The main reason you get a dog should be because you love dogs and not attracting women, but let's not pretend dogs aren't pussy magnets and perhaps attracting women should play a role it what breed you decide to get.

Let me start with a few hypotheses:

>small dogs are unattractive
Obviously stuff like Chihuahuas and Pomeranians are out

>Huge dogs are seen as "trying to compensate"
Having a Great Dane etc. is going to put some girls off

>traditionally "attack" or "guard" dogs are seen as a fake tough guy act
German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Pitt Bulls etc.

>Labrador and Golden retrievers are "dad" dogs

>athletic is good
>medium to large (again not too large) is good
>obviously cute and manly are both good

I'm thinking Huskies, Boxers and Beagles are all great examples of very attractive dogs.

Again I'm not trying to say which are the best dogs, I'm only talking about which will get the most girls.

Any dog that is well trained. If you have an untrained little shit it's a huge turn off. Shows you can't take care of and control your dog, meaning you are not a good candidate to care for and control children.

Basically, I'm looking for IDEAS AND CONCEPTS OF WILDLIFE FOR MY FANTASY FICTIONAL WORLD.

Basically, I got this fantasy fictional world (like elves and dwarves and dragons and the same old thing), and one of the points I really like exploring is different wildlife. I tried to look up online for wildlife ideas, but mostly people only seems to discuss "monsters and beasts".

What I'm really looking for is the idea of nice/cool/interesting/exotic/etc animals and plants. It can be a mixture of different animals/plants (as a gryphon is a lion+eagle thingy), complete random ideas, or simply suggestion of rare real-life animals (extincted or not). I'm not only looking for the animal's physiology, but also behavior and interaction with other wildlife or sentient creatures (such as farm animals/plants).

pic related: this is one of the few animals I have thought of so far. Its called "Gnarr" (or lizardbeast), and it lives in herds. Its raised by farmer as a source of meat and leather (very good leather, btw). It can get incredibly aggressive when hungry. (this is just an example)

Plz I would really like some nice ideas :)

Flying jellyfish that are tamed and used by the other races like hot air balloons.

They eat by trapping insects in their tentacles.

By any chances do they tentacles glow in the dark, luring insects to it?

At what point does it become right to shoot your dog?

My dog is a German Shepherd/Labrador mix, who would've turned 14 in 2 months, but it's clear that this won't happen.

His hind legs have been weak for several months, and it very slowly got worse and worse, until 5 days ago when he suddenly really struggled to get up. He managed to do it, he got up his stairs and everything, but it was tough.
10 hours ago though, i was going to take him for what i thought was going to be his last walk in the woods, but when i got home to put on his leash there was no chance he'd get up, even though he tried. He must have fallen down the stairs and broken his front leg, he can't put weight on it, and if i move it he starts whining and seems to be in sharp pain.
Now he just lies there, unable to get to food or water by himself, wets and shits himself, and when left alone for maybe 30 minutes he starts barking.

I have to put him down, that's obvious, he doesn't deserve this. The problem is it's another 24 hours until the vet opens, and they won't do anything in weekends..
I don't know what to do, i don't want to shoot him because of the risks and how grotesque it is, but i don't want him to suffer through another night either..
He's not in pain when lying still, but that's not a life.

What do i do?

You've got two choices, anon.

You can either shoot your dog, or wait until the vet opens and get them to kill him.

OH WAIT, YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT THE OPTIONS ARE.

So make your fucking choice, you cunt. We don't know anything about you, your dog, or your circumstance, and even if we had perfect information the choice would still be yours whether or not you listened to us anyway, so stop procrastinating and fucking decide.
>>
Get your dog to a vet and fix his leg. Maybe he needs a wheelchair too.

Hey guys, I'm getting a new puppy in 2 weeks and was just told that he has a slight underbite. Is this a big deal, or should I back out and wait in a next litter? It's a cockapoo if that helps

>it's a cockapoo

back out a wait a for a breed that isn't designer byb shit. Or adopt if you really want a mutt
>>
>>2304365
I knew somebody who has a saussage dog with a big underbite.
Looked like a very goofy shark but had no problems as far as i know.
>>
depends how "slight" that slight underbite is

you have to understand that when it comes to most breeders, especially of these designer poodle cross fad dogs, their endgame is to sell dogs. That's it. So I wouldn't exactly trust their word on the severity of the underbite until you see it yourself

honestly you can't know how bad it is really until the dog is older. But as far as negative health problems, the main thing would be that they may have a problem eating or will be more prone to dental disease/decay. But again, depends how severe the underbite is and if they have any other dental misalignment

He's 2 years old now and I still have no idea what he is. I've been avoiding a DNA test for a looong time now. The person we got him from said he was some kind of min-pin mix. Possibly with beagle. Honestly though, I don't see either of those in him. Any ideas?

RIP pupper
>>
>>2303595
If it helps, op, when I lost my puppy I cried for weeks and for months following. Hell, still tear up when I think of her. They're only dogs to others but to us they're our best friends.
Cherish the memories and if you're religious then thank your God for the opportunity to have cared for them.
Besides that, can't do anything about it except experience the loss and keep going. Don't forego opening your heart to another pup that needs a good home either. You can't replace the one you've lost but you can still care for another pup and give them the love they deserve.
Few people can understand the bond, op, but I do and I'm sorry for your loss.

This is a coincidence. I put my cat down yesterday.
She was a black stray. Got her when she was just two months old and I was 10. I'm 25 now.
She had CRF and a mouth carcinoma under her tongue which brought her some pain when eating. The CRF meant she couldn't take too many pain killers, but also she didn't have much appetite.
You can picture what happened. She got skinny real fast, even though she still seemed and acted normally.
We (me and my parents, where she lived lately) didn't want to try surgery on a 15 year old cat with renal insufficiency that probably meant removing parts of her jaw. So we just held on for a while. It eventually became really hard for my mother to see her in pain so we had to put her down.
It's sad because I was so used to her. Grew up with her etc.

Even though I don't have dogs rn, I'm with you OP.

My 6 month old puppy has rancid farts nearly constantly. We've tried several different brands of food as well as a raw diet and the only food that seemed to have any improvement was cheap supermarket food with barely any meat in it.

Am I going to have to choose between living in a house that smells like shit and feeding my dog food that will kill her before she hits 5 years? Are there any other products I can mix in with a raw diet that might decrease the gas?
15 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>2302721

>green tripe

What did your raw diet consist of?

What kind of dog do you have?
>>
>>2302751

Assuming you have a husky I would feed 2 chicken thigh leg portions, 1/4 cup green tripe and alternate 1/4 cup liver, heart and kidney each day.
>>
>>2302752
>>2302751
Husky-mix, yeah. Her raw diet was mostly kangaroo mince with lamb liver+kidney and chicken necks. Usually with some vegetables on the side if I had some left over.

Also the food brands she's been on are
-Applaws puppy food
-Nature's Goodness Grain Free
-Advance Wellbeing
-Baxters (the low quality food that didn't give her gas)

She was on each for 3-4 weeks. I'll definitely look into green tripe though. Would the powdered version be okay or would I need to get it straight from a butcher?
