> real estate is in an imaginary place
I had a friend give me a "tip" to buy some real estate in Atlanta.
Like I'm going to buy some property in an underwater city that probably doesn't even exist.
>showing interest in the arts
I want a home goddammit.
Which league should I buy a team in
>>1633137
IF you dont' have anything specific in mind,
just buy the bigger fish ie: media network
or one of the insurance companies or banks that owns the stadium
>>1633145
They sponsor the stadium for name sake. They dont own it.

On January 18, 2007, it was announced that the arena would be called Barclays Center, after London-based banking group Barclays. It was reported that the banking and financial services company agreed to pay the team $400 million over the next 20 years for the naming rights of their Brooklyn home,[36] eclipsing the previous record for naming rights to an American indoor arena, set by Royal Philips Electronics in 1999, for $185 million over 20 years for Philips Arena in Atlanta. However, the rights were renegotiated by the end of 2009, and are somewhat more than $200 million.[37][38] Barclays does not have any retail banks in the US and does not have its own ATMs in the arena.[39]
fair enough.
why would barclay do this, i dont get it
Is being rich and not famous boring? It seems like it is half the fun of being rich is having people treat you better
>>1633121
If youre rich you can become famous if you want.
>>1633121
Fuck the famous part, that's just a hassle.
But a lot of being rich is having people charge you a lot for shit because they figure you can afford it/want a piece.
>>1633132
This, fuck being famous unless you really want it. Being rich is the freedom to do almost anything in the world you want, because you have the money for it. Normal laws don't even apply to you for the most part (ex. Trump)
All discussion of shady business welcome.
Who here /counterfeit/? I'm thinking of getting into it. What channels does one use to sell them? Standard craigslist/eBay? How risky is it?
counterfeit is already taken by china
>>1633116
That's where you get the products, silly
I have a different counterfeit idea
In my city we have a pass system to get on public transport. I spend $60 a week on public transport, if you dont have a pass and are stopped by an officer, the take your name and you get sent a fine in the mail, then they give you a cardboard card which lets you get off that train/no get charged again later in the journey.
I have on the cards, and would like to print out like 500+, because that would mean never having to pay anymore and if i do get stopped by an officer and say yeah ive already been fined.
How can i print out 300+ cards with no questions asked they are really quite basic and dont have any special things on them
Why is black Friday legal. Thanksgiving is a national holiday. Work should be illegal on Thursday, and retail extends black Friday well into Thursday, usually 6pm.
The idea itself is bullshit retail workers suffer enough
>>1633084
The government doesnt dictate at all when people can or cant work
>>1633084
As a retail worker, the job itself is grueling and tedious by dealing with the slime of the public.
But's rewards are great, considering this is one of the few weeks I'll get double time pay for thanksgiving(To which is voluntary) and overtime, which is rare for my company.
>>1633088
I get 1.5 time +$1 but only before midnight. After that it's just normal pat it's terrible
Mi name is Miguel and the next year I'm moving to the great USA (LEGALLY). And I want to make buen dinero chingón (good money). And the first thing that comes to my mind is to work as a Coca cola or Pepsi, truck driver. I have a bachelor's degree in marketing, but I think it's useless there. How much will I be earnig hourly? Thank you
You need a cdl first off.
>>1633052
May as well be a stripper.
Look at all those singles
Id be more concerned with just getting a cdl and experience first before thinking any specific company will hire you
I've got an idea. Majority of our workforce is centered in useless services (don't create wealth) while only a fraction are in industry and farming (creates wealth), which makes sense considering automatization.
So is unemployment a big issue? Why don't just work in factories/fields in shifts (eg. Some people work for one month and then another shift is taking their place) so everyone could benefit from automatization by working less and receiving more. Instead of forcing people to take useless job or die from starvation.
Is this idea retarded?
>>1632924
>automatization

Get out communist, go back to Belarus

Hey guys, I´m looking to buy few vending machines from this website: made-in-china.com . How do I actually place an order ?
Also any advise regarding the issue will be appreciated
I love helping the mentally disabled.. Click contact now.
>>1632894
My first time doing this, I´ve already sent them email, but all I got was their catalog. How do I actually proceed to payments ?
>>1632906
Did they personally reply to your email, or were you redirected to their catalog after submitting the form?
In email, tell them you want x quantity of y item by z date. If they keep dicking you around in email correspondence, find another vendor.
which will crash and which will moon?
>>1632763
Let me just get out of my crystal ball and predict prices in a highly speculative market... Hmmm hmmm let's see here.
I'm always astounded by the simplistic black and white thinking on /biz/. To dah moon. Pump. Dump. Bull trap. Bear Trap. Dead Cat Bounce. Buy the dip! Get on the train! Harmless buzzwords on any other board but spouted here as serious financial advice. It's like you guys have picked up a few legit phrases and are now role playing seasoned stock brokers.
Everyone can be rich with hindsight.

