I heard that the College bubble is burst when the market crashes just like houses did in the Recession.

How can I take advantage of the situation?

I don't think securitized collage loans make a significant portion of the market.

A big difference is that you can't walk away from student loans like you can a bad mortgage. That debt haunts a muthfukka

>Be PXD
>Have 80-90% of assets in Wolfcamp TX
>20 bn barrels of oil discovered in Wolfcamp TX
>Share price hasn't appreciated ridiculously despite that fact
>U.S. could abandon Petrodollar if oil imports are cut, causing rise in U.S. oil barrel value
>SA and rest of OPEC will probably cut production, so oil price rise is inevitable.

Why is this not the play of the century? Also, note, this is not a microcap scam... it's a large cap company. I don't own any, but might purchase some in the next 72 hours.

Do they own any land where the oil was discovered?

What is the cause of their previous quarterly losses?

I just discovered the company today. I can't say that I have done enough DD to render an opinion on its specific financial state. Although I will be doing DD concurrent with the life of this thread though. All I know about the land that they own is that they call it (or it's called) Wolfcamp A and Wolfcamp B, which compose 80% and 90% of their operations respectively. Also I read an article that said that PXD owns the most Wolfcamp land, which would make it second to the top in terms of potential oil repository ownership.
>>
>>1626709
Pioneer Natural Resources Co. is the largest producer in Wolfcamp, holding over 800,000 acres of land. As of 2015, Pioneer was producing over 112 thousand barrels of oil per day. Pioneer believes the basin could hold as much as 75 billion barrels of oil, significantly more than the survey claims. If Pioneer were to take advantage of resources available they would solidify their position as the second largest producer in the world, second to majors in Saudi Arabia.

according to -> https://finance.yahoo.com/news/oil-majors-scrambling-acreage-booming-190000591.html

I'm going to guess that their quarterly losses were due to the fall in oil price, and the fact that they've more than doubled production since 2011 (which could be fan-fuckingtastic if oil rises)

Sup /biz/. I'm a electrical engineering student and I'm looking to work on a project that I and another friend of mine have great faith in. I've done a few hackathons and startup competitions and I know how easy it can be to get up and running with an idea. I just have trouble finding people to work with me. Even finding computer science students can be difficult but I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to find people who are studying business that are interested. Does anyone have any method to networking with people in college? Any advice would be helpful.

what's your idea or is it top secret?

>>1626471
I'm a CompSci student, I'm also trying to get a few startup idea up and running asap, I fucking love the idea of owning or even working in a startup, I might be able to help you if you want...
But as for your question on how to network, you just have to talk to people, I met a software dev at apple on the first day, shit happened and now were friends, I'm quite positive thats a good connection right? Just dont be an autist.
>>
>>1626486
I'd rather not say just because I'm amazed it doesn't exist yet.
>>1626612
Yeah I get what you're saying. I like to think I'm fairly non-autistic but it seems to be hard meeting people in my college because everyone sticks to their own group of friends. I'm mainly looking for people who are in a similar area so unless you live in Dublin I'm afraid it's a no go. Thanks anyway.

Well never thought of that. Does it actually work? I always see YouTubers who basically do the same content living together in houses. I'd like to do the same with fishing bros. Have a few flat screens in the living room for watching sports. Basement full of video games and man cave. Big cool house we all split together. But sadly, my interests aren't what other people's interests are my age. They're into talking about fluid genders and how to be a top tier faggot. I'm more into sports and going /out/ and hobbies. All of my friends are 10-20 years older than me with families of their own. They wouldn't be interested in my plan.

How do you think future historians will reflect back on this era of Cryptocurrencies?

The exponential takeoff in price of BTC. The maniacs buying the top with their entire life savings and college funds before it tanks just as quickly. The suicidal posts in the aftermath. The high profile hacks and thefts. The autists arguing with other autists endlessly about which coin to buy when and which coin is superior to which other coin. The endless shilling. The endless stream of new coins popping up, being pumped, dumped and then disappearing into obscurity to never be heard of again. The crazy levels of volatility in price swings. The huge warehouses filled with ASIC mining farms. The Millionaires. The bankrupt. The Scams and the memes. Just reflect for a moment, it all seems a bit absurd, doesn't it?

I guess it depends entirely on how all this plays out. Will they be calling you cunts insane geniuses that had the insight and fortitude to embrace the next global reserve currency who made Millions? Or will they write you off as delusional loons that were playing make believe with pretend money left holding nothing but Tulip bulbs?

Similar to the beginning of the internet? In fact it might even be part 2 of some sort of book where the early years of the internet is part 1.

Of course it will also play a large part in the story of the coming financial shitstorm.

Thanks for the reminder to document the early days of this new era. Could be worth a decent book.

registration of a business takes three possible forms:

2. registering a trademark
3. filing articles of incorporation

Hey guys/goys

Just received word that I will be receiving an inheritance of 34k USD in february. I will also be cashing in some matured bonds within the month so by February I should have a total of 37k USD fairly suddenly. Any taxes on the inheritance have already been handled by the exector.

I was wondering if any of you have been in a similar situation and how you handled it/may have done it differently. My current plan is:

>Buy a couple bitcoins to hold because meme magic
>set aside 3.5-5k to travel this summer with a friend (southeast asia to keep it cheap)

this leaves me with about 30k left. I was thinking of two options:

>take 6-8k and putting it in a savings account to incur future moving costs/emergency money as i will be graduating college and potentially relocating (no student debt). Then put the rest in a vanguard acc. and forget about it
>or do the same but put it in laddered cd accounts so i can withdraw 1,2,3,4 years without penalties

pic related my reaction

I think you have the right plan. 5k to Vaycay/snort hookers off cocaine's ass, and 5k emergency fund. Since you'll be just out of school, maybe make that closer to 10K, as you may be wandering around without a stable salary for a year.

The rest I would invest in aggressive stocks and or ETFs. If you get a little luck, 27k or so invested wisely now could triple itself or more with ten years. The high five-figure amount is your best bet as a down payment on your first home.

Final tip: As soon as you make money, move an equal amount of cash over to a Roth IRA. The max each year is $5500, and you should basically be matching that income with IRA investments funded by your inheritance.

Free money when you're young kicks so much ass. I got 70K as a Freshman in highschool, and through strategy and luck, have used it to cut the amount I need to work to succeed by 80% or more.
>>
On a similar note to OP:

I'm 24 and have $14k cash saved up from constantly adding my surplus at the end of the week over to my savings. I've thought lately if I double that money, would it be worth buying a investment property ($100-150k) that worst case if it doesn't work out I keep as a second home? Or should I just start putting it all into a CD or Roth IRA immediately?

I'm not a fan of the latter option honestly, scared I'll die in the next 20-30 years and just have a bunch of money saved up that I'll die with.
>>
>>1626313

My tip: start early in the morning.
>>
>>1626198
I do arch viz from home. I go into an office once a week on average to meet clients and collect materials for new leads. I do the work early morning or late at night.

I also have a day job to keep me busy. I get bored doing the same thing all day and cant sit inside for 8+hours. Work also comes in waves.

Keeping to a strict schedule will make your time profitable, if you slack its no better than a shit job because your free time is all gone.
