Anyone else stuck in a rut?
> Decent job, decent money
> Go to work
> Go home
> Shitpost on the web
> Alone
> Occasionally drink beer
> Occasionally smoke pot
Weekend comes
> Go to bars
> Try to get laid
> Succeed sometimes
> End up alone
Sums up my last 5 months at this new job, already looking to quit but not until I figure out what I'm gonna do. Definitely not another job.
>>1660316
i know what you mean
>no job, was taken away cause my country decided to vote in a snowboard instructor as leader
>stay at home
>look for work
>there is none
>shitpost on the web
>alone
>occasionally tap water, on unemployment but not for long as its running out soon
weekend comes
>doesnt matter
>weekends, week days are the same
>dont bother trying to get laid no one wants a unemployed reject
>succeed never
>was alone, and stayed that way
moral of story- quit bitching you atleast have a job
I don't mind my job I just want a different schedule because I never have time to go on trips.
I work 12 hour shifts but I only get 2 days off in between. That's a day to catch up on sleep and a day to get back on a sleep schedule.
Id rather work all my days straight then have 3 days off one week and 4 days off the next. I could go to the beach. Small road trips on my bike. Maybe buy a boat or camper. But instead I'm always sleeping and money piling up in my checking account. Too tired to even get on the computer and move it to savings or invest.
Beats being a broke NEET but I wish I had a better schedule. Even a Monday through Friday 8 hour days with 2 days off really gives you no time to do anything. That's why I want a 3 or 4 day week 12 or 10 hour shifts.
Alright /biz/ i am in need of help. I have a pretty decent social media following and don't know how to monetize it completely. I have tried but the main issue comes to the fact that i started this with a partner and his vision for things is super short sighted.
I am just kind of lost right now. :/
>>1660228
Maybe clickbait articles that are *ahem* well written. ... check out how Ms. Palin does it on her Facebook feed literally has thousands of people visit her stupid conservative website to solicit her products. (The website is great, because you can either "agree" (like) the article or "disagree" but, if you disagree, your branded as liberal... )
>>1660228
If you believe your plan can work, why not buy out your partner?
If their short sighted it should be easy to wave a carrot in front of them that looks good but in the long term you'll make more money from.
What kind of social media following are we talking about? Personality based? Text or Instagram?
What do you intend to do with it?
Anyway, y'all better start buttering up this partner, because if you can't buy them out you've got two long roads ahead of you:
1. Start from scratch, Solo
2. Have to bring them around to your mode of thinking.
So i live in a certain area of the united states and we cater to showing off what is in the area. Our analytics show that we reach 90% of the local audience. The route we have taken is showing off what the area has to offer in video form and doing giveaways to local events. We have grown from 0 following to being seen over 153 million times in less than 3 years.
It's awesome really...but 0 dollars are coming in. I just don't know how to flip that switch.
Appreciate the feedback.
why aren't you trading options, anon?
actually i sell out of the money puts every month on stocks with the highest implied vol. i'm not comfy with the current S&P500 P/E so i try to diversify my strategies when i have free capital to work with
>>1660240
do you pick from a group of stocks or do you screen across all optionable stocks for high IV (percentile?) ? i mostly trade vol as well
I've been looking into this. It seems like a good idea for people like me with low capital to maximize my exposure. I'm young so high risk/high reward seems like a better route to go.
Okay /biz/, I'm ready to be a millionaire
how do I do this
>>1660176
Get more capital you fucking cuck
>>1660176
go all-in on AMD
Im thinking aboit becoming an RN because of the high demand.
Can anyone tell me what im in for?
>>1660081
registered nurse?
get ready for impacted bowel procedures, vomit, old people, scabs, earwax and other bodily fluids coming dangerously close to giving you a lifelong disease every time a patient sneezes without covering their mouth
Nursing labour shortage is a myth, like pilot labour shortage
RN here. Its not worth it.
>>1660100
Ignore this retard. This is so stupid my brain just shuts down reading it and can't respond to it.
>>1660298
Ignore this retard too. You get get a job at just about any hospital. Not really a job shortage but turnover rates are so high. I've been a RN for almost 6 years now and you will find a job in less than 2 weeks. The school I went to has had 100% job placement rates since 1992.
But its a shitty job. You're on your feet 12+ hours a day. When you're off you're on call so cant really do anything besides sit at home then never get called and waste a day off. Patients hardly ever respect you because you're not a real doctor. Especially the baby boomers. Doctors hold you to a higher standard than female nurses and are always making you do the grunt work because most doctors believe women are incompetent. Some of them actually talk to them like they are children sometimes when they are impatient. The "office politics" are worse than any other job you can get into. You won't be cleaning up messes and shit and changing diapers but you will be covered in blood at least once a day. Scrubs are expensive. You will have crazy people cuss and spit on you and try biting you. You will have to deal with the aggressive ones since you're likely the only male nurse. You'll be lifting all the fat fucks. You'll basically be everybody's tool and not really a nurse.
Its been fun everyone, if you need me leave a post here ill read it when im back from the moon
Well that's unexpected.
How do you learn about the moon missions prior to departure??
>>1660033
>try to sell your shares
>crash the price and actually just break even
good luck kuck.

Fuck off tyler
>>1660025
Fuck your mother, Tyler
Can somebody explain this to me.
