How do you know if you have a shitty job or work for a shitty company?
>First job as financial analyst
>constantly adding additional responsilities
>getting to the point of being overwhelmed
>constant stress
Is this normal for this role? Only clue: high turnover rate.
>>1631034
are they leaving because the company sucks, or are they finding better opportunities elsewhere?
>>1631034
>constantly adding additional responsilities
ask for a raise
>>1631073
Mostly better opportunities. One girl I know of left because another company paid more with less responsibilities.
i've decided to drop out of my degree in classics and philosophy and start from the bottom of a career in the food industry
is this a bad idea?
having a degree in liberal arts has the same job prospects as no degree and i'd rather have years worth of experience in a craft which can be made use of in any country
i thought it's better to drop out now than in a years time when i'd end up with more debt and nothing to show for it
finish your degree you idiot.. which uni

I've been lurking 4chan for a couple of months, 99% of the time on on /biz. Who gives a fuck about anything beside money and career right.
I noticed some /pol references so I checked it out and it was disappointing. I'm really wondering that most of the people there and some other (/) have limited capacity mentally. Like totally out of balance in life. But I guess we need those kind of people to milk 'm dry (monetize).
Just wanted to share my first experiences about 4chan and it's users.
>>1630946
I've been thinking about how to monetize /pol.
Obviously you have to play on their love of all traditional stuff and fear. Preppers websites, tools and goods work.
I imagine getting some turkish factory in germany to make you some average boots and marketing them as "Made in Germany military grade boots" will cause a buying frenzy from /pol
>>1630981
I browse /pol/ and your idea is beyond autistic. We could buy cheap surplus military boots or anything from an established brand. Literally who would buy your shitty prepper boots.
>>1630946
>I've been lurking 4chan for a couple of months
dropped
>s&p hit 2,200
Why the fuck did you faggots tell me it would crash?
>listening to children with their 4-figure robinhood accounts
not even once
>>1630932
>tfw bought s&p two years ago in an EUR ETF and now it is 20% up
I mean, it is really only 50EUR gain but still. Now if only Europe 600 would fucking finally started rising.
>>1630960
You invested $200???
For what purpose
I really need help here. I am not receiving my paycheck two days late and my employer and bank have no idea why. I have rent due tomorrow and I'll for sure be evicted if I can't pay it because we're already late after my roommate just left one day. I have no credit history from my parents telling me not to get loans or credit cards because they ruined their credit. I keep getting turned down for payday loans. What other options do I have?
>>1630876
You need to save up money for this
>>1630876
Okay, i'm really sorry, i can't help you with your problem but theres one thing i want to tell you. Get a credit card. asap. Get one where you have to pay them the amount you owe them at the end of the month. Start building credit now. This is important for your future.
Move to norway you trashbag
Ok /biz, I took your advice and got my first whore.
>Whore shows up
>Says I need to pay upfront
>Ok, I guess. Thought thats normal
>Hands over $100
>"Thanks, bye"
>wut.jpg
>Only options are rape charges, assault charges, or letting it happen
>fuck my life
Not a virgin but the only women Ive dated have been rape victims with 0 sex drive who put me down for wanting sex.
I cant even pay for sex. To make things worse, I had to work right after and now Im stuck here for 8 hours trying not to break down
Should I just end it now /biz?
>>1630847
Look on the bright side:
You have a job (even if you hate it)
Not a virgin
These two alone put you ahead of 75% of the posters here
Also, as a bonus, this experience will ensure you'll probably never waste money on whores ever again.
>>1630847
I can imagine it feels shitty, but its just your pride and $100. Have some perspective.
The good thing is that it brings you closer to understanding business. You saw first hand how quickly master becomes slave when money changes hands.
Must suck living in a country without AW and a forum that reviews whores from AW
It's a buyers market in bongland
About a month ago I asked on here for "boring" stocks I could buy to balance all the flashy tech and commercial companies I owned.
I got some decent advice, but the one stock that stuck out to me was good ole' American Steel ($X). Doesn't get much more boring and simple as that.
Then Donald Trump began to make America great again and this shit happened.
I just wanted to let whoever gave me that tip to know I deeply appreciate it. Next stop: The Moon.
>>1630842
Cash out before Trump fails to follow through.
>>1630842
hi, im the guy that gave you the tip. i recommended X as a joke but it looks like it worked out for you. good luck.
steel stocks are cyclical. I'd take profit before it crashes back down again.
How's everyone's portfolio's, what trends do you follow?
I exclusively follow memes
My portfolio is empty right now, threw everything I had at the DCIX bubble and won big, now I'm looking for some boring stuff to ride out in the long run.

well played, OP.

