Is it possible to get rabies even if the dog isn't rabid?
My dog has a habit of chasing me as if to bite my leg and she did.

If your dog doesn't have rabies, obviously it cannot give you rabies.
Animals can have it without displaying signs though. Shes had her shots, right?
>>
>>2299661
You can get rabies from a non rabid dog the same way you can get aids from jacking off

I just adopted this kitten and it won't eat at all. I'm starting to get worried. We have him a bath and he has plenty of food but we fear that he may still be scared of us. He hasn't eaten in hours. Any tips?

you gave a kitten a bath? are you trying to kill it?
>>
>>2299612
I-is that bad? It was really warm water
>>
>>2299608
You've only had it for hours? It's not a thing to worry about. Try to bond with it and make it feel comfortable (pet it, let it explore, let it get close to you if he wants to, approach it while crouching down or whatever tl make you seem less intimidating). Once the cat feels safe it will eat. If the problem persists (say, it doesn't eat for two whole days) call a vet

I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but whatever.

Recently I was smoking some bud and forgot that my lab was sleeping in the room. Obviously rooms hotbox pretty fast so once I realised he was there he was already pretty stoned but seemed to enjoy it, he curled up at my feet and spent an hour demanding to have his back/belly etc rubbed, didn't act erratically or start freaking out.

Because of this I wanted to let him try getting stoned once by blowing some smoke and seeing what his reaction is.If he doesn't enjoy it then it will obviously be the last time he is exposed to THC but if he happens to like it then there wouldn't be harm in not kicking him out of the room when I smoke. (I've been researching side effects, possible deaths etc however the amount that would be needed for any complication is not even near the amount of THC in second hand smoke).

What I was wondering is if anyone else has given their dog marijuana and how did they react? My only expieriences with stoned dogs is from youtube and my dealers dog who comes running into the room the second he smells smoke.

I used to give my dogs bones, cow feet, pigs ears and bully sticks but they both would have serious coughing/gagging fits so I don't believe they are really safe.

I want my dogs to have chews as enrichment. Does anyone have any suggestions?

>>
The only things really unsafe out of those options are bones and possibly cows feet. Ears and bulky sticks are fine as long as they're American sourced
>>
>>2299597

My dogs are corgi mixes so they are a little small and have had problems with the pigs ears
>>

I think it depends on the dog. It seems really up in the air whether or not antlers, bones and raw hide is safe or not. For example some dogs can't and/or don't almost immediately break swallowable pieces off. Over time that will happen of course. One of my dogs is a chewer and we can get a good two weeks out of her bones before she is able to snap them so it's enough time for us to tell when it needs replacing or w le just need to saw off a section otherwise she will choke on them.

Help me out on this /an/,

There's two cats that come everyday to my yard to eat (I have a bowl with cat food) and sometimes even sleep (since we normally don't live there)
However, one of those cats (Patucos) seems to be the alpha and sometimes fights and/or scares the other one (Conguitos) away.

Is there any way I can avoid that from happening so both cats can mind their own business while they eat and sleep on my yard?

Pic related, that one is Patucos

Adopt one or both of them and keep them inside. Take the other or both of them to the shelter. Don't leave food out ever again. That'll fix the problem nicely OP, trust me.

My skink bites/lightly gnaws on his front left hand and when resting always tucks his leg against his body like in pic. The foot looks normal, and the same as the other feet. Is thiis something you guys might be able to give insight on?

Why do birds and reptiles come in all kinds of colours, yet mammals don't have blue/green/bright red fur and only have shades of yellow or grey?

That's actually not any blue pigment making those colors. I forgot what causes it, exactly but I remember looking it up.

Also to answer OP's question - pigments and light(in the case of bird feathers). Birds and reptiles also have more pigments than mammals can produce.

Ok guys
>found a bird by the road
>it's some kind of small lagoon seagull
>it has a wing that looks messed up like not completely bad but it cant fly or put in in it's place so it's hanging all the time
>apart from that it's completely healthy and has no trouble running or eating
Will it fly again?
If so how do I proceed in fixing its wing?
By the way I had one of those birds once with the same problem and it didn't fly once it was cured, I want to make it right this time.
Do I have to put it between two little planks so it heals in straight position?
Pic unrelated

Hey an,
A few months back I got pic related living on my porch. I didn't really mind its presence nor it's practicality (eat bugs) so I trained my puparoo to ignore them (she killed a few by catching them) and after that they did quite well for themselves out there. Plus they really enjoy shitting right in the middle of the floor so cleaning up after them is really just as easy as turning on my shopvac for 1-2 seconds.
Long story short, I gather a few pill bugs every morning when I put the dog out, 2 or 3 tops, and feed them to whichever lucky lizard happens to be out on the porch that morning. My old man thinks this will make them all lazy and forego foraging for food (aka getting rid of bugs). I'm not so sure, since it's usually only 1 or 2 out of about 5 of the lizards that will get the extra feeding and never the same lizards.
Could one of these fellas survive off of 1 to 3 pill bugs for an entire week?

My cat pissed somewhere in my room while I was out

There's a strong cat piss smell coming from somewhere in the room. I can't locate it though. I even think it might be my mattress I'm so unsure

I've just sprayed febreeze and have this little scent thing going but I can still smell it. I lit a candle right now in desperation

How do I get rid of cat piss smell?
