Does anyone have any pictures or videos of these type of orangutans? I think they look majestic as fuck, but whenever I search for them I can only find the regular skinny ones.
>>2304926
>tfw he doesn't know
That is because (solitary) males are like that
I have a lot of male orangutans pictures saved for orangutan posting
>>2304926
Why do they grow the big face? Is it just fysion?
>>2304986
Testosterone. I am not sure if I got your question. But testosterone.

>>2304552
Here is the tiny piece after a few months now
Spiky
>>2304577

What about this dude?
>>2304430
Homosexual date rapist.
His advice always boils down to "play with your cats more" or "take your cat to the vet" which miraculously solves every problem.
Not bad advice, glad it's popular since more stupid cat owners need to hear it.
Aside from the stupid aromatherapy shit he sells, his advice is solid and the info he gives is accurate. Cool dude. Overall helpful to cat owners
Hi /an/. My neighbor bought this baby rat to feed to his snake, but ultimately the snake wasn't interested due to some recent injury or something. My roommate and I also have a snake, but we don't have the heart to feed this little guy to it.
Anyway, it seems healthy and very energetic and sweet. It seems to make this excited clicking sound when I take it out of its enclosure, and immediately cuddles up on me, sometimes falling asleep, or just sitting there staring, making these clicking sounds. Google gives mixed results on what this is, but it SEEMS like it's just super happy.
Never had a rat before, so can anyone clarify for me if it's a good thing?
Is it a sound he makes with his teeth?
It's called bruxing and a sound of excitement. They do it when happy/super comfy, when nervous and when in severe pain.
If he cuddles up to you, he is feeling comfy.
Consider buying frozen/thawed in the future, for economic, safety (rats can severely harm snakes with their teeth and claws) and humane reasons.
>>2304378
My friend that's a good rat. It's warmed up to you very well. Keep it as a pet, can't tell you how many times I've had a skittish pet rat or mouse and wished for something calm like that.
rats are nice pets and yours sounds happy
make sure to get him a friend of the same sex so he's not alone
What does /an/ think of Dobermans?
Good boys
>>2304091
this.
Love them, I have 2
Is this guy's advice real or is it just a meme? Do dogs really have that "pack mentality" with humans? If you feed a dog before feeding yourself, is it really going to act out as a leader?
>>2303658
No, he's retarded and projects freudian-tier insecurities on to dogs.
I feed my dog first, let her up in my bed at night, and allow her to walk a few paces ahead of me. All of them were handled this way and all of them were incredibly obedient, loving, and docile.
>>2303658
One thing I like that he teaches is that you need to pick a dog with a similar energy level to you. He also shows people that sometimes, you just can not handle your dog (whether it's because they are too low energy compared to their dog, or they aren't strong enough to physically handle their dog, they aren't assertive enough to train the dog, etc) and the only option is to rehome the dog. Not everyone can handle every dog, sometimes you get a dog that isn't for you and you need to find another better suited home for it. He tells some people that have a dog they will never be able to handle to switch dogs with him, and he gives them a dog that is better suited for them. I love that shit.
Other than that he is pretty shit.
>>2303669
This. He also puts an extreme emphasis on exercising the dog before he shows the families any of his dominance crap. Because 99% of those families aren't exercising their dogs enough.
What does /an/ think about BBC Natural History documentaries so far?
Are there more good wildlife/conservation related documentaries you can recommend?
>>2303531
Pretty fucking amazing. Based Attenborough never disappoint me.
I haven't watch much nature documentaries aside from the BBC's one, but pic related is my favorite as a kid and i still love it.
>>2303531
Underrated
>That episode with the eagle-cam
>The hornet swarm
>The stork that learn how to use bait
>Electric ray
>>2303531
BBC natural history is the most consistently good wildlife documentary producer. I am glad they don't drop the quality the same way like Animal Planet and Discovery Channel (Nat Geo Wild is a bit mixed, but mostly good IMO). But i guess that British taxpayers to thank for.
Blue Planet is still my favorite. Looking forward for the sequel if they ever plan to make one.
Anons I have problem with my rabbit. He started pissing on my bed. Is he trying to show his dominance? What should I do, piss on his bed? Any help would be appreciated.
>>2301083
The best thing to do wouldn't be to piss on his bed, rather. Piss on every section of your household to show it's your property. This includes the Alpha rabbit. Make sure to piss on him as well
>>2301083
Have him neutered or don't let him on your bed
>>2301299
>UUUUHHHH I CAN'T BE ASSED TO TRAIN MY PET SO I'LL JUST MUTILATE IT!
Pet balls are not for cutting, you twat!
Can we get a thread about otters?
otters suck
Otter threads suck
I'd post some art concerning otters but this is a blue board so I won't
/an/ what do you think is the worst bird? Is it really the Australian ibis? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO-OpFjHRbE&feature=youtu.be
>>2299652
Are these the seagulls of Australia but worse?
Can confirm, worst bird.
These fuckers infested the lake in the centre of my town. They are the worst smelling animal I've ever encountered. They've polluted the lake so badly all the other water birds left except a few ducks. People refuse to have picnics there now because they attack anyone with food.
The council has stated they'll drive the birds off after breeding season but I doubt they'll go far. I suspect they'll just go infest one of the less popular lakes around.

New to /plant/ I got 6 baby spider plants to help out with indoor air quality. I picked up a 10" succulent planter (10x5x5) to start them off in. How dense should I let the roots get before transplanting?

Is my dog inbred? She snorts when she breathes because her face is too flat
All purebred dogs are inbred to some extent. Doesn't always mean it's a problem, dogs are not the same as humans.
>>2306562
Dogs with flat faces are pretty much always inbred be fixed within one or two generations tho
Pic related is my Boxer Labrador mix, moms face was flat as all shit and dad had a normal snout
Not a single pup in the litter ended up with moms face though a couple got her brindle pattern
>>2306564
Inbreeding is bad in any complex animal.
what's the human equivalent of an animal enjoying being stroked?
so do most humans, just not by everyone.
>>2306497
animals never get bored of it and want to have sex with you though.
>>2306501
>never get bored
They do, and will walk away.
>have sex with you
Not me, just my leg.
What is this? It occured in the last 6hrs. It doesnt seem painfull to her. Is it a sting of some kind?
>>2306353

Goddammit spoilers don't work here!
I think America is asleep already.
I can't speak for all of /an/ but I do. I really had fun with the backlash on all the super radical left liberals but the backlash on the scientific community and environmental is too huge. I can't get any grants man.