You fell for one, didn't you?
>>1630768
Because they get passionate about something that usually fucks poor bastards who fall for it over. Also literal cancer.
Hey anyone interested in a /biz/ meetup on Wednesday night?
Great place called brass rail on Persian ave or drive, in sunnyvale, ca.

My younger sister graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Mathematics meanwhile I've worked as a waiter and jerk to hentai
>>1630539
I'm 23 and after 3 years in University am still barely at second year Engineering level
If I'm lucky I can graduate when I'm 25
Everybody I know who's my age is already graduated and is working full time
>>1630539
don't kill yourself untill she gets a job with that degree
>>1630589
Don't worry about that really bro. Just accept the time frame and do your best to make the most of it. When I first started at college I fucked around for two years and got nothing done, then finally got on track to graduate around 20 y/o now I'm on my last year at 24 going to finish up in May.
At first, being so behind sucked, but as time went on a lot of my friends started fucking up in their own lives and now I'm graduating before some of them even are. And either way, comparing your lives to your friends can be dumb. As long as you aren't bullshitting yourself and actually putting in the time and effort to reach your goals then there's no reason to feel shame or embarrassment about being on a different time frame than others. 25 is still young - hell if you don't have kids/get married then 30 is still fucking pretty young!
is /biz/ a good place to get advice and shit or do you just shitpost?
>>1630443
Most people shitpost, but the best advice I've got was from this board. If you want to dive into Mt. Shit to try and find the billion dollar diamond, by all means, go ahead.
>>1630475
do you know where i can get some advice?
>>1630479
What are you trying to figure out?
So you think it's unprofessional to admit in an interview that you're willing to take a salary hit when moving from one job you hate to the one you'd like more?
Does it make you like a cuck numale beta if you adming you're willing to take less money for a more comfy job?
pic related, comfy
>>1630434
yes, it is stupid
>have more experience in field
>lower salary
>>1630439
yeah but I'm in a up-or-out consulting company with layoffs looming ahead and I know for a fact that industry jobs don't pay that much for IT jobs than my current one
I don't have any high profile high salary industry exit prospects either
>>1630482
IT is seeming like a harder and harder field to get a job in.. starting to get me worried about my information security degree I'll be finishing in may. any thoughts from your perspective?
who /buys peaks, sells dips/ here?
>>1630014
you I assume. I just hold and go down with the ship.
>>1630104
Had to sell 50% had on a margin and couldn't risk anymore, rest I'm bag holding for year+
Did the DUDE WEED meme go too far?
All weed stocks down 50%+ this week
I'm an active graphics design artist, but what I've noticed is that my supplier makes around 4x more money then what I'm being paid.
Ex:
>Shirt costs 20 dollars
>I markup the price by 25%
>Shirt costs 25 dollars
>I only earn the amount of markup, so only 5 dollars while company runs away with 20$
>Company earns 4x more than me
This not only pisses me off but thinks that I'm being taken advantage of as well as a bunch of other designers who use this website.
>inb4 "Muh its ur supplier"
I get it, but what could I do to earn more income, esp. as a graphics designer?
One suggestion I heard was to mass advertise a shirt design on facebook, make normies pre-order, buy cheap shirts from China, sell at profit/loss, get normies to mass share, and get earnings from that instead of some company getting 75% of my earnings.
Will it work? How 2 earn more as a graphics designer?
>>1629843
>graphic design
>valuable
I'd be happy about the 5$ you're getting when you don't run the biz. Graphic design is shit and a meme, next to no added value. T shirts are a commodity now unless you can get in a niche like a one time sports event but the you have six months tops for demand. The shirts are gonna cost 5-10$ at the lowest for shit quality. It's a waste of time no offense
You don't understand the concept of revenue vs profit, do you?
The company has costs outside the cost of the shirt that factor into that $20. They probably only make $10, if that, per shirt.
>>1629843
what supplier? you talking about threadless and places like that? becasue yeah you will only get about 20% although you can change the markup
looking into the China supply is a good idea, then you get them off to the printers and pay only for the printing
