No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform. -- (also learn difference between LIMIT and MARKET orders!!!)

thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want a 2nd account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Is it too far-fetched to learn programming from scratch and git gud enough to be able to work remotely in, say, two years of constant work?

I'm a wage-slave in a third world country so working remotely for a company in a rich country would be a dream come true.

Hey biz,

I can't believe I'm posting this here. I need a Green Card, and I'm planning to get it using the $500k investment method. Here's the problem, I only have $650. I have until next summer to turn it into $500,000. What the fuck do I do to make that happen so I don't go back to my third world shithole?

Also, once I reach $10,000 I'll have access to another $50,000. So that's a little help. My other assets include about $3,000 worth of books but I think I'd get like $1000 tops if I try to sell them.

Help a fellow biznessman.

How many other people in Canada have noticed there are 2 types of fast food places.

1. Mix of random people, mostly young.

2. Homogeneous group of some variety of south american or east asian middle aged women all speaking a language other than English between themselves.

Are we doing our society any good by keeping this program going? On one hand we are producing something cheaper, on the other we are driving wages and working conditions down by importing non-demanding competition.

I can see an industry like Ag where our produce must compete on a world market, we could not simply eat the cost of higher production and business would fail, but for something like fast food it seems absurd, the produce only needs to compete in Canada. Even with Ag if we cannot produce apples or whatever at a competitive price maybe we should not be producing them.

So two questions. Would it be a net economic gain, and would it be a net social gain to end this program? Defend your choice with your reason.

If have a 130k fed student loan debt for a jd and I make 85k starting in NYC, why shouldn't I just ride out the income based payment plans and just work with the money I save from not going on a standard payment plan and eat the tax bomb when it comes up?

Hey /biz/ wanted you to weigh in on a question I have.

I am currently a student in my senior year of college for mechanical engineering with a minor in nuclear science and a minor in computer science.

I am looking at a piece of property I would like to purchase when I graduate for 209K. It is a subdivision with 1 large lot and 10 small cottages. There are significant repairs to do on the property. The property however is very close to my commute, and I think it will increase in value significantly. I would live in the large house, while repairing or tearing down the small houses.

I have experience working with building codes and managing contractors as I managed construction on my fathers house this last summer.

I have calculated I will need around 45K to make a 20% down payment including taxes, fees, etc. My father will help my by giving me a no interest loan of 20K.

Here is the problem, I will have around 40K in student loan debt upon graduation. Two 5 year loans which payments will begin 1 year after I graduate, and two 10 year loans which will begin 5 years after I graduate.

My credit score is currently 740, and I will have a job that will pay 80-85K before taxes.

Will I even be able to qualify for this mortgage if I can get the money together for the 20% down payment? Anyone have experience with this?

I want more money. I am from a southern state and I'm not sure on where to go right now in life. I am settled at my parent's house and have $5k in my savings. Planning on investing in a car sometime next year or moving out. Neither of those are realistic right now. I'm 22 and have two jobs. Here's some info:

>$8/hr, 2 years working
>full time
>experience with welding, plumbing, and electrical in that order

>buffalo wild wings
>$9.50/hr, 2 months
>part time
>only working here for money; plenty of cooking experience at home but would rather not cook for a living

>misc. jobs, none last over a year
>$7.25 to $8/hr
>part time
>experience is cashier, cooking or unloading trucks (lol)

What do I do? I can't find any job that pays higher than $9.50. Assembly line jobs are going out of business around here.
