Would you eat your pet if you had to to survive?
>>2296580
No. We starve together
>>2296580
Nah. I'm not eating rat, even if I like them as pets.
what type of dog is this?
African Gooback

Hippo

it looks like a rare form of Rhodesian ridgeback
Anyone been attacked by an animal? Share your story/photo .
Last month on the 27th I was bit by our bulldog, little shit is an asshole and was attacking out old lady(pitbull) and I had pulled him off, he then jumped away and snapped at my arm then continued attacking our pitbull. He did stop after a while, we still have him but they are both away from each other. At this point I'm still unsure if we are going to put him down.
Don't put him down, if you want him gone just give him to a shelter.

That's what happens when you baby your dog too much. You're supposed to show it that you're the alpha. Beat the fuck out of it if it bites you.
>>2295805
They'll do the same, dogs like that don't work, they will attack again.

/herp/ reptile classifieds for finding breeders of various scaled and sundry creatures
>kingsnake.com
>faunaclassifieds.com
>reptilescanada.com (Canadian breeders)
>Also check to see if there are any annual reptile shows/expos in your area as these are good places to find good animals from good breeders at partial discount
/herp/ officially official all purpose care sheet of wonder and magic
>sand a shit
>use a thermostat
>read all the caresheets
>set up your tank before you get your herp
>regulate temps & humidity levels prior to herp arrival
>do not fuck with (handle) your herp for at least 7 days after bringing it home and ideally wait until herp has eaten at least one meal (for snakes), two meals for lizards, frogs, etc.
>PVC tanks are way better for most applications and worth the extra money
>it is best to avoid chain pet stores when looking to purchase live animals as mass breeder suppliers are not especially careful about health and sound genetics... it often saves you money long term to spend a little extra up front to get a healthy animal

Why are they always shit-blender colored?
>>2280338
Thank god it attacked him and not some kid in the park.
The dog was always going to snap, the timing was good.
Thanks for reminding me to continue walking on the opposite side of wherever someone is walking one of these ticking time bombs.
>and therefore you FUCK UP all the carefully established moisture on the nose and it has to be thoroughly re-moistened again
I'm so sorry, doggo.
>>2268093
>accidentally
I touch her nose constantly. With my face, hands, feet, arms, legs...pretty much however I can. I also 'bite' on the tip of her nose (not with any pressure obviously) with my front teeth. Albeit that last part was something she started--she always 'bites' the tip of my nose when she gives kisses.
>not bopping snoots
Anon.............
My dogs nose has been and done things you could not imagine, it is not hermetically sealed and atmospherically controlled.
Hi /an/,
I'very inherited a dog that was never trained. I've been walking her for about 3 months. There's been a huge improvement, but she still pulls and gets distracted, causing her to walk in front of me. I got a gentle leader, and if I don't limit her lead to 2 feet she'll still pull, see the video below. What can I do? I'll walk her either way, but I'd like to make the walks enjoyable.

>>2299869
It doesn't look like she's very comfortable with whatever muzzle contraption that shit is. I'd say leash to her to a normal harness and spend an hour everyday training her specifically to not pull on the leash and deal with distractions. That one crazy dog trainer guy has a great video on it. Too lazy to look it up though
>>2299883
I used a harness for a couple months, I got the gentle leader for Christmas. It's helped tremendously, with the harness she was practically walking on her rear legs.
Not OP, but I have a 7month puppy that loves to pull ahead(mostly because boundless energy). Does it really matter or is this some bullshit dominance thing again?
Fucking hell I forgot to feed my turtle for 5 days, shes still alive and ate again, but shes very weak. I have three pets and shes the only one I forgot
Shoot me /an/
Heh, time to watch these people's heads explode.
>>2299759
I would if I could. This is absolutely problematic and triggering.
I sometimes have nightmares where I'd find a pet (sometimes an animal I've never had, sometimes it's a pet I've had that died, has never been a pet I currently have) I've forgotten or never knew I had, and is starving and dying, and the rest of the dream is me scrambling to care for it and nurse it back to health.
I don't understand how someone can just forget about feeding an animal for nearly a week. Maybe if they were hoarding, but you only have 3 pets. I can see if it was about procrastinating cleaning or something, or you didn't have the money, or it was only a day. but you just forgot about it's existence. How the fuck do you manage that?
Why dont they just cross a bulldog with something athletic, then breed that with a pitbull, then breed the resulting puppies with a bullypit or some primarily bulldog mix?
Because "muh purebreeds." This is coming from someone who has a purebred working dog and sees the value in both mutts and pures.

What about the intelligence?

Whats the benefit of a purebred bulldog?

How did humans manage to domesticate wolves? They're massive niggers.
>>2298875
all it takes in one retarded wolf that decides humans aren't dangerous and gets close enough to interact with them
those guys were literal autist, no sense of danger
they just got lucky we saw use for them
>>2298875
we didn't domesticate wolves. we domesticated a common ancestor that wolves share with dogs.
>>2298875
>hunter gatherers dropping food scraps everywhere they go
>wolves eventually realize that eating human waste is a lot easier than hunting
>start following humans around
>humans probably kill aggressive wolves and decide the rest of them are pretty useful for protection
So on and so on.
Do you remove your dogs papilloma?
I just did my dogs with fishing braid.
I tied it to a fence post then made a noose and put it around the dogs wart and he ran and it popped off with no mess and no apparent residual pain.
My dog got them as a puppy. They were pretty ugly to do that but 10 seconds of research told me they'd go away as his immune system matured and developed antibodies against the virus in the papillomas.
No reason to remove it yourself unless it's interfering with your dog's quality of life.
>>2298841
There were 2 large ones which made him scratch his face all the time.
>>2298828
That sounds awfully risky, like, you were lucky nothing went wrong.
Why not just go to the store and buy one of those cans of liquid wart freeze away?
If it works well enough to kill human warts, then why wouldn't it work just as well on dogs?

>reading apartment lease agreement
>"must declaw cats"
why is this a thing?
i managed to get the manager to make an exception, but seeing this makes me sick.
I think I'd rather be homeless. I don't know why it's so difficult for people to understand why cutting off an animal's fingers to make your life easier is unethical. Glad your kitty's fingers are safe, anon.
i'd be more worried about their nasty ass piss ruining the place, personally
Either this is a thinly veiled stop-sterilization thread, or females are incapable of understanding irony
I still want it to go outside every once in a while but there's a forest like right next to my house and my friend once found a decapitated cat head and it's body in there. Not to mention the supposed drug deals going on in there.
So, i'd like to know how to get my cat the good amount of fresh air, i would also like to get some tips on how to even take care of a cat since i haven't had one since i was a kid.
>>2297220
>Fresh air
Open a window. Keep your cat inside, dipshit.
Well I imagine that if you had a backyard just put a leash around him and walk him around. My neighbor's cats are both outdoor and indoor cats but they never really leave his front lawn.
How about you keep your cat inside?
