Hey, /biz/. It's storming hard as fuck and I close t'night at work. It's at least 8 miles of roads without lighting on the 30 minute commute to work, and the storming isn't supposed to let up by the time I leave.
It's a min. wage job and I honestly don't want to risk my life being drowsy and driving on dark, stormy roads.
Should I just call out for the shift with a bs excuse? It'll still count as a no-call no-show since you can't call out without a replacement and I can't get one on such short notice.

I work for a small business that sells fold o mats to walmart as a driver.
Issue here is I get paid minimum wage to do both the work of a sales rep and the driver but recently my boss has been telling me that I'll start getting paid based on the sales I make. Which is complete bullshit in my opinion because I'm just a driver. I'm already underpaid to be doing the work I do and now I feel that he's trying to short me of my pay.
What I wanna know is he allowed to make up whatever pay rate he wishes?

I don't personally do my own taxes, but rather through a family accountant and I found out last year I failed to file my tax return through my family. This year my tax returns were filed and I was given my usual refund; nothing out of the ordinary. What are the repercussions? I normally get a refund and this year has been no different, but there hasn't been anything about last year from the CRA

Hello, I really want to become an financial analyst or advisor, or something like that. I was wondering if these jobs still existed for someone who gets a finance degree from a okay college(West Virginia University) and maybe a CFA. I plan on interning every summer though, and maybe joining national guard. Also, are there any finance jobs you could get outside of New York City and Chicago that pay alright(60k to 70k).
