Does anyone know how to setup a 32X on a modern hdtv?

I have been able get the megadrive working but the 32X doesn't work. I can barely see the title screen of whatever game is in the 32X but I can't seem to tune into it.

Can you post your hookups and image from the TV? There is a cable you have to connect the 32X and MegaDrive/Genesis together with.

Also VRD is one of the best 32X games
>>
>>4026887
One of the best for sure.

For me the best is and will always be VF1!
>>
>>4026887
Not at the moment, I'm at work, but I've connected the cable between the megadrive 1 and 32X.

I'm playing it and it's pretty good, but they should make you restart from the beginning when you die. or have some death counter. Might as well read a book otherwise. But that aside, I think the gameplay is solid. I'd never played a game with a rolling counter, and I never thought that it would matter so early in the game, but if you're desperately trying to prevent death than it spells a world of difference. On top of that I like how you can avoid enemies and then the tables turn once you grow more powerful, and how enemies can jump you in groups.

In fact I'm gonna restart it again right now. You got my itching to play.

Good idea. When the dataset is complete we can do a fast Fourier transform on it to reveal any underlying pattern.

Is it just me, or have 90% of the games from the fifth gen aged really, really badly?

60-90% of games have always been shit on any successful console. I feel like I could make a pretty convincing argument for Saturn's library being good well above 10% even for the most critical of (reasonable) critics.

because they had to show off the 3d i guess. pretty sad especially in france but the 3d is the main reason people bought this game

1. A DOS puzzle game (possibly a port from Amiga or whatever) where you control a pic related stick figure dude and have to grab and throw blocks that travel diagonally and bounce off walls in order to hit the corresponding static blocks on the level.
2. Some kind of top-down exploration/space combat game for DOS where you start with pic related small ship, travel around, land on planets, but more weapons/ships, etc. Played it for only a day before my PC got bricked and dad lost the CD, so a lot of details may be off.

What did Digimon World get right that its sequels got wrong?
Did any of its sequels do anything better than the original or add welcomed features?
What would an ideal Digimon World sequel be?

And, and forgot to ask.
What did Digimon World do that could have been done better?
>>
From what I remember, the first 3 Digimon World games were all wildly different, to the point where you can't really compare them. The first was about managing a virtual life, the second was a dungeon crawler, and the third was kind of a generic JRPG. The only things they had in common were Digimon and being too grindy for me to get very far in.

Previous thread >>3948179

This thread is for the spirited discussion of CRT displays - Televisions, monitors and projectors used for the playing of retro games!

>Try to keep it /vr/-related: Nothing past 5th gen(+ Dreamcast). Slight OT might be okay if related to CRTs (E.G. 16:9 compatible models, flatscreens, etc.) Systems with backwards compatibility are also pretty safe territory, assuming you're focusing on the older games. PC CRTs are also a-ok.
>Produce OC! Get out your real cameras and take beautiful pictures of your CRTs displaying recognizable characters with the kind of beautiful accuracy that brings tears to the eyes of young and old alike! If you take 100 photos, at least one of them will turn out alright! (maybe)
>Try to be as detailed as possible when asking info on a specific model. As always, google is your friend, and we are your friends with benefits. Older archived threads aren't a bad place to look either.
>Share appreciation for others choice of technology and personal philosophy of gaming. As always show courtesy in your discussion and moderate yourselves first.

Discussion of video processing and scaling devices is okay, but try to keep the focus on CRTs and CRT accessories

I beat R2 for Stadium 1 a few years back
I ended up completing the pokedex for Blue and abused the shit out of rare candies, tms, and drugs to make level 100 mons to stand a chance
some things to consider
>AI is a cheating dick
>using Gen II can be useful for moves and under leveled mons
>Under leveled mons can rock the lower cups
>Psychic is king

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new thread after having nothing to report for a while.

For those who are new to these threads, I'm an anon living in Japan who likes to go to retro stores and hunt for bargains. I started making threads to post my findings and also take requests from anons who are looking for Japanese hardware and software. The way it works is you can send me an email at:

[email protected]

You can also post in this thread.

I will dump photos when I visit the store but you can also look at them here: https://goo gl/photos/EztDSevRyDsLt9xz9

Put a "." in the gap to follow the link. I had to post it this way to get past the spam filter.

For those that have been in contact with me via email I will try to get back to you soon but as there are so many things in these pictures, if you see something you have been looking for and I don't mention it please feel free to point it out.

Now, to commence dumping from today's trip. I finally had the chance to go to a different Hard Off on the other side of town.

Have you ever beaten a game so easily that you don't count it as being beaten?

First time I played Kirby I breezed through the whole thing in under 30 minutes. It was like kicking a puppy, I just felt bad it couldn't even fight back.

Same sort of deal with Kung Fu on NES. It took a little more work but after an hour or so I could beat it in like 5 minutes. It didn't seem fair.

>>
But did you play and beat KDL's extra game just as easily?
>>
>>4032995
Try beating Kirby on Extra. Hard mode: Set your max health to 1.
>>
If you didn't play the hard mode then yeah you can't count it as being beaten.