OGI for partnering with beloved east coast heroes rather than some american darkie.
>Company A buys Company B for $40billion
>Buys x-number of shares becoming majority shareholder.
Now that Company A owns Company B, did they not just pay themselves $40billion dollars?
Yes now you are responsible for running said company and increasing its value to actually make any profit.
Also when one company buys millions of shares of a company to take control of it, which shareholders get a piece of that? Like, which 51% of random shareholders sell their shares and which 49% get diddly squat?
>>1632708
Its not pure cash. Lets say company A buys company B. Shareholders of company B are paid in pure cash.
Company A get equity (assets and so on) but has no money. If you want to turn equity into "pure money" you have to sell it.
In other words - can you do it? Yes you can but you can't make a positive return becouse you didn't buy just buildings etc, but you also bought stuff like their logo etc. and you can't really sell it.
Only way you can make money that way if company is really going down (huge debt) and you pay it off (banks want their shekels).
But there is a reason why that company is going belly under etc.
So I am 23 (made this Nov), I have my 6 month emergency cash, and I am looking to invest 10k € in Bitcoin.
What would be the smartest way to go about it? Should I buy in a period of e.g 6 months? Should I buy all at once?
Buy AMD stock

guess this is a joke?
How can one profit off of the death of non-online retail?
some details
http://www.businessinsider.com/death-of-the-american-mall-2016-2
http://money.cnn.com/2016/11/16/news/dead-mall-photos-seph-lawless/
Instead of reading bullshit articles with less than questionable sources and assumptions why not figure out which public holding companies own which malls and hit the streets. find out what storefronts they house in their malls and since most are public you'll be able to scour their 10k's to see which companies have profitable storefronts. Start connection the dots from there by asking which holding companies house the highest concentration of losers. Other variables to consider are region, the cyclical aspect of some stores, and how diversified said holding company is. Does their retail space have high turnover? What percentage of their storefronts are unoccupied and for how long? I guess from there if you find anything conclusive you could start building a short position. But that's a lot of work for a long shot. I don't think malls are going down fast enough to make a play.
AMZN all in

What would you do, if this happens to you? And by that I mean, how do you pay no taxes (probably illegal) or the least amount of taxes (legally) in your home country?
I would just try to stash it away and live off of it, only cashing out what I need and hoping nobody notices the additional income. No fancy cars or yachts or shit like that. Just a little better living.
>>1632625
In the US, you'd have to declare it as income in the year that you found it. I suppose you could try to pretend that you found it several stashes over the course of several years and report the income over a number of years. This would reduce the amount subject to the tax at the highest tax bracket, but you'd still be paying quite a bit in taxes.
>>1632625
PAY TAXES HAH
Evade you fucking retard taxation is theft
What business news shows do you watch?

Why do illegal aliens think they have a right to invade and stay in America? It seems like an open secret or an open joke that theres illegals everywhere and no real effort to stop them
How could it ever be controversial for Trump to haul their asses out of the country when theyre illegal?
About to build my 5th and god willing my last foundry for a long time. Not my most favorite idea for my next /biz. But I seemingly have a lot more going for me than most normal anons for various reasons.
>near unlimited access to free rock screenings (lime stone dust) or can buy sand at cost and haul free assuming i build a screen.
>can order palette loads of bentonite gel
>can buy a meter and plug directly into a natual gas well a buddy has
>can buy several tons of aluminum at scrap price as the nearest scrap yard is 30 minutes away and i have friends that crash the shit out of stock cars on a dirt track. They typically stock pile aluminum car bodies and radiators until the price is good or they do some spring cleaning.
>i've heavily researched shreaders and bailers and i am confident i can build both along with a sand muller.
>making large ingots for manufactuing may be 3rd world teir shit pay still but it would also be for a hobby.
>can make large lawn statues or other art and have it anodized.
>my friends already want a 6 foot anodized party hooka with like 25 hoses and ball valves for the non used ones. Will have small shelves for alchahol wipes and various herbs to be srored. Will have half a dozen bowls and valves on the side of the hookah so you can choose what to smoke without reloading. I dont partake but i may try a tabacco or other non drug hit for luls.
>i hear the best concrete lawn sculpture molds are aluminum and i am interested in making the custom yard art as well.
>there is a place up the road that runs through massive brass bushings at an alarming rate. After hearing what they pay i almost had a heart attack. If my machinist and i can near match the quality then those bushings alone will fund this entire thing.
1/2
I want to fund this with a little more than craft show tier shit.
Possibly find a sculptor and make actual bronze statues or busts and the like.
I am by no means a professional yet but if i can find a way to make this pay for itself and make some cool shit then it will be enough. Anything else is going to reinvesting in the biz or real estate.
Thoughts? Input or criticism? I have some /biz and foundry experience and i know im not getting rich over night. But making a bronze statue of anything I want is a cool conversation to have with people i would think. Or a large water fountain of bob saget or some random ass shit like that. If it does take off i can do all sorts of goofy shit for fun and pranks.
Buddy leaves for vacation. Comes home to find a 500 pound brinze bust of Milo Yannanananapolis blocking his front door with a plaque that says something about how him and my bro are gay together.
And before the claims of autism I can assure you that I am a dedicated troll and will spend months just to pull off some goofy shit.
*Sets concrete pig in front of copshop.
*turns 360° and walks away.
Any ideas on what else would sell?
I have considered getting a drill press and making bulky brass fitting and such but i really don't know.
TLDR. I read "pranks and funny shit." If this is your mission don't expect to be taken seriously as a business.
>>1632584
>side mission.
Yeah that is the gist of it. For strangers and the online community i will have my marketing and english major bros help me look and be legitimate. I already had a biz and have a cpa. The pranks are onlybif there os tine and give a fuck. Main goal is always freedon from wagecuckery but u gotta have fun.
