking forward to the most out of the day? For me, it's the choc ripple cake. Have a merry Christmas.

my family sucks at cooking just like everything else.
Hello /ck/ whats your favorite cold time drink. Please be specific. Mine is a simple one, hot chocolate (milk plus sundae syrup), 2 espressos, cinnamon, shot of fireball. Warms me right up.
Post your favorite warm up drink.
Pic related. It's "red wine hot chocolate." Has anyone tried this? They make it sound good but in my head it sounds disgusting, I like wine but they don't belong with hot chocolate.
>>8397597
For me it is the blended McChicken, the best warm up drink.
>>8397606
sounds disgusting
Some swedish friends introduced me to this glugg wine or so, others know of a thing called glue wine, but anyway
The swedish was was reaaaally nice, hot, with lots of spices, and it warms you right up
Comfy

(Nordic anons please correct me if I'm wrong)
Yesterday I decided to marinade chicken breast in milk and lime juice. When I got to it today there the milk had turned to curd. I said fuck it and made my dinner anyways. It tasted amazing, best chicken of my life, but ever since I finished it I have been keeled over in pain, shitting liquid and food chunks while ready to throw up at any second.
Am I going to die?
>>8396585
That's not funny, I'm scared out of my mind. Do I need to call poison ?
>>8396596
Why call them? You already ate it.
