Finance majors: Do you remember how to do expectations hyptothesis?

Say I have to figure out the 2 year rate in one year and the following rates are as follows

Term Rate
1 1.31%
2 3.21%
3 5.56%

Now I'm wondering how do I solve for this?

How hard is finance? Is there any way I could double major in it with electrical engineering or is that just too much work. I have doubts about my field, I made a mistake and fell for the stem scam.

How old is too old to work? One of my coworker graduated with electrical engineering in 1965 and yet still works. He's probably 75 years old now. How common is this in your workplace?

Depends what you need, for example Executives are older because they have experience, as an intern no chance, also the compony, in AUS they are offering tax incentives for companies to hire older people.

I am graduating with a finance degree. I am going to be graduating with honors and "outstanding graduating student award"; how hard would it be to get an entry level marketing job, as this is really what I want to do with my life. I took like 3 marketing classes while I was in school.

not a bad way to go especially if you hate accounting bullshit. you should work for 2 years max and apply to business schools.. MBA programs love finance and marketing combined that's when you'll get a good marketing job not a coffee fetching gofer bitch. if you're female invest in kneepads

I am graduating from a pretty small school; I really enjoy marketing and I'm really good at it, I have some finance experience through a banking internship last summer. I don't have any student loans and don't really have to worry about too much; just rent for like 600 a month or so and basic living expenses

Would it be stupid to just buy Amazon and Nvidia and sell them within a few months time to get more funds to play with?

You're under the assumption that you'll have a profit in a few months' time. If it were that easy, everyone would be rich.

So, yes, you're idea is not very smart.

I'm 22 just got my GED gigantic resume. I feel like it's impossible to stay ahead. I'm negative with every bank but Regions and I constantly take out Amscot loans. Rent a center has been screwing me I'm being forced to pay for a $3000 laptop I returned months ago. So that's $400 a month. Feels impossible to make $2000 a month (what I need to live comfortable) 38th my girlfriend. Even when I was working 2 jobs barely breaking $300 a week. All jobs here just pay minimum wage. Any tips?
8 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
why are you buying a 3000 dollar laptop or even in a position to use one.

stop taking out loans you literal retard. you were 22 with no debt and you didn't take advantage of that and now you fucked yourself.

get a minimum wage job work 40 hours a week.

how are you not breaking 300 a week with 2 jobs you must be either working no hours or you must be retarded.

lose your ego. work any job. lower your cost of living and stop touching valuable items you can't afford.

Pretty much, last guy who tried had his head blown off. Besides usury runs the world now, US Fed is just a branch office of the BIS in Switzerland. It's an enormous matrix that if was ever seriously threatened, would just start another world war effectively putting a gun to everyones head.

Anyone else gone through brainwashing by chic fil a & think they need to be *cough* f__ked by *cough* introduced to federal law? More curious how many peeps woke up to their $h!t & want to jack the video surveillance & make it public what they really do when you stand up for basic human rights, like using a fing bathroom.

I have been debating as to working for Enterprise as a Management Trainee. I had bad grades in college and it seems like a good jumping off point where they teach you a lot about different aspects of business and you can get into a management position within a year or two.
My dad worked with them in the 80's and was able to make $250k/yr when I was younger and said its a great opportunity but he is also more charismatic than me.

Has anyone here ever worked for them?

I currently part time as a service agent and all I can tell you is that being an MT sucks. And that it's a high stress environment
>>
>>1223774
That's what I've read from other websites, high stress, long hours, low pay

I don't care about those things though, I guess a better question is; are there actually opportunities for upward mobility or is it just Enterprise shilling that makes it seem that way?
>>
>>1223769

You might as well, they'll take anyone. You'll need to smooze and kiss-ass a ton, but that's true anywhere.

What is opportunity cost and the time value of money? I don't understand it.
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Opportunity cost is the cost of participating in the opportunity.

The time value of money is how much your time is worth in money.
>>
In the amount of time you spent waiting for an answer, you could've done something to make a bigger profit.
>>
>>1223767

Opportunity cost is the what it cost you to invest in Option A, when you could have invested into option B

Should I open a Capital One 360 account?

If not, what is better?

Currently have a Chase checking account, thinking of doing 360 checking + savings and dropping the Chase.
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
alternatively, is having a savings with one company but a checking with another company a bad idea?
>>
Checking:
A local brick and mortar with a zero fees checking account that actually has check writing privileges is best. Any issues or if I need a cashiers check or something I can just walk in and do business.

Savings:
Online high interest savings for the rest. I'd recommend Barclays or Synchrony bank.

.. and no it's not a bad idea to use different banks. You can wire the money back and forth from your checking account for free up to 6 times a month with both savings accounts I mentioned.
>>
>>1224014
What about sending money from checking to savings? Is this an unlimited & no-fee type of transaction? Also is it a 2-day process or instant, and does that vary by whether it's same-company or not?

If I had a big amount of cash in the bank, say $500k. What would be the best way to turn this into passive income? Doesn't have to be totally passive, it could take a couple of hours a week or such.

Who is that semon demon from days gone by?

Buy the dips I reckon. Or invest in essentials and staples, oil, food, juice and so on, live on small stipends?
>>
>>1223723
Take 500k and use it as padding for your knees while you suck cock (just a couple hours a week)
>>
>>1223744
I made this mistake in the past with 100k. It wasn't passive or enough padding to make it comfortable.

I was thinking more like dividend paying stocks or managed real estate. Bonds?