I went from being worked like a slave in a vinyl plant for 13.50 a hour to standing around watching a machine run in a climate controlled plant for 18.50 a hour right down the road.
The first place has a high retention rate and the second has trouble keeping workers with good attendance and always have high turnover bringing new people on every week or two.
Why would people not want to show up to a job where you get trained to watch the air pressure of a machine while getting paid 19.50 a hour versus working like a dog in a 100 degree plant for 13.50? The hours are exactly the same.
Is it blue collar ego? I personally enjoy my new lazy job.
>>1660006
Well, Homer Simpson. People get bored if they aren't mentally or physically stimulated. If they work like a dog they are at least occupied.
>>1660006
not sure but a lot of times with higher wages you get people that hate their job for whatever reason but can't afford to quit.
so they just hang out and make everyone else miserable. The US Postal Service is famous for this dynamic, people even get to the point of shooting each other over it.
>>1660008
But I just sit behind the machine and watch YouTube or play mobile games. We also get to take breaks whenever we like and don't have to wait for a bell like children. Only downside is its a tobacco free facility because the stuff made is FDA regulated.
???

Got a fake portfolio with AI, AQN, VNR just to see how they were trending then forgot about it. Just checked back and it's +18% on the year. Not back.
>>1659960
Not bad*
>>1659960
you think they'll keep going up?
>take out 20k loan
>start e-book business
>outline basic book guidelines then hire pajeets
>spend a bit on branding, nice covers, illustrations etc
>spend a bit on a nice website
>spend a bit on advertising
what can go wrong??? isn't this foolproof if i don't fuck up conceptually with the ebooks?
>what could go wrong
You don't sell anything
Also
>2016
>buying ebooks
>>1659952
really? i thought people buy ebooks all the time??
shit, then what do people buy that you can produce infinitely?
>>1659958
i'm sure people buy ebooks, but not people that frequent this site. I think they're more likely to torrent them. Normies buy ebooks I'm sure, but they use established channels, the googleplay store or the istore or whatever its called on apple. I'm sure amazon sells a lot too.
I bought yesterday in the Automatedbinary meme and lost like 500 bucks in one hour. In demo mode made like a few hundreds of bucks in a few minutes. Should I kill myself already?
That's not all, exactly a few minutes after losing my investment the mountain jews sent me a mail that they've blocked my account because of my residence country. Apparently day trading is a burger privilege.
>>1659911
Weren't you posting about this yesterday?
Because i'm pretty sure i was pointing out that binaries are a scam to someone
also, it's not day trading, it's literal gambling.
>>1659927
no, but I saw the post yesterday. It just looks reliable.
out of these banks which is the least ethical?
what about to work for? which one treats it's employees most/least shit
It's hard to say without working for each and one of them.
But from recent events, I'd have to say Wells Fargo. Management would push the idea that they must open 8 accounts per day with the quote "eight is great" otherwise they'd be fired with a horrible review from management to keep them from getting another banking job.
This created the incentive for them to make fake accounts to meet the criteria, hence why the big scandal went on about.
So yeah, fuck Wells Fargo.
>>1659863
but i guess that got stumped out real quick didn't it?
how are the other banks?
>>1659872
It did. They'll need to make major changes before they can attract any talent.
I suppose you can hold that against them.
I'm not sure of other banks.
Hi biz september I got my first job at burger king and i officially saved my first $1000 (almost at $2,000 now) I now work at subway and i have clearly realized the difference between a good paying job and a wage slave job. I feel that we all want the good paying job so I was wondering... What are some ways to build a good resume, and what jobs actually pay out good hourly salaries? How many of us actually believe we will be successful investing or starting a business without decent capital to start? Any advice appreciated. (inb4 kneepads)
become a manager at subway, it will show your future employers that you can manage people and maybe let you manage business down the line
>>1659861
this is solid advice.
The pay is often decent and the experience is valuable. Lots of restaurant managers go on to buy or start businesses of their own. Usually not restaurants though. After you run a few you'll see why.
I've decided to use my smart phone and my various online accounts that I have cultivated to start a tech company with various high-profile investors....
the more I watch Shark Tank and read Gizmodo, the more I become convinced that I can use self-help books and Chinese electro-gadgets to win the lottery and produce something revolutionary out of thin air with my pea-brain and my absolute lack of any sort of skill besides masturbating and filling my sugar plum head with fanciful distractions. It's mostly my fault but yes my parents and teachers did sell me down the river. My backup plan is to get a girl pregnant... no matter what I know that I will be watching a lot of TV. Work smarter not harder, 4 hour work week, Just gotta find the right scam to start reeling in affiliate bucks. I hope nobody gives me what I deserve which is a bullet in my head.
hi sam hyde
>My backup plan is to get a girl pregnant.
Oh good advice. I will make that my backup plan as well.
>>1659847
You're depressed. You should look at books on that instead
>be me
>employer is offering me to work 3 days a wk/24 hrs and pay for my bachelor's in engineering
>do this and be contracted to them for 10 years
what do
>>1659773
Calculate how much you would make with a bachelor's degree in 10 years and decide accordingly
spoiler: They are probably fucking you over
>>1659785
The Department of Education pulls this shit too. Get a masters in education for free, but have to work at a high needs school for 2 year for every year that they pay.
If you like the company or they give nice raises every year, it'll be fine. Otherwise you can hop from company to company every couple of years for +15% salary bumps each time.
